Colleen Bready's forecast: Severe weather possible throughout Manitoba Friday
Colleen Bready has your current conditions and updated weather forecast for June 27, 2025. It is another hot late June day in southern Manitoba on Friday, with the potential for severe storms to develop. Much like earlier this week, widespread instability is developing across the region. The culprit is a cluster of low pressure disturbances, which could provide more than one trigger for severe weather beginning Friday afternoon. Much like the south, daytime highs across most of the north will reach the mid-20s in most areas on Thursday, including as far north as Churchill. An air quality alert remains in effect Thursday for the Lynn Lake region, related to wildfire smoke concerns. According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), strengthening south winds moving in behind a departing ridge of high pressure could send smoke north and into the town. Back in Winnipeg, football fans can look forward to pleasant conditions for the Bomber game Thursday evening at Princess Auto Stadium. Temperature will be in the low 20s with a clearing sky. South winds will be around 20 km/h. Meanwhile, it could be a very different story for the southwest. ECCC said potentially severe storms could move into the region late Thursday evening from Saskatchewan, with more severe weather expected in parts of the southwest on Friday.

Colleen Bready's Forecast: June temperatures return to Manitoba
Colleen Bready has your current conditions and updated weather forecast for June 24, 2025. After a cool and cloudy start to the week on Monday, conditions on Tuesday are warm and windy in Winnipeg and across southern Manitoba and northwestern Ontario. Strong and gusting southwest winds under a surface ridge of high pressure will help bring temperatures back to normal late June daytime highs in the mid-20s this afternoon. Low pressure moving into the province Tuesday could help trigger severe thunderstorms in southern Manitoba late this afternoon or in the evening. Colleen Bready's Forecast: A cool and windy start to the week
Colleen Bready has your current conditions and updated weather forecast for June 23, 2025. After thunderstorms rolled through Winnipeg on Sunday, conditions in the city and across southern Manitoba are cool and windy on Monday. Daytime highs across the region will only reach the low to mid-teens Monday afternoon, well below seasonal norms in the mid-20s. There's also a varying chance of showers across the south. Showers are more likely in the southwest, but wildfire-affected areas in the southeast, including Nopiming Provincial Park, could see some much-needed precipitation, too. Conditions are similar Monday across northwestern Ontario. Meanwhile, a low over Rainy River in northwestern Ontario will bring rain to much of central and northern Manitoba on Monday. Anywhere from 5 to 20 mm of rainfall is expected. There is no real risk of thunderstorms, so the rain will be welcomed in most wildfire-affected areas. However, rain likely won't reach as far north as Lynn Lake, which is also contending with a nearby wildfire. Air quality in Manitoba is good Monday, relatively speaking, with the exception of smoke closer to wildfires. Environment and Climate Change Canada has no air quality alerts in effect on Monday. Ahead Tuesday, temperatures in Winnipeg will return to normal for late June, with a high in the mid-20s under a mix of sun and cloud.
