Former Presbyterian minister reveals his congregation spied on him as dossier of complaints lies for three years

Ex-minister says he suffered a mental breakdowbln after discovering members tracked him over a living arrangements disputeA surveillance rota was drawn up as some parts of the congregation believed he was not staying in an allocated manseA dossier featuring complaints has been left with an Information Commissioners' Office for three years An Ex-Presbyterian minister has revealed that members of his own congregation spied on him. The minister says he suffered a breakdown after discovering members of his flock tracked him over living arrangements dispute. A surveillance rota was drawn up because of a belief he was not staying in a manse after a request to live in his own home was refused by the church. According to a letter from the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the minister was being 'covertly monitored' for 'insurance purposes'. That story broke after it was revealed that a dossier alleging inappropriate behaviour within the Presbyterian Church is still on the desk of an independent regulator — three years after it was submitted. Former Alliance Leader Lord Alderdice says he is deeply frustrated that the dossier hasn't been reviewed. The dossier was sent to the Charity Commission expressing concerns on the legitimacy of the church's charity status due to its alleged ill-treatment of some of those working for the church. The Indo Daily: Noraid- The IRA and Sinn Féin's American funding wing - where all those dollars went

From lavish dinners to buckets in Irish pubs in the US, Noraid members collected millions of dollars for the republican cause. But the question was always: where did the money go? Did it – as claimed – go to help support the families of imprisoned IRA members or did it go towards buying arms? And if it did, were Noraid members involved in gun-running? RTÉ is set to broadcast a two-part documentary Noraid: Irish-America and the IRA. This series looks at how Irish-Americans helped to keep the Provisional IRA's armed campaign going, but also ultimately brought it to a conclusion. It was written and directed by Kevin Brannigan – he joined Ciarán Dunbar on The BelTel. Today's Indo Daily podcast comes from our sister podcast The BelTel.

Seachtain: Kneecap - Mo Chara sa chúirt agus legal ‘dream team' leis

Tá sé curtha ina leith gur thaispeáin sé brat Hezbollah agus é ar stáitse i Londain, agus go raibh sé sin ina chomhartha tacaíochta don eagraíocht thoirmiscthe. D'fhoilsigh Kneecap ráiteas ar na meáin shóisialta inar shéan siad go ndearnadh aon choir agus gheall siad go ndéanfaidís cosaint ar 'a gcearta' go fíochmhar. Thug siad le fios gur 'ionsaí polaitiúil' é seo ón stát Bhriotanach atá dírithe orthusan mar 'ealaíontóirí ó phobal faoi chois'. Ar Seachtain, míníonn an t-iriseoir Ciarán Dunbar cad a thit amach inniu, taobh istigh den chúirt agus taobh amuigh de. Chaos in London as Kneecap's Mo Chara appears in court over terror charge

Hundreds turned out to support the rapper as he entered court – having arrived in a mocked up RUC landover. The west Belfast rapper, real name Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, is charged with a terror offence over the alleged display of a Hezbollah flag at a concert in London last year. He's represented by what has been described as a legal 'dream team' of prestigious solicitors and KCs, and a high-profile ad campaign in London. Confirming his name to the judge in Irish, an interpreter has been sought for further proceedings. He was released on unconditional bail until his next hearing on August 20 when legal argument will be dealt with. Ciarán Dunbar is joined by Belfast Telegraph crime correspondent Allison Morris and BelTel Podcast assistant producer Olivia Peden.
