Marshall County authorities find man shot, say death investigation is underway
MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Marshall County Coroner says authorities are investigating after a man was found dead Tuesday morning near Asbury. Coroner Cody Nugent said his office and the Marshall County Sheriff's Office launched the death investigation after the man was found shot on Brothers Road. He said his office responded to the scene around 9:30 a.m. Nugent said that the man's remains have been sent to the Alabama Department of Forensics in Huntsville for autopsy and further investigation. The coroner said the manner of the death is not known at this time, as the sheriff's office is continuing to investigate. News 19 has reached out to the sheriff's office for more information. Marshall County death investigation ongoing, person of interest in custody
MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Marshall County Sheriff's Office said a person of interest is in custody after a man was found dead Tuesday morning. Coroner Cody Nugent said his office and the Marshall County Sheriff's Office launched a death investigation after a man was found shot on Brothers Road on July 8. The sheriff's office told News 19 that one person of interest is in custody on other charges.
