All new features in Minecraft 1.21.100.23 preview explained

Image via Mojang Minecraft has recently confirmed its new and third game drop, 1.21.100.23, to be added later this year. Currently the developers are in the experimental phase where they have introduced a suite of experimental features, which aim to enhance the mechanics and gameplay experience of the players. The new experimental features include new mobs, recipes, and mechanics focused on copper. The update is currently available only for Bedrock Edition. This article previews all the features to come in Minecraft 1.21.100.23 version. All major features are coming in the Minecraft 1.21.100.23 update . Here are the following experimental features that are confirmed by Minecraft: 1. Copper Golem As copper is the main focus item for this game drop, Minecraft now has introduced Copper Golem, a player-made mob crafted with copper blocks and carved pumpkins. The main function of the Copper Golem is to transport items that players drop in the copper chest into the normal chest (item sorting). Upon killing one Copper Golem, it will drop 1–3 copper ingots. 2. Copper Chest It is a new block that will only appear when a player summons a Copper Golem. When players drop items into a Copper Chest, the Copper Golem automatically picks them up and sorts them in the nearby chest. Copper chests have 2 types of appearance: waxed and oxidized variants. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Honda SP125: Now with More Power & Style Honda Learn More Undo Copper Chests can be crafted using a Chest and Copper Ingots. 3. Copper Tools Minecraft has introduced copper tools, which are a minor update from stone tools. These tools are introduced with the motive to help early-stage players. Players can now craft tools, weapons, and armor from copper. The copper armor is a great choice, as it will help players save iron in the early stage, and it is better than leather armor. Here are all the tools, weapons, and armor that players can craft: Copper Axe Copper Hoe Copper Pickaxe Copper Shovel Copper Sword Copper Armor Copper Helmet Copper Chest plate Copper Leggings Copper Boots 4. Technical and Parity Updates Here are the following technical and bug fix adjustments: Hotbar can always be hit on any touch device. The detection area matches the texture even if you have custom controls enabled. Fixed faces of non-full blocks (e.g., cakes or trapdoors) having an unnatural ambient occlusion applied to them in some neighboring block configurations. Glowing text on signs no longer gets overly bright when looked at directly in Vibrant Visuals. Fixed an issue where custom armor disabled knockback on some platforms. Fixed a bug that caused Happy Ghast to occasionally suffocate when faced against a wall. Boats no longer play step sounds when on the ground. Air friction is now only applied to boats when they are leashed. Boats are still prevented from orbiting the player when leashed. Boats once again retain momentum when moving off ledges. Fixed a bug where the Happy Ghast riding sound would sometimes play in the loading screen. Fixed a bug where both Ghast and Happy Ghast ambient sounds would not be audible further than 16 blocks away from the player Ghast ambient sound is now audible within 80 blocks. Happy Ghast ambient sound is now audible within 64 blocks. Leashed mobs can now be pulled into boats, minecarts, and other rideable entities if the leash is slackened when close to those entities. Leashed mobs will now automatically dismount their vehicle if the leash is stretched far enough. These are all the features under the experimental phase of the Minecraft 1.21.100.23 update. Copper Golem in Minecraft: Uses, crafting recipe, features, and more

Image via Mojang Minecraft has recently announced their new Fall Drop 3 2025, where now players can craft many more things with copper, like tools, armor, golems, and many more. The new update is limited to Bedrock and will not be featured in Java Edition. The copper golem is now available in the experimental version of Minecraft Bedrock Edition, where players can try out the new copper golem. This article outlines a complete guide on the Copper Golem, how players can craft it, its uses, features, and more information that will help players have a better understanding of the new mob. Ultimate Copper Golem guide for Minecraft Currently the Copper Golem is only available as an experimental feature in the game on the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft, which means players cannot experience it in the default version of the game. Copper Golem will be released as part of the third game drop in 2025, an upcoming update that is purely focused on copper. Crafting recipe for Copper Golem Image via Mojang Copper Golems do not spawn naturally like Iron Golems do in Minecraft; players have to craft one in order to obtain it. To craft a Copper Golem, players first need to mine copper blocks with a stone pickaxe. The easiest way to find copper veins is to search open caves. Copper veins are very easily found in the game, and they look like grey stones with orange and greenish specks. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like American Investor Warren Buffett Recommends: 5 Books For Turning Your Life Around Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo Players need at least nine raw copper pieces to make one copper block, but before that, players have to smelt this raw copper in a furnace, which will convert them into ingots. Placing 9 ingots in the crafting table will give one copper block. Then players need one carved pumpkin, which they can locate in the wilds, usually found in the grassy biome. Once you find a pumpkin block, use the shears to turn it into a carved pumpkin. Then place the Copper Block below and the Carved Pumpkin above it, which will spawn a Copper Golem. If you notice, doing so will not only spawn a Copper Golem, but also the Copper Block will transform into a Copper Chest. This Copper Chest is linked with the Copper Golem's Task. Uses of Copper Golem Image via Mojang Copper Golem is a peaceful mob that helps players automatically store and sort items. Yes, you heard it right. The copper golem functions as a little housekeeper in Minecraft. When players drop any item in the Copper Chest beside the Copper Golem, the mob picks up the item from the copper chest and transfers it into the strong wooden chest. The golem will find a chest that has the similar item and transfer it there; if not found, then it will drop the item into a new chest. The golem can pick 16 stacks at once and sort them. How to change Copper Golem's color Image via Mojang As we know, an unwaxed copper item over time will oxidize and turn into a green-blueish color. Similarly, an unwaxed Copper Golem will turn into a green-blueish color over time. If you want your golem to stay reddish-brown, then you can use honeycomb on the golem, which will not let it oxidize. Through the above guide, players can now craft their own Copper Golem and take advantage of its ability to store and sort items. Copper Golem vs Iron Golem: Which is better in Minecraft?

Image via Mojang Minecraft has now officially announced the new Copper Golem for the game, which players can craft. With this, the game will now soon have three different types of golems. Initially the copper golem was introduced as a mob vote candidate that lost to allay, and now the copper golem is making its way back to the game. The Copper Golem will soon be released with the fall game drop of Minecraft. Difference between Iron Golem and Copper Golem The very basic difference between the Copper Golem and the Iron Golem is the appearance; both golems look different and also have various purposes to serve. The only thing they have in common is that they help players to survive in the game. Key difference between Iron and Copper Golems: 1. Crafting recipe: Image via Mojang Iron Golem: To craft an Iron Golem, players need to place 4 iron blocks, 1 on the ground and 3 horizontally placed on top of it. Then players need to place a pumpkin mask on top and in the middle of the iron blocks. Apart from this, iron golems also can spawn naturally when there are villagers nearby; they spawn to protect these villagers from mobs. Copper Golem: Like iron golems, the Copper Golems cannot naturally spawn; they can only be crafted by players. In order to create a Copper Golem player, you need to place a copper block onto the ground and place a pumpkin mask above it. 2. Purpose of both the Golems: Iron Golem : The sole purpose of the Iron Golem is to protect the players and villagers in Minecraft from various kinds of mobs attacking. But players need to understand that the witches who were naturally spawned will not protect them and will only protect the villagers. For personal protection, the Iron Golem needs to be crafted by players. Copper Golem : It is a new mob that will soon be released to Minecraft. The Copper Golem is a very peaceful mob, and the sole purpose of the Copper Golem is to sort items that players drop in the copper chest. When players drop random items in a copper chest, the Copper Golem picks those items up, up to 16 stacks at a time, and transfers them to either empty chests or chests containing similar items. 3. Appearance: Both the Golems are different in appearance. Since the Copper Golem is only made with a single block, it naturally looks quite small and stubby, while on the other hand, the Iron Golem has a huge appearance. The Copper Golem has a glowing yellow light and a lightning rod on its head. These were the basic differences between Copper and Iron Golems, but still, both have a single purpose of helping the players. How to make copper chests in Minecraft

Before the last update drop of 2025, copper was kind of useless in Minecraft. We all used to toss away this material since it had so few uses, but now there are some very compelling reasons to hang onto it. The first is to make Copper Golems, a new creature that can help out around your base. But, to give them more value besides their company, you will need to make some copper chests as well. Note that you need to make a Copper Golem before you can get the recipe for a copper chest, which I will explain in detail below. Recommended Videos Difficulty Easy Duration 10 minutes What You Need A chest 8 copper ingots A crafting table A Copper Golem How to make a copper chest Once you make a Copper Golem, they will automatically spawn a copper chest. That's just one, though, and one chest is never enough, right? To make more, you will need copper ingots, a chest, and crafting table. Step 1: Craft any wooden chest. Step 2: Place the chest on a crafting table and surround it with copper ingots as shown in the image above. Step 3: Remove and place your copper chest. The Copper Golem is special because it can take any items you put into a copper chest and sort them into your regular chests for you. Copper can now also be made into tools, weapons, and armor with this update so there's plenty to do with this material.

How to make a Copper Golem in Minecraft

If you've been a big Minecraft fan, you might recall an old mob that was nominated to come to the game years ago, but didn't quite make it. As of Fall 2025, that Copper Golem finally gets its chance to shine in the game. This is a very different creature from the Iron Golem, both in function and how you make it. These cute little helpers are the most exciting new way to use copper, but you need to know how to make them. This isn't a recipe you will be making on your Crafting Table, so I will show you all the steps necessary to make your own Copper Golem in Minecraft. Recommended Videos Difficulty Easy Duration 10 minutes What You Need Copper Block Carved Pumpkin How to make a Copper Golem Making a Copper Golem is perhaps the easiest of all the golems in Minecraft. Based on the name, you probably already know you will need copper -- a block to be specific -- plus one carved pumpkin. Here's how to bring one to life. Step 1: Place any copper block on the ground. Step 2: Take a carved pumpkin or Jack o'lantern and place it on top for its head. Step 3: The Copper Golem will spring to life. Copper Golems won't fight for you, but they do serve a purpose to keep around your base. They can help you sort your items by collecting items you leave in copper chests and moving them to regular ones. A cool little touch is that they also oxidize over time, turning from a pure copper color into a more blue-ish hue. That is a purely cosmetic change, however, and they won't work any different as time goes on. Copper Golems aren't the only new use for copper. I mentioned copper chests, which Copper Golems can interact with, plus copper weapons, tools, and armor to craft as a new equipment tier that is just above stone-quality.
