Getting to the gig will be busy, but there are a few Park and Ride options available. Oasis' Murrayfield gigs are just a couple of weeks away, so it's high time fans started planning how to get there. With over 67,000 revellers attending each of the brothers' three gigs in Edinburgh, which are taking place on August 8, 9 and 12, it's safe to say that traffic will be BUSY. And what's more, the Scottish capital will already be overrun with crowds due to Edinburgh's Fringe Festival, which coincides with the three Oasis tour dates. We've outlined how to get to the gig by public transport and what road closures fans can expect, along with which items are allowed or prohibited from the venue. But another way of getting to the stadium to consider is making use of Edinburgh's many Park and Ride services. Those brave enough to tackle the traffic may wish to opt for a Park and Ride service over driving the whole way to the gig to save themselves from the worst of the jams. Here's everything you need to know about getting to the gig via Park and Ride. Park and Ride options to get to Murrayfield Stadium Citylink is offering several special bus services from various cities, including some Park and Ride spots. Halbeath Park and Ride and Kinross Park and Ride will see these extra Citylink services that will deliver you straight to Murrayfield's doorstop. But because these are special additional services, Citylink has warned that NEC cards such as the Young Scot Card or Over 60s concession card will not be valid on these particular buses. Ingliston Park and Ride is a great option for those taking the M8 from Glasgow or elsewhere in the central belt, due to its proximity to the motorway. The Edinburgh tram can take fans straight to Murrayfield from there in under 20 minutes, or the Airport Express bus also goes through Ingliston and stops outside the stadium. Also just off the M8, Hermiston Park and Ride is another option, from where you can hop a number 25 bus to Restalrig. If you get off on Gorgie Park Road, you're a mere 13 minute walk from Murrayfield, according to Google Maps. Other Park and Ride facilities in Edinburgh include Straiton and Newcraighall, but these both involve longer and more complicated bus routes to get to Murrayfield. Of all the available options, Ingliston or a specialist Citylink Park and Ride service are the quickest and most convenient, but beware to give yourself plenty of time to get to and from the gig as things are guaranteed to be extremely busy. With so many fans expected to descend on Murrayfield, and with Edinburgh already seeing thousands of holidaymakers and crowds for Fringe, planning out your journey to and home from Oasis is vital to avoid frustrating delays and traffic. How to get to Oasis Murrayfield gigs by bus, train or tram - full public transport options
There's an array of options to get to and from the gigs with ease - but be sure to beat the crowds. As the countdown to the much-anticipated Oasis Edinburgh shows continues, it's time to start planning your way to and from the gig. And with over 67,000 fans descending on the stadium for each of the Gallaghers' three shows in the Scots capital, it's safe to say that you don't want to leave your organising to the last minute. Liam and Noel will be taking to the Edinburgh stage on August 8, 9, and 12, when eager fans will finally hear hits like Wonderwall and Don't Look Back in Anger for the first time since the brothers' infamous fallout 15 years ago. But with such a large-scale series of events, which chaotically coincides with the Edinburgh Fringe and Festival, it's very important to know how you're going to get to and from the gigs amid the crowds. With this in mind, we've rounded up some ways you can get to and from Murrayfield Stadium for the concert, including bus, train and tram. Train Murrayfield Stadium is a 23-minute walk from Haymarket train station, according to Google Maps, so those travelling into Edinburgh from elsewhere for the gig would do well to get off the train here. Be mindful that Waverly Station is a fair bit further to Murrayfield, although plenty buses or trams are available to get to Murrayfield from there. Bus Citylink is offering special services straight to the concert venue from Dundee, Perth Broxden, Halbeath Park and Ride, and Kinross Park and Ride to take you straight to the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium. However, Citylink notes that because these are special services, NEC cards won't be valid. Flixbus and Megabus also offer varied options for those travelling from further afield to Edinburgh city centre. If you've made your way to town in Edinburgh, several Lothian buses will take you straight to the doorstep of Murrayfield (where there are also many pubs to have a pint before heading in). The standard adult single fare for Lothian buses is £2.20. Some Lothian bus options include: 26 Clerwood (Lothian buses) 31 Eastcraigs (Lothian buses) 12 Gyle Centre You can get off at Roseburn Gardens or Murrayfield Road to be deposited just outside the venue. Other buses that pass by Murrayfield include the Citylink 900 to Glasgow, although this option may also be pricier than Lothian buses. Tram For those looking for a speedier option from Waverly or Haymarket station, or from Edinburgh city centre, the tram is another perfect way of getting to the gig. With a stop directly at Murrayfield Stadium, you can be dropped directly at the gig in a few minutes. But be sure to always buy your tram ticket at the stop before boarding, as tickets are unavailable to buy once you've hopped on. A return adult ticket for inner city travel on the tram is £4.20, or it's £2.20 for a single. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get to and from the gig, especially when trying to catch a bus or train, as it's likely to be extremely busy on all three nights. Festival-goers heading to Glasgow Green next month should plan how they are going to get there in advance TRNSMT 2025 is less than two weeks away, and if you're planning to join the festivities at Glasgow Green and catch a glimpse of acts including 50 Cent and Biffy Clyro, it's time to sort out your travel arrangements. With thousands set to descend on Scotland's premier music festival from Friday, July 11, until Sunday, July 13, public transport services are bracing for a hectic few days. There are numerous ways to reach the festival from all corners of Scotland, including trains, buses, and there's even accessible parking for those with disabilities. Remember, camping at TRNSMT isn't allowed, so sorting out your transport to and from the festival in advance could save you from being left high and dry. Some public transport may also become scarcer as the day goes on. To be extra prepared, ticket holders should check what items are prohibited at TRNSMT and how much they'll be shelling out for drinks. In the meantime, read on for the lowdown on getting to TRNSMT 2025. Walking Glasgow Green is conveniently located within the city centre, making it an easy stroll from all major travel hubs. These include Buchanan Bus Station, Central Station and Glasgow Queen Street. Bus Glasgow Green is a mere 20-minute stroll from Buchanan Bus Station. It's worth noting that any resident in Scotland aged between five and 21, regardless of nationality, can apply for a new National Entitlement Card (NEC) or Young Scot NEC to enjoy free bus travel on scheduled services across the country. For more details, visit Citylink will be operating special services to the festival from locations across the country, including Inverness, Perth, Kirkcaldy, Falkirk, and Halbeath. When purchasing Citylink bus tickets, please use 'TRNSMT' as your destination. Additionally, a shuttle bus service will run from Buchanan Station to the festival every half an hour from 11.30am until 4:45pm each day. The shuttle will also operate an evening service from 9pm until nearly midnight to transport you back to the bus station. Oasis concert goers have been issued some advice by Taylor Swift fans on how to avoid the mayhem at Murrayfield when getting home from the gigs this summer Oasis concert goers have been offered some top tips from Taylor Swift fans when it comes to getting home from Murrayfield Stadium where the Gallagher brothers will perform for three nights in August on their Oasis Live 25' reunion tour. Liam and Noel Gallagher are set to take to the stage in Edinburgh on Friday August 8, Saturday August 9 and Tuesday August 12. While fans are excitedly counting down the weeks to the Oasis gigs, some have been left worrying about how they will get home from the stadium which holds a capacity of 67k people and will undoubtedly be full to the max. This is an issue that Taylor Swift fans remember all too well after the famous pop star played three nights at Murrayfield on her iconic Era's Tour last June. Fans who attended the gigs will recall the carnage that took place in the capital whilst trying to make their way to and from Edinburgh and it seems Oasis fans are now starting to worry about running into the same issue as they have been warned to stay away from Haymarket station. On a Reddit thread, titled ''People of Glasgow that are going to Oasis in Edinburgh, how are we getting home?'' one user opened up a conversation about how people that live outside the capital are planning on getting home from the Oasis gigs in August. The post read: "As per title, are people chancing being able to get a train home? A coach? A million pound taxi? I'm really not sure of the best plan of action..." One experienced Swiftie from Glasgow was on hand to issue their advice to the Oasis fan. They replied: "Tip from when I was at Taylor Swift last year. Everyone will be trying to get a train from Haymarket, and it'll be f***ing mobbed. "Head to Waverly (either via tram or just walk) and get on the train there, it'll be significantly quieter, and you'll likely get a table seat as well, rather than being stuck standing." Recent performances at Murrayfield include a show from Robbie Williams who kicked off his BRIT POP world tour in Edinburgh at the end of last month. One user who attended the Rock DJ star's gig replied to the thread with an alternative solution for getting home which Oasis fans might find handy. They wrote: "We were at Robbie Williams on Saturday and Citylink buses were pretty decent. "Drop you right outside the stadium and pick you up just a little bit further away be prepared for a bit of wait though because it's busy. "So the concert finished at 10:30 and we were on the bus by about 11:30. Another user chimed in: "The buses run 24 hours between Glasgow and Edinburgh. I don't think it will be that bad trying to get home via public transport." Someone else replied to this suggestion, stating: "Make sure to book the CityLink 900 and AIR buses ahead of time, they fill up quickly." Yet another person advised to take a similar route as they said: "Citylink run all night. Happy Bus run private coach transfers from Buchanan to the event and back." One other user has come up with their own unique way of making sure you make the bus as they penned: "Head to a club till you're completely knackered then head for a bus (they run 24/7 as previously mentioned). By that time most folk will have f***ed off already." Oasis are set to play three shows this summer at Murrayfield Stadium on August 8, 9 and 12. Their reunion tour comes as the first time the Gallagher brothers have been on stage together in 16 years and will kick off in Cardiff on July 4.

ScotRail: Services hit by delays and cancellations today
A signalling fault was detected in the Newton area this morning and has had a knock-on effect on train services in and around Glasgow. Services Affected Include: Glasgow Central to Lanark Glasgow Central to Edinburgh via Shotts Glasgow Central to Edinburgh via Carstairs NEW: We've been advised by Network Rail that they are currently dealing with a signalling fault in the Newton area which is affecting our services. — ScotRail (@ScotRail) June 18, 2025 The train operator has confirmed that Network Rail engineers are on site investigating the issue, but passengers should expect short-notice delays until repairs are completed. In a statement, ScotRail said: "We've been advised by Network Rail that they are currently dealing with a signalling fault in the Newton area which is affecting our services."
