As far as butter brands go, Kerrygold is worth its weight in, well, gold. It's quite literally the gold standard in high-quality butter, and while it's slightly more expensive than your casual stick of Land 'O Lakes, it's still reasonably affordable for the average home cook. It's renowned for its golden hue and unmistakably buttery flavor that gets a boost from its higher fat content and nuanced cultured profile. Some even say it has a slightly grassy bouquet due to their use of milk from grass-fed Irish cows.
Being the cream of the crop might seem effortless for the undisputed heavyweight champ of butter, but even icons know that it's important to reinvent themselves. Much like Beyoncé seamlessly transitions from the atmospheric synth-pop beats of house music to the crooning, bleeding heart of country, Kerrygold continues to prove why it's earned its spot at number one on the Butter Hot 100 that it needs to be anything more than the reliably delicious spread that it is, but we won't complain about getting a little something extra from our fave now and then. In a move we never saw coming, the beloved butter brand just announced a decidedly sweet new item that's got our imagination running wild with possibilities. If you thought the OG was good, wait until you get a load of the new Cinnamon & Sugar Butter sticks from Kerrygold. We totally understand if you're right, friends. As if it couldn't get any butter (pun intended), the fan-favorite butter brand just announced that you can now find the sweetly nostalgic sticks out in the wild, and yes, we're hyperventilating. The rich and comforting sticks feature the flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar, rounded out by lemon juice and salt for balance. Not only would this be great softened and spread on crusty bread, but it's the ultimate cinnamon shortcut and would be fantastic on top of waffles.
You could even whip it up into a luxurious buttercream frosting, but we won't tell if you just take a bite right out of the stick itself. As expected, fans (myself included) were losing their minds in the comments. 'Respectfully, please give it to me,' demanded one fan. 'OMG 😮,' said someone else.
