Former Cliftonville star swaps West Ham United for League of Ireland club: ‘I'm buzzing to be here'
The 19-year-old has joined the League of Ireland Premier Division champions on a permanent basis. 'I'm absolutely buzzing to be here,' said Moore who has agreed a multi-year deal. 'Shelbourne is a massive club and I'm delighted to get the deal done. I'm ready to get to work, hit the ground running, and show the fans what I'm all about.' The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international joined the Hammers from Cliftonville in 2023. Over two seasons, he made 56 appearances for the development side, scoring 10 goals as the Under-21s finished in second and fourth place in Premier League 2 in 2024 and 2025 respectively. Moore joins Shels ahead of their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round, second-leg tie against Qarabag. His performances for Cliftonville in 2022/23 saw the teenager named in the NIFL Premiership Team of the Year and win the NI Football Writers' Association Young Player of the Year award. Shels boss Joey O'Brien said: 'Sean's a top young player with huge potential. He came into the game at a young age with Cliftonville and earned a great education over in England with West Ham. 'Now he's ready to kick on with the next stage of his career, and we're delighted he's put his trust in us. 'He's an exciting player to watch, really positive in how he plays the game. He can play in multiple positions on both sides of the pitch, which gives us great flexibility.' Luke Byrne, Shelbourne FC Technical Director, added on the club's website: 'Sean is a really exciting talent with lots of potential and we are looking forward to working with him to develop that talent. Shelbourne complete deal for West Ham youngster Sean Moore
Shelbourne have signed Sean Moore from West Ham United on a "multi-year" contract, subject to international clearance. The highly-regarded 19-year-old arrives at Tolka Park following a spell in England with the Premier League club's Under-21 squad. Moore first broke onto the scene with Cliftonville in the NIFL Premiership, his performances for the Reds in 2022/23 saw the teenager named in the NIFL Premiership Team of the Year and win the NI Football Writers' Association Young Player of the Year award. Moore was a regular for West Ham's development side during the first half of the 2024/25 campaign and capped off an impressive year by making his Republic of Ireland U21 debut in a friendly against Sweden in November. He finished the season with five goals, making him the joint-third top scorer for the Hammers' U21s. Moore said: "I'm absolutely buzzing to be here. Shelbourne make bid for West Ham youngster Sean Moore
SHELBOURNE HAVE SUBMITTED an undisclosed bid to sign West Ham United's Republic of Ireland U21 international Sean Moore. The 19-year-old has one season remaining on the contract he signed with the Premier League club when he joined from Cliftonville in 2023. It's understood Shels previously attempted a loan deal for the player, and after that was rebuffed they came back to the table with an offer of a permanent move. An exciting winger who can operate at full back, Moore played over 40 games for the Irish League side before leaving for the Hammers at the age of 17. Advertisement He was initially capped by Northern Ireland at youth level but he made his debut for the Republic at Under-19 level before being capped by the U-21s against Sweden last year.

McLaughlin named NIFWA player of the month
Cliftonville's Naomi McLaughlin says she is "buzzing" to be named June's Women's Premiership player of the month by the Northern Ireland Football Writers' Association. McLaughlin played a key role in all four goals as Cliftonville overturned a two-goal deficit to beat Glentoran 4-2 in the League Cup final at 19-year-old also scored against Larne and impressed in the win over Lisburn."It's great to pick up Player of the Month," said McLaughlin."I'm just glad to help the team in any way I can."I was involved in all four goals in the League Cup final. That was really nice for me."What a game. We always make it hard for ourselves, but I'm glad I could help the team and four assists is good for anyone so I was happy about that."McLaughlin moved to Solitude from Sion Swifts at the beginning of 2024 but struggled with injury in the Reds' treble-winning year.
