Inside Delta Goodrem's wild wedding reception as she shows off dazzling second dress… and rocks out to surprise entrance song with husband Matthew Copley
Delta Goodrem has given fans an insight into her fairytale wedding after marrying Matthew Copley in Malta last month. The singer, 40, looked radiant as she showed off her second dress while partying the night away after saying 'I do' at the historic St. Paul's Cathedral in Mdina. Her stunning reception frock was designed by Con Ilio, an evening and bridal designer based in Melbourne. Delta's second look consisted of a glamorous long beaded off-the-shoulder wedding dress with a plunging neckline. The dress had a corset bodice which flared out to an A-line skirt as the singer and her new husband entered their reception to AC/ DC 's Thunderstruck. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Only Con with his designs can make me feel like a princess but make sense of me entering the ballroom to ACDC's Thunderstruck and being the last one to leave the dance floor in morning hours,' she wrote on Instagram. 'The joy of the day is a feeling I can't explain! Thank you to all celebrating with us, for all the surprise performances, speeches and dance routines.' The newlyweds celebrated their wedding at the gorgeous Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar. Previously known as Scicluna Palace, and Palazzo Scicluna, the venue started life as a hunting lodge back in 1733. The 18th-century palace was purchased by the wealthy Maltese banker Marquis Giuseppe Scicluna in 1898, who had it redesigned in all its opulent splendour. The scale of the magnificent building is fully realised upon stepping through the large bronze-studded doors, which reveal high, vaulted ceilings and a sweeping marble staircase. It has been described as a 'miniature Versailles' – the iconic former French royal residence that was commissioned by King Louis XIV. It's not hard to see why, either, with its interior decorated with an array of frescoes, statues, columns, and works of art. The palace boasts a dazzling Rococo-style gilded ballroom that is lit with sparkling bronze chandeliers, as well as ornate, gilt-edged mirrors – an homage to Versailles' Hall of Mirrors. Delta shared a first look at her lavish wedding with Vogue Australia this week. 'June 2025, Husband and Wife. It was more magical than we both could have dreamed,' Delta wrote in an emotional caption on Instagram. 'We said I do under the Maltese skies in a family fairytale wedding brought to life by so many angels surrounding us,' she continued. 'We are holding on to every memory from that moment, the love, the laughter, the happy tears and dancing till the sun came up.' Delta's first look was an off-the-shoulder wedding gown with a racy sweetheart neckline, designed by South Australian fashion designer Paul Vasileff. The French tulle gown featured gorgeous lattice detailing and a two-and-a-half metre train. Delta said she worked with the designer over three months to create a gown that felt, 'super personal and very special.' 'Paul and I connected the second I got engaged, and we started working together immediately,' Delta told Vogue of the couture creation. The gown, which took around 500 hours to make, included nods to the couple's romance, including their wedding date, a pair of swans, and cherubs embroidered into the fabric.

Australian singer Delta Goodrem reflects on ‘fairytale' wedding to Matthew Copley
The couple wed in June at St Paul's Cathedral in Mdina, Malta, before a ceremony at Palazzo Parisio, an 18th century house with Italianate gardens. Copley proposed to the 40-year-old singer-songwriter, known for tracks including Born To Try and Lost Without You, at Malta's Phoenicia hotel two years ago. A post shared by Delta Goodrem AM (@deltagoodrem) Goodrem's off-the-shoulder ballgown, which featured a two-and-a-half metre train, was designed by Paul Vasileff, creative director and designer of Australian formal wear label Paolo Sebastian. Speaking to Vogue Australia, Goodrem said: 'I wanted to feel like myself on the day. That was really important to me. 'The look needed to feel grounded amongst the fairytale. I did have to start to pull my hair back from it getting so hot in Malta!' Goodrem's dress featured personal elements of the couple's relationship, including the wedding date, cherubs and a heart-shaped pair of swans that was embroidered onto the dress, according to Vogue Australia. She changed into two other dresses on the day, including a high-necked design from Con Ilio, while her partner, Copley, wore head-to-toe Tom Ford with accessories from Anton Jewellery. Speaking about their engagement, Goodrem said: 'Matt proposed to me two years ago in a very romantic setting in Malta. 'We were there playing an incredible televised festival with all of our loved ones and friends on the trip. A post shared by Vogue Australia (@vogueaustralia) 'A couple of days later it was just us, going to what I thought was a lovely dinner after a day out on the water. 'Matt set up an incredibly romantic scene in the iconic gardens of The Phoenicia Hotel in Valetta, overlooking the city's majestic harbour. 'White rose petals, fairylights throughout the gardens and a string quartet at sunset — it was magical. 'So it was a full circle moment getting to bring our family and friends back to the hotel for the wedding week. 'The Phoenicia and everyone there made it feel like home again.' She added: 'Matt and I both are natural creatives. We love to create moments and we wanted everyone to have a magical time with us. 'We live incredibly busy lives and have been touring the world these past couple years. 'We had a clear vision of our very own fairytale but we couldn't have done it without a wonderful team of people bringing our dream to life.' She continued: 'Every moment was a fairytale come true. The whole day and the week spent with everyone were beyond our wildest dreams.'
