Machine Gun Kelly brings 'music and laughs' to baby daughter

Machine Gun Kelly's parenting "specialty" is bringing "music and laughs". The 35-year-old musician - whose former partner Megan Fox gave birth to their daughter Saga Blade in March - has been relishing getting the chance to catch up on some sleep while away performing and while he noted the Transformers actress has a "rougher" time than he does with a newborn in the house, he is doing his best to shower his little girl with love. He told People magazine: "[I recently] wrote her a lullaby on a ukulele. "Megan is in the no sleep club, for sure. I've been travelling a little bit, just doing some performances. So on those nights, I for sure, just hit the snooze button a million times and I'm catching up on all this. "Women are in the rougher trenches of the newborn process, but my specialty is music and laughs and whatever I can do to make her smile and kind of get introduced to the world with love." MGK also has 15-year-old Casie from his relationship with Emma Cannon, and the teenager is finding being a big sister a lot of "fun". She said: "It's really just so cute. I love her so much. It's so cute. It's like, different, you know?" The Cliche singer is Casie's biggest "cheerleader". She said: "[He] definitely gives a lot of advice. He's more like a hype man, though." Her dad agreed: "Yeah, I'm a cheerleader." Meanwhile, MGK - whose real name is Colson Baker - hopes his upcoming album Los Americana will allow him to be a "vessel for a really happy project in a very dark time." He said: "So I think it'll naturally find its way to people's ears. Good music goes a long way. "And I still believe in albums and people being like, 'Yo, I just heard a great album.' Then you have to hear it. So word of mouth is kind of what I'm going for." The Emo Girl hitmaker finally revealed his baby girl's name earlier this week. He shared a video on Instagram, in which he played a ukulele for the tot, whose face couldn't be seen as she rocked back and forth, cooing in the background. He asked the baby before he started to play: "You ready?" He captioned the post with his daughter's full name, writing: "Saga Blade Fox-Baker." Fans were previously left confused as to the baby's moniker. When he announced Megan had given birth, MGK wrote on Instagram: "she's finally here!! our little celestial seed [tears and heart emojis] 3/27/25 (sic)" Much to his amusement, many fans then assumed the baby had been named Celestial Seed. A few days after her baby, he shared a screenshot of a TikTok video about the birth announcement and wrote on his Instagram Story: 'Wait guys…her name isn't 'Celestial Seed' [cry laughing emoji]. 'Her mom is gonna tell you the name when we're ready." Megan - who also has sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, eight, with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green - and MGK split in November, shortly after it was announced that the 39-year-old actress was pregnant.

Machine Gun Kelly leaves American Music Awards early to be with new baby

Machine Gun Kelly left the American Music Awards after the red carpet on Monday so he could be reunited with his two-month-old daughter. The Cliche hitmaker, who shares the baby with actress Megan Fox, was expected to present during the music awards show but he revealed to E! News that he was leaving after the red carpet to take care of his unwell daughter. "She has a little bit of a fever," he told the publication at the Las Vegas event. "So I'm gonna just walk the carpet and go back, you know what I mean, and handle my business. Give her my pheromones, and let her heal up." MGK, real name Colson Baker, noted that their daughter is doing "great" otherwise and added, "I was born to be a dad. Yeah, it's my purpose." The musician, who has a 15-year-old daughter named Casie from a previous relationship, also gushed over the baby in an interview with Access Hollywood. "I'm just so elated, It's just awesome," he said about being a father again. "They smell so good... I was just meant to be a dad." MGK announced the arrival of his and Megan's first child together on 27 March. The former couple, who called off their engagement last year, haven't clarified their relationship status but it has been reported that they're no longer together. His red carpet appearance comes shortly after the Transformers actress called the pregnancy "unplanned but a happy surprise" on her Instagram Stories. The Jennifer's Body star also shares sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, eight, with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green.

Machine Gun Kelly fans divided over new release dubbed 'one of the worst songs ever'

's new track Cliche has divided listeners across the country with some branding it 'horrible music.' The 35-year-old singer released the song and it's accompanying music video on May 23 but fans were immediately split on whether the tune is a hit or not. The song has more of a pop sound compared to his prior releases, with many fans pointing out that it differs from the hip-hop, rap, rock sound he usually sticks to. In the intro of the new release, MGK sings: 'Tell me, would you stay with me? 'Baby, we could make this home / You should run away with me / Even if you're better off alone.' Some argued that the track was 'boring' and 'corny' while others supported the performer's new sound. On X, one listener said: 'MGK's music isn't even bad it's just the most sterile, generic, like, safe commercialized version of alternative stereotypes gift wrapped so Target can play it in their stores, it's just so boring.' Another said: 'I think MGK could make good music, but he just tries too hard to fit into certain genres and it sounds corny every single time.' On Instagram, one critic commented: 'This is horrible music.' Another wrote: 'Is this a joke?' while a third called it, 'soulless, boring, unauthentic music production.' A fifth person said: 'Oh lord this is embarrassing.' However, there were several people who loved the new track with supporters calling it the 'sound of summer' and a 'bop.' One supporter said: 'If liking MGK's new song Cliche makes me cringe then call me KING CRINGE. That song's a bop.' Another added: 'I really like the new MGK song.' A third said: 'I might get cancelled for saying this but cliché by MGK sounds like it's been copied from somewhere? The beat, the melody... it all sounds so familiar. I just can't pinpoint exactly where I've heard it? Oh wait… I've figured it out… it sounds like song of the summer!'

Machine Gun Kelly leaves American Music Awards early because baby daughter has a 'fever'

Machine Gun Kelly left the American Music Awards early because his daughter has a fever. The 35-year-old singer and his former partner Megan Fox, 39, welcomed their baby girl into the world two months ago, and the 'Emo Girl' star had to cut his time at the AMA ceremony short because the tot was sick at home. He told E! News on Monday night (26.05.25): "Baby's great. "She has a little bit of a fever, so I'm gonna just walk the carpet and go back, you know what I mean, and handle my business. "Give her my pheromones, and let her heal up." MGK - who also has daughter Casie, 15, with his ex Emma Cannon - insisted fatherhood is something he was meant to do. He added: "I was born to be a dad. Yeah, it's my purpose." In a different red carpet interview, the 'Cliche' hitamker admitted life was "awesome" as a dad. He told Access Online: "I'm just so elated. It's just awesome." And he revealed the one thing he loves about being a new dad again, 15 years after Casie was born. He said: "They smell so good. I was just meant to be a dad.' Meanwhile, 'Jennifer's Body' actress Megan recently branded their daughter a "happy surprise". Sharing a clip from Hulu's new comedy 'Overcompensating', in which she makes a brief cameo, Megan wrote on her Instagram Story: "38 years old six weeks pregnant (unplanned but a happy surprise). Please stop listening to the patriarchy. Women are eternal light beings.' Megan - who also has sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, eight, with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green - split from MGK in November shortly after it was revealed she was pregnant. And though the pair have grown closer since their daughter was born, it is unlikely they will reconcile their relationship. A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Megan thinks MGK has stepped up and is being a good dad but doesn't think they have a future together romantically. "Megan is in heaven with her baby girl and is really focused on being a mom right now.'
