Married At First Sight star reveals devastating cancer battle as she undergoes major surgery: 'I'm crying writing this'
Christie Jordee has revealed she has undergone her second round of surgery as she battles breast cancer. The 47-year-old, who appeared on the second season of Married At First Sight, shared images taken in her hospital bed in an Instagram post this week. 'Second surgery done. Still high as a kite but it was a success! Getting there,' she wrote in her caption. Christie added a thank you to her 'partner in crime ' Trent Victorsen, adding, 'We got this. Love you so much'. In the photos, the former reality star smiled while wearing a hospital gown, keeping her spirits up despite the circumstances. 'Warning some sensitive pics in here but sometimes good to look and go "I freaking did it!" Still doing it, but come so far already!' she added. 'I couldn't have done it without my family and friends! I love you all so much! I'm crying writing this, thinking how lucky I am.' Jordee shot to fame in 2016, when she appeared on the second season of Married At First Sight. While the bubbly brunette quickly became a fan favourite alongside her 'husband' Mark Hughes, things quickly unravelled when the cameras stopped rolling. Christie later claimed she struggled in the wake of her subsequent split from Mark, saying she 'went through hell' and was not properly supported by the show's producers, who were only interested in creating good TV. Jordee shot to fame in 2016, when she appeared on the second season of Married At First Sight. She was paired with Mark Hughes (left) Speaking with BW magazine, Christie revealed she was left devastated by viewer backlash when the news broke that she and Mark had split. Although the couple had remained together in the final episode of the show, they announced their break-up two months later. Christie was blamed by many MAFS fans for the split, and was subject to a torrent of online abuse. She told BW: 'I'll never forget that day (the split was announced). I was just pacing and I ended up on the floor in a foetal position. I couldn't breathe. I think I was hysterically crying for about three solid hours. 'It affected me for a good year, year and a half, mentally, and to mend. The show should have done so much more. There should have been full-on counselling, but I think what they should have done is actually match us properly, not just for TV.'

MAFS star Christie Jordee gives an update to fans after shock cancer diagnosis
Married At First Sight star Christie Jordee has revealed she has undergone surgery as she continues to battle cancer. The season two contestant shared a series of pictures from her hospital stay on Instagram, telling fans she has now gone under the knife twice. '2nd surgery done. Still high as a kite but was a success!' Jordee wrote in the caption. 'Getting there. Esp with my partner in crime right by my side. We got this. Love you so much xxx.' Jordee first revealed her cancer diagnosis to followers earlier this year, explaining she'd been given the shock news '10 days before Christmas' after getting checked due to finding a lump. 'I was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer,' she said. '3mm under stage three.' Jordee added that it had been a 'tough journey' and that she knew she had a big road ahead' of her. Jordee has kept a relatively low profile in recent years after stepping into the spotlight on MAFS, but revealed back in 2018 she had been left devastated by viewer backlash in the wake of her season. Jordee told BW magazine that she had been targeted by angry fans and blamed for her break-up with Hughes when they shared the news, leaving her 'hysterically crying'.
