Martin Kove accused of biting Alicia Hannah-Kim, nearly drawing blood
Police in Washington state say Cobra Kai star Martin Kove (pic) bit the arm of co-star Alicia Hannah-Kim during a VIP meet-and-greet at a fan convention over the weekend. Brooklyn-born Kove — who reprised his Karate Kid role of villain John Kreese in the Netflix series — was asked to leave Summer Con on Sunday after Hannah-Kim, 42, said hello and he responded by biting her arm 'so hard he nearly drew blood,' according to a report from the Puyallup Police Department obtained by Variety. Kove then allegedly kissed the bite mark, after which Hannah-Kim and her husband confronted the 78-year-old Rambo actor, who police say 'exploded on them' for doing so. When the couple sought the help of an officer at the convention to diffuse the situation, Kove claimed he was only trying to be 'funny,' saying he and Hannah-Kim 'play fight all the time on the set of Cobra Kai .' Hannah-Kim — who played sensei Kim Da-Eun on Seasons 5 and 6 of Cobra Kai — said she wanted to file a police report 'in case this continues,' but did not intend to press charges. Both Kove and Hannah-Kim have shared content from the event, which included the VIP meet-and-greet, but do not appear to have publicly remarked on the alleged assault. Karate Kid villain denies sexually harassing woman on set amid ongoing shock biting scandal
Cobra Kai actor Martin Kove last year faced a sexual harassment probe from Sony for his conduct on his set of The Karate Kid adaptation, after a female extra said he made her uncomfortable with his behavior. 'It wasn't true then, and it isn't true now,' the Brooklyn, New York City-born actor, 78, told Deadline on Thursday of the complaints made against him more than a year ago. Sources told the outlet that the extra complained Kove had been 'leering' and 'verbally overt' toward her on the Atlanta set of the adapted film franchise. The woman subsequently complained to producers he was making her feel uncomfortable, and Sony launched a probe into the incident. Reports of the Sony investigation into the actor come after Kove admittedly bit costar Alicia Hannah-Kim at a fan event on June 22 in Puyallup, Washington, claiming he was immersed in their respective roles on the series. Daily Mail has reached out to Kove's reps for further details on the incident. Kove - who portrayed the role of villainous karate instructor John Kreese in the first three Karate Kid film in the 1980s - told the outlet that he didn't do anything wrong. Kove, who has reprised his role of Kreese on 57 episodes of Cobra Kai since 2018, said that he was honest when questioned about his behavior by Sony officials looking into the 2024 claim. 'If there was something to confess, I would be the first to say it,' Kove said. He added: 'Sony did ask me about the alleged incident, and I was completely transparent.' The veteran actor, who has been active in Tinseltown for more that five decades, said the timing of the news going public was suspect. 'This is so bizarre,' he said, 'as it was in April of last year.' According to the outlet, the initial complaint had enough merit to pursue further investigation. A source told Deadline the actor 'was read the riot act' by producers and executives who met with him to discuss the issue as the show filmed its final season. The actor ultimately was 'encouraged by Sony and producers to stay in his trailer' as the situation was sorted out, but that he was never asked to leave the set, insiders told the outlet. Studio officials and producers told Kove he should say sorry to the person who complained about his actions, the outlet reported, adding that it was 'unclear' if he took them up on the suggestion. Kove did not suffer 'any precise consequences' as result of the incident, sources told the outlet, and Kove 'declined to answer questions or confirm details' beyond his earlier remarks. Kove did issue a statement about the June 22 biting incident to the outlet, expressing remorse and regret toward the way he behaved toward Hannah-Kim at the Summer Con event. 'I deeply regret and apologize for my actions regarding the incident with Alicia, a genuinely kind and wonderful person who didn't deserve to be put in this position,' Kove told the outlet. 'I've always respected her and considered her a highly professional and talented co-worker on Cobra Kai. 'I was being playful in the moment but went too far and there is absolutely no excuse for my behavior. I regret my actions for which I take full responsibility for what I did, and again I apologize to her and her husband.' He wrapped up in saying, 'I'm committed to learning from this and it will never happen again.' Cobra Kai, starring Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser,ran a total of six seasons. The series - was created by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossber - dropped its last five episodes February 13.

He was seen looking disheveled while out on a walk in photos obtained by and he didn't respond to questions about the incident, in which his Cobra Kai costar Alicia Hannah-Kim accused him of biting her at a fan convention last week. The 78-year-old actor and martial artist — who admitted to biting Hannah-Kim in police bodycam footage of the aftermath obtained by — created a bizarre image as he puffed on a cigar while taking a stroll in Franklin, Tennessee, which is near Nashville. Kove was shirtless for his walk, though he wore a pair of weathered gray athletic shorts and black trainers. He appeared to be having an animated chat on his phone while walking. The strange sighting comes as Kove has been engulfed in a sexual harassment scandal after his conduct on the set of Cobra Kai was investigated by Sony last year. Kim then exploded at Kove, saying: 'Its not interpreted as a crime! He can take you away in handcuffs . You committed a crime, that's why we're here! 'I deeply regret and apologize for my actions regarding the incident with Alicia [Hannah-Kim], a genuinely kind and wonderful person who didn't deserve to be put in this position,' Kove said in a statement from Jaffe & Company PR & Crisis Management. 'I've always respected her and considered her a highly professional and talented co-worker on Cobra Kai,' he added, before addressing the incident. 'I was being playful in the moment but went too far and there is absolutely no excuse for my behavior,' Kove continued. 'I regret my actions for which I take full responsibility for what I did, and again I apologize to her and her husband. I'm committed to learning from this and it will never happen again,' he concluded. The report from the incident revealed that Kove did apologize to Hannah-Kim and her husband Roche, though he has since done so publicly. Photos were also taken of Hannah-Kim's arm, which showed a, 'very noticeable bite mark on her arm that was already turning blue and bruising.' Kove was told to leave the convention, and the officer instructed him never to do something like that again. Hannah-Kim played Kim Da-Eun, a powerful South Korean sensei who is also the granddaughter of Kim Sun-Yung, the master who taught taught Kove's character John Kreese in his youth. Kove played the Cobra Kai sensei Kreese in the 1984 classic The Karate Kid, as well as in its 1986 and 1989 sequels, The Karate Kid Part II and The Karate Kid Part III. He reprised the role for Cobra Kai, which is set 34 years after the events of the original Karate Kid film. The series originally aired on YouTube Red for its first two seasons before moving to Netflix. The show enjoyed a popular run over six seasons and followed Kreese's old student Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and his rivalry with Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). The series concluded in February of this year. Kove will next be seen in Killing Mary Sue with Sean Patrick Flannery, Dermot Mulroney and Jason Mewes, while Hannah-Kim is filming the South Korean TV series The North Star. In the wake of the biting incident, a past allegation of sexual harassment against Kove — which he has denied — resurfaced. A female extra on Cobra Kai reportedly said Kove made her feel uncomfortable on set with his behavior, and sources told Deadline that she complained that he had been complained Kove had been 'leering' and 'verbally overt' toward her on the Atlanta set of the adapted film franchise. The woman then complained to producers, and Sony subsequently launched an investigation into the alleged incident. has contacted Kove's representatives for comment but hasn't received a response. Kove was reportedly told by Sony reps and Cobra Kai producers to stay in his trailer as they tried to sort out what was happening on set. While the actor was never asked to leave the set, he was encouraged to apologize to the extra, although it's unknown whether that happened. Any conversation between Sony and Kove didn't result in punishment for the actor, Deadline reported. Speaking via his manager, Kove denied the allegations of inappropriate behaviour, noting if 'there was something to confess, I would be the first to say it.'
