Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.16% in an upbeat market
NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 11:18AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market. ADVERTISEMENT Coforge Ltd.(up 1.77 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(up 1.0 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 0.59 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd.(up 0.36 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.22 per cent) were among the top gainers. Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.58 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.33 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 0.19 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty IT index was up 0.16 per cent at 39013.3 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 15.25 points at 25532.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 85.41 points at 83691.87. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red. ADVERTISEMENT Shares of Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power, JP Power, IDFC First Bank and NMDC were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.44%
NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a negative note on Friday. ADVERTISEMENT Shares of Coforge Ltd.(up 0.61 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.49 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.3 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.94 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd.(down 0.93 per cent) and Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day. The Nifty IT index closed 0.44 per cent down at 38822.95. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 88.8 points at 25637.8, while the BSE Sensex stood up 303.03 points at 84058.9. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 ended in the green, while 23 closed in the red. NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a positive note on Friday.
