Second-year Saints tight end Dallin Holker announces his retirement

After an eventful day in New Orleans -- from the buzz surrounding the team's new gold alternates to the retirements of franchise legends Jimmy Graham and Tyrann Mathieu -- another roster move quietly slipped under the radar. The Saints waived former undrafted free agent tight end Dallin Holker as training camp opened this morning. The second‑year player out of Colorado State had drawn some intrigue as a potential H‑back option but never managed to carve out a significant role. Instead, Holker announced on his personal Instagram account that he is retiring from football: I can't thank God enough for the opportunity to live out my dream. I'm incredibly grateful for my amazing wife and family — your love and support have meant everything throughout this journey. After a lot of prayer and conversations with my family and representatives, I've decided to retire from football. I want to thank the New Orleans Saints, Colorado State, BYU, and Lehi High School for believing in me and giving me the chance to chase a dream I've had since I was a kid. Over the past 15 years, football has given me unforgettable memories and lifelong relationships with teammates and coaches — things I'll always hold close. Football will always be a part of me, but I'm excited to see what this next chapter holds. This year should've been Holker's best chance to stick around with injuries to both Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill, who will start training camp on PUP. It's worth mentioning that Holker dealt with his own ankle injury during minicamp earlier this offseason, and that may have played a part in his decision. Holker's most notable moment came in last season's finale, when he caught two of his three total receptions on the year for 11 yards against Tampa Bay. He ends his brief tenure in New Orleans with three catches for 21 yards and no touchdowns. Good luck to him in what's next.

Arch Manning: Preseason draft scouting report on the talented Texas QB

With only 90 passing attempts in 2024, it's tough to compile a full report, but Manning's small sample size lived up to the hype. This is a solidly good athlete at 6'4', 214 pounds, with good enough footwork and strength to shrug off pass rushers in the pocket. His willingness to step up and through traffic is impressive given how little he's played. As a passer, Manning was good, albeit mostly against lesser competition. His arm strength and aggressive nature immediately popped off in the film. He wasn't afraid of (very) tight window throws in the intermediate and deep areas, and his consistency got better the more he played. He's a consistently accurate thrower, and Manning may have the prettiest-looking deep ball in this year's class. When given time to operate, he effortlessly drives the ball downfield, and his arm strength doesn't drop off on the move. One of the more shocking aspects of Manning's game is his running ability. Unlike his uncles, he can run away from defenders with his speed. He shouldn't take unnecessary hits gaining extra yards, but Manning's legs are a legitimate part of his arsenal. In his limited playing time, his processing ability and decision-making were NFL-caliber. Most of his production came against Colorado State, Louisiana-Monroe, UTSA, and Mississippi State. If Manning can be this effective against the SEC's powers, nothing will stop him from being QB1…unless he returns to school. Texas football will be exciting in 2025. Pelicans' Derik Queen to miss three months after undergoing surgery in huge injury blow

Pelicans first-round pick Derik Queen will miss at least three months in a tough start to his NBA career. The 13th overall pick in this summer's draft was injured in a summer league game against the Trail Blazers earlier in the week, and he was diagnosed with a torn ligament in his left wrist before undergoing surgery Friday. The team said Queen will be re-evaluated after 12 weeks, but the injury will guarantee that he will miss at least the beginning of training camp. 3 Derik Queen of the New Orleans Pelicans drives against Darius Bazley of the Los Angeles Lakers in the first half of a 2025 NBA Summer League game at the Thomas & Mack Center on July 12, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Pelicans traded up in the draft to take Queen after moving an unprotected 2026 first-rounder to the Hawks. As New Orleans already rosters Zion Williamson, some were left puzzled by the selection, including Ringer founder Bill Simmons, who said after the draft that the pick left him speechless and blacked out. Queen, the 6-foot-10 center out of Maryland, had a drawn-out recruitment process and ultimately chose Maryland as his college basketball home. 3 Queen, while at Maryland, playing against Colorado State. AP He had a strong season with the Terps, as he was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year while averaging 16.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. Queen had his shining moment in March Madness as well when he hit a buzzer-beater in the Sweet 16 against Colorado State, helping Maryland advance. 3 Derik Queen in a summer league game against the Lakers. WWE legend Brock Lesnar's daughter Mya goes public with romance with NFL star Drew Moss

Credit: Instagram/ Drew Moss Mya Lesnar, daughter of WWE legend Brock Lesnar, has made her relationship with San Francisco 49ers rookie Drew Moss official. The couple confirmed their romance via Instagram, when Moss posted a photo of himself and Lesnar dressed up for a wedding under the caption 'Forever wedding date,' and Lesnar replied calling him 'My handsome man'. For a while, Mya Lesnar chose not to reveal her partner's identity. In an interview in May 2025 for her college website, she spoke about Moss without revealing his identity. The daughter of Brock Lesnar stated that she had a boyfriend, and he and his family had been a huge support in her sporting journey and her record-breaking shot put victory. Senior Lesnar is yet to make any reactions to this news. 'Power couple status' Drew Moss began his collegiate football career at Lamar, where he started all 22 games over the 2021 and 2022 seasons. After transferring to Colorado State in 2023, Moss quickly became a cornerstone of the Rams' offensive line. He started every game that season at offensive guard, helping the team average nearly 400 yards per game while giving up only 14 sacks. In his senior year, Moss once again started every game—13 in total—and played a key role in reducing the team's sack count even further, down to just 10 for the season. The offensive line also helped produce Colorado State's first 1,000-yard rusher since 2017. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Gold Is Surging in 2025 — Smart Traders Are Already In IC Markets Learn More Undo Moss was named to the All-Mountain West Second Team in his final year, following an honorable mention recognition as a junior. She has since joined the global circuit, competing in the prestigious Diamond League. In July 2025, Lesnar placed 10th in the shot put at the Prefontaine Classic. The Instagram reveal turned both Drew Moss and Mya Lesnar into instant headlines. Fans hailed the couple as a 'powerhouse pairing'. Many even cheered that their kids would be a prodigy. A user wrote, 'They are going to produce the strongest offspring the world has ever seen.' Another wrote, 'I'm sorry but I would NOT want to have my father in law be Brock Lesnar.' Third user, 'Awww. So nice to see people happy together.'
