Join Epic Foundation's Mandela Day drive to support GBV survivors
This Mandela Day, Epic Foundation calls on the community to go beyond remembrance and take action.
With a focus on survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and vulnerable communities, the foundation invites companies and schools to make their 67 minutes truly count.
Ways to get involved include
Epic comfort packs:
Assemble comfort packs filled with essential items and deliver them to their offices for distribution. These packs bring dignity and hope to survivors.
Follow this link for a list of items to include: Comfort Pack Project.
67-minute volunteer challenge:
Start collecting items from 1 July, and pack as many comfort bags as possible in 67 minutes on 18 July.
Mandela Wall of Hope:
Share messages for survivors at your office or school. Let your community write heartfelt notes to survivors and post them online to receive a digital badge.
'Together, we can turn compassion into action,' says Epic Foundation founder Alta McMaster.
