Co-op store in Nelson seeks to extend alcohol sale hours
The store, located at 6-10 Commercial Street, has submitted an application to Caerphilly County Borough Council to change its current licensing arrangements.
If the application is approved, the store would be allowed to sell alcohol from 6am to 11pm, Monday to Sunday.
This represents a change from the store's current schedule, which permits alcohol sales from 8am to 11pm on weekdays, 10am to 10.30pm on Sundays, and with specific hours on Christmas Day and Good Friday.
The application also requests the removal of existing conditions that restrict the times alcohol can be sold.
The store's owners, Co-operative Group Food Limited, have stated that all other aspects of the licence will remain the same.
Members of the public who wish to express their views on the proposed changes can do so in writing to the Licensing Section at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
