Dominic Gape: 'Now I feel like it's my turn to be that senior pro'
DOMINIC Gape is ready to embrace being one of Colchester United's senior players - and help them enjoy a successful League Two campaign. The 30-year-old central midfielder has joined the U's on a permanent deal from Shrewsbury Town. Advertisement Gape has nearly 200 EFL appearances to his name and has featured in every division of English professional football, from the Premier League to League Two. The former Southampton youngster enjoyed two promotions while at Wycombe Wanderers under Gareth Ainsworth and is now looking forward to bringing his experience and knowledge to the JobServe Community Stadium, after joining the U's. Gape told 'I'm a central midfielder who likes to get around the pitch, make tackles, and recycle the ball. 'Coming through at Wycombe, I was really lucky to have a great group of senior pros to help guide me. Bus and digger collide near Colchester
Police are at the scene of a serious collision between a bus and a digger. Officers were called to Wivenhoe Road between Wivenhoe and Alresford, near Colchester, at around 10:35 BST.
