Oasis full setlist 'confirmed' two days before Liam and Noel Gallagher reunite
Cardiff has already had a sneak peek of what's in store when Oasis take to the stage for the first time in over a decade this Friday. The iconic Britpop band are mere days away from one of the most monumental reunions in music history as the feuding Liam and Noel Gallagher finally make peace. The band has already made waves with their sell-out tour, set to commence their global journey later this week. Oasis have touched down in Cardiff to add the final touches, and nearby fans report having heard the full setlist during rehearsals. Earlier this week, locals near the stadium were treated to the sound of Cigarettes and Alcohol echoing from the venue. Hits like Some Might Say and F****n' In The Bushes were also heard blaring out across the Welsh capital. According to a fan on Reddit, Oasis are planning a hefty 24-song setlist. The Reddit user shared the rehearsal setlist, providing fans with a hint of what might be performed at the live shows. They revealed that the setlist begins with an intro of F****n' in the Bushes, followed by Hello, Acquiesce, Morning Glory, and then Some Might Say, reports the Mirror. Cigarettes and Alcohol is up next, followed by Fade Away, Supersonic, Roll With It, and Bring It On Down. It's rumoured that Noel will perform Talk Tonight, Half the World Away, and Little By Little. The group is rumoured to then kick into 'D'you Know What I Mean?', followed by bangers like 'Stand By Me', 'Cast No Shadow', 'Slide Away', 'Whatever', 'Live Forever', 'Rock 'n' Roll Star'. It's said that Noel will take the lead on 'The Masterplan' and 'Don't Look Back in Anger', before the lads wrap up with a smashing finale featuring 'Wonderwall' and 'Champagne Supernova'. The buzz around the speculated setlist has got fans talking, with many expressing their gutted feelings about the absence of the classic 'Columbia'. One fan expressed: "Crazy there's no Columbia but little by little got my stoked." Another added: "No Columbia?" And another fan pointed out: "I need to convince one of them of Columbia's importance." (Image: Rowan Griffiths / Daily Mirror) Oasis have already confirmed stage times for their Cardiff gigs, revealing that doors will open at 5pm, with the first support act Cast getting the crowd going at 6pm. Then, The Verve's main man and friend of the Gallaghers, Richard Ashcroft, is set to entertain at 7pm. Oasis are all set for their epic return to the stage at 8:15pm, promising a show-stopping performance lasting just over two hours, before they bring down the curtain for a 10:30pm curfew. The band got back together a few months ago, making sure they're in tip-top shape for their live performances. The first snaps of the band stepping out from rehearsals in London emerged in May. Noel, along with his Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer and Andy Bell - who will be on guitar duty at the massive sold-out shows, with Andy on bass - was spotted, followed by Liam's entrance on June 3 after a brief vocal rest. The band has also welcomed new faces with Christian Madden on keyboards and Joey Waronker, who's toured with Liam before but is new to Oasis, on drums. Discussing the eagerly anticipated gigs, an insider revealed: "With a new line-up and it being such a huge first show, the boys will do some songs inside the venue too. Some tours would start with a smaller show or take a week or two to get into the groove again. "But there is no time for that, and also Liam and Noel want every night to be massive. This is such a huge comeback show, and they are taking it very seriously. It all points to it being an incredible comeback tour." The much-talked-about reunion between Noel and Liam this Friday marks their first public gathering since the iconic Oasis went their separate ways nearly two decades past. After Noel walked out on Oasis on August 28, 2009, he declared he could no longer bear working with Liam a moment more, and the siblings have been lobbing verbal grenades at each other across the media for years on end. Tickets for the Oasis reunion sold out across all venues due to huge demand when they went online earlier in the year. However, there are still several options available for fans trying to snag a last-minute spot. Limited last-minute tickets can be bought from the official Ticketmaster resale site, where fans who can no longer go sell their seats, although these tend to go into and out of stock quickly. Elsewhere, resale sites like Viagogo, Vivid Seats, StubHub and Twickets are selling tickets for various dates, although fans should always bear in mind that many official sites, such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, discourage the purchase of resale tickets. Meanwhile Seat Unique has some VIP tickets available offering a host of additional perks alongside access to the gig. It comes as crowds struggle to cope in the swelting conditions, with one person fainting on the famous grounds. Matthew checked out just how uncomfortable it was to watch a match under the sun, as he wrote: 'Walking from the shadows and up the steps into Court Two felt like entering a sauna, as I settled down to attempt to follow Italy's Lorenzo Musetti and Georgia's Nikoloz Basilashvili battle it out under the scorching sun. 'Along with the smell of suncream, hundreds of hats, wafting fans and lines of umbrellas were the only repellants as crowds watched the pair somehow run around in the baking sunshine.' 'I have covered Wimbledon for the past 10 years and can barely recall it being this hot. Its hottest day in history was 35.7C on July 1 2015. The Met Office said at 2.10pm that Kew Gardens recorded a temperature of 34.2C degrees,' Matthew added. 'I gambled my student loan on video games - it didn't turn out how I expected' In other news, a 23-year-old university student has opened up about their harrowing journey with an online gambling addiction, which began with playing video games as a 12-year-old. Niks Kolosnicins was thousands of pounds in debt, severely isolated and trapped in a vicious addictive cycle of online gambling. He said it started off with something many kids and teens engage in every day. 'I got into gambling through playing video games. 'Basically you have things called loot boxes,' he continues, 'which are quite integrated within the game. So I opened a few loot boxes, which is very normal for kids who play that game, everybody does it.' He was then able to use those items that he bought in blind boxes to sell on an online market and gamble on unregulated websites that "don't have any age verification." He explains: "Even though it's not real money, technically, it's like an in game currency that you're basically gambling, but it's very easy to convert those items back into real money.' Brexit a 'disaster' that 'ruined the country' - referendum 'should be repeated' Mirror readers have slammed Brexit as a 'complete disaster' that 'ruined most of the country' in a poll marking nine years since the UK voted to leave the EU. The vote - which signalled the UK's intention to leave the European Union - ultimately ended a 47-year relationship with the political and economic bloc. We asked readers to give their opinions on Brexit, with over 25,000 people voting in the poll. In response to the question 'do you think Brexit has failed?', an overwhelming 71% (18,565) voted yes, slamming the referendum as a 'disaster', while just 29% (7,520) voted no. Similarly, in response to the question 'do you feel better off since Brexit?', 78% (20,072) said no, while just 22% (20,072) said yes. We also asked 'should there be a second Brexit referendum?' and 'would you like to rejoin the EU?' - responses in both sections backed yes, with 66% (17,129) and 68% (17,572) respectively. Kate admits 'everyone expects you to be better' in brave cancer admission The Princess of Wales has made her first public appearance since she pulled out of Royal Ascot, where she opened up about finishing cancer treatment. Kate met fellow patients at a cancer wellbeing centre at Colchester Hospital, helping to plant roses in a garden designed to help visitors find peace. She talked about the expectation that when treatment has finished that patients "crack on, get back to normal". Speaking to patients and volunteers inside the centre, she said: "There is a whole phase when you finish your treatment, everybody expects you to be better - go! But that's not the case at all." She said: "You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment's done, then it's like 'I can crack on, get back to normal' but actually the phase afterwards is really difficult. You're not necessarily under the clinical team any longer but you're not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to.'

Is Canada now free of internal trade barriers? Not yet, says expert
Federal and provincial leaders are working to dismantle internal trade barriers that push up the cost of goods and make it harder to do business within Canada. But anyone expecting all of them to be gone by tomorrow should read the fine print, experts say. Throughout the spring federal election campaign, Mark Carney as Liberal leader repeatedly vowed to eliminate interprovincial trade barriers and create free trade by Canada Day. The rhetoric has been at times confusing and the political scorecard on this one is hard to track. With July 1 just a day away, Carney's government has passed its planned changes into law — but it's more like the start of a conversation than the final word, says internal trade expert Ryan Manucha. It's a starting gun and it's starting a lot more activity and work, which is honestly the really exciting part, said Manucha. If any of this was easy, it would have been done. Manucha writes on the topic for the Macdonald-Laurier Institute think-tank and authored the book Booze, Cigarettes, and Constitutional Dust-Ups: Canada's Quest for Interprovincial Trade . When I'm advising governments, I say, 'Don't think of this as a light switch, ' he said. We are changing the way that everyone approaches the concept of regulation and risk here, and so it's going to take some time. The rush to break down internal barriers to trade comes in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff war with Canada. One study estimates that existing internal trade hurdles cost the economy some $200 billion a year. Manucha said Canada has talked about this problem for decades but is only addressing it seriously now — and it would never have happened had we not had Trump. He said the introduction of the Carney government's bill on internal trade was incredible to see because the idea was just an academic theory maybe even as little as eight months ago. Bill C-5, the omnibus bill that reduces federal restrictions on interprovincial trade and also speeds up permitting for large infrastructure projects, became law on June 26. An analysis of the law by McMillan Vantage says that this legislation would not achieve the elimination of all internal trade barriers. Provinces hold power When Carney made his campaign promise, he was talking about cutting red tape put up by the federal government — not the rules set by the provinces, which have the most authority in this area. The prime minister described this effort as a sort of quid pro quo with the provinces. We're getting rid of a bunch of duplicative federal regulations. We're going to have a principle of one project, one review — and in exchange, they're going to agree to eliminate all the barriers to trade and labour mobility, Carney said at a rally in Kitchener, Ont., on March 26. The federal government committed that we will sweep away all of our impediments by Canada Day. Free trade by Canada Day. WATCH | Why are provincial trade barriers still a thing? Début du widget Widget. Passer le widget ? Fin du widget Widget. Retourner au début du widget ? Why are provincial trade barriers still a thing? More interprovincial trade is being touted as one potential countermeasure to U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff threats, but complicated barriers stand in the way. CBC's Ellen Mauro breaks down why free trade within Canada is so difficult and what needs to happen to get more goods flowing across the country. But Canada's internal trade barriers won't all be eliminated by then — not even all the federal ones. Canada's supply management system for dairy products, which sets provincial production quotas, will remain in place. Quebec also retains language requirements that will stay in place. Credit unions have complained that the new law does not break down barriers to their expansion into multiple provinces. Nova Scotia reducing trade barriers with 5 provinces (new window) But just how many federal barriers does the bill eliminate? That's hard to sort out. A lot of the details will have to wait until regulations are drafted — a process that will involve consultations with affected industries. I don't really know what this legislation could end up doing because a lot of veto power, a lot of discretion still rests with the regulatory authorities, Manucha said. According to the text of that legislation, it would seem like meat inspection would come off. Is [the Canadian Food Inspection Agency] really going to allow for interprovincial trade and inspection of meat coming from non-federally licensed abattoirs? I don't know. Lack of consensus There is no comprehensive list of existing internal trade barriers. Even some lobby groups have told parliamentarians they don't know how many barriers their own industries face. There isn't even consensus on what all counts as a trade barrier. In the provincial legislation in Ontario, they're talking, for many occupations, [of] having a 30-day service standard for how long it'll take for credentials to be recognized, Manucha said. Nova Scotia, meanwhile, is on the 10-day turnaround time. That's less than a third. Can you call the 30-day versus 10-day a trade barrier? Internal Trade Minister Chrystia Freeland, who has repeatedly stated that most of the barriers are at the provincial level, testified to the Senate that she will meet with her provincial counterparts on July 8 to discuss next steps. One major obstacle is in Freeland's crosshairs: Canada's patchwork of interprovincial trucking regulations. One of three areas that I will be putting on the agenda at that meeting is trucking, she said on June 16. It should be a lot easier than it is to drive a truck from Halifax to Vancouver. We need to get rid of conflicting requirements. Kyle Duggan (new window) · The Canadian Press
