Scattered storms increase for Sunday afternoon
Scattered showers and storms increase through the day, maxing out in coverage this afternoon and evening. While severe weather is not expected, a few storms could bring heavy downpours, gusty winds, and cloud to ground lightning.
Temperatures on Sunday will be near 90 and humidity will be high with a mix of clouds and sun.
Storms dissipate shortly after sunset and the rest of the night looks mostly dry outside of a spot shower or two.
For Monday, spot showers and storms are again possible with the focus for the majority of this activity across southeast Missouri and southern Illinois.
A cold front stalls and wobbles over the region for much of the week which means we'll see storms on and off, especially in the afternoon hours when daytime heating is at its max. Highs each day will climb to near 90 and there will be plenty of dry time.
