Island wedding a picture-perfect reality
Katie and Jon met at 16 and tied the knot 25 years later.
They flew 50 of their closest family and friends to the Cocos (Keeling) Islands and put on a weekend-long wedding extravaganza.
The local community came together for the very special occasion.
Local celebrant Amy Rossbach conducted the ceremony, a local teacher played the aisle music, and Cocos Picnics make charcuterie cups. Locals also helped put the marquees up and were behind the bar.
The icing on the Cocos cake? Bride Katie flew saxophonist Laura Wilkins up to surprise her husband with his dream tunes in the evening.
The big day took place on March 15, 2025, at bride Katie's birthplace — the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
Katie's gorgeous dress was a Stella York design from Tuscany Bridal, and Jon wore linen trousers from Robertson Sand and a linen shirt from MJ Bale.
The newlyweds spent three weeks on Cocos following the wedding, and plan on a child-free trip to Bali in 2026.
