Claire Dominics Buro curates 'Between Worlds' - the groundbreaking launch of Lens by Noor at Noor Royal Gallery

Noor Royal Gallery, one of Dubai's most elegant and conceptually curated art spaces, has extended its debut photography exhibition, Between Worlds, until July 23, following overwhelming public response. Curated and art-directed by the award-winning interior design studio Claire Dominics Buro, the exhibition launched as the inaugural show under the gallery's new visual arts programme, Lens by Noor, and brings together works by 16 international photographers in a sensory experience unlike any other in the UAE. Rather than organising by theme or style, Between Worlds is divided into five immersive zones, each unfolding like a chapter, exploring transitions between silence and motion, presence and memory, the real and the imagined. A hallmark of Claire Dominics Buro's design philosophy is the intentional placement of each photograph - from the stillness of a desert at noon to the blurred motion of passing strangers. The result is a spatial and emotional journey guided by contrast, composition, and narrative rhythm. 'Photography is the pause between reality and reflection,' says Claire Ordovsky-Tanaevsky, founder and creative director. 'But when staged with curatorial sensitivity, that pause becomes a story—immersive, layered, unforgettable.' With a strong background in cultural storytelling and high-end hospitality design, the studio approached the exhibition not just as a display, but as an experience. Walls were sequenced like sentences. Light became narrative. Silence became space. One visitor described the experience as: "Frames filled with grace and stillness. Countries and cities that speak no louder than the silence. People no longer posing. These photographs aren't watched - they're entered. Each one feels like a revelation spoken in a forgotten language we instantly recognise.' The venue itself - home to rare works by Picasso and Pissarro, and set within Noor Royal Gallery's refined architectural frame - added further depth and dignity to the exhibition. 'Curating in a space as beautiful and serene as Noor,' says Konstantin Ordovsky-Tanaevsky, CEO and partner of Claire Dominics Buro, 'allowed us to shape something both visually strong and emotionally resonant.' As Noor Royal Gallery deepens its cultural footprint, and Claire Dominics Buro continues to redefine the language of design and emotion, Between Worlds stands as a testament to what can emerge when vision, story, and space align.

Claire Dominics Buro supports global women's art platform at DIFC

Claire Dominics Buro, an award-winning international luxury design studio with roots in Italy and Spain and a headquarters in Dubai, proudly served as a strategic partner for the 8th edition of Art Connects Women, held at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) from April 8–11, 2025. Curated by Zaahirah Muthy, founder of ZeeArts Gallery, this year's exhibition marked a milestone in the global art community, showcasing works from 112 female artists representing 112 countries—a record-breaking edition that celebrated diversity, heritage, and cross-cultural artistic dialogue. Among the standout contributions was Claire Dominics Buro's presentation of 'In Search of Yourself', a thought-provoking sculptural piece by Tatiana Latynina de Ordovsky-Tanaevsky, the founder's mother-in-law. The sculpture invites viewers on a transcendent, gender-defying journey—interweaving personal memory with universal themes of creative autonomy, resilience, and reinvention. Claire Ordovsky Tanaevsky, the studio's founder and art director, acted as a patron and honored speaker at the accompanying Accelerate Action event, held in partnership with UNESCO and DIFC. During a high-level panel discussion, she highlighted the power of lifelong learning, cultural immersion, and emotional depth as fundamental pillars of sustainable and ethical design. "To create with integrity, one must listen, travel, and understand the historical and emotional layers of whose place is meant to be built within," she shared. As a design house known for its culturally embedded interiors and architectural storytelling, Claire Dominics Buro's portfolio spans continents — from the Mexican Riviera to the Japan Sea. The studio is celebrated globally for crafting hospitality and residential spaces that fuse refined luxury with emotional resonance. 'Design is not just about how something looks; it's about how it makes you feel,' said Claire. 'We aim to create spaces that foster connection, comfort, and identity — that's the soul of meaningful design.' The event also witnessed a visit from the chairwoman of Dubai Culture, who met with artists and partners, acknowledging the cultural and societal significance of the initiative. Claire Dominics Buro continues to champion art, sustainability, and storytelling in design, reinforcing its mission to shape spaces that speak to the heart of human experience.
