Bayern Alumni: United wants Tolisso (Goal) Former Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso is coming off of a solid season for Olympique Lyon and has drawn interest from both Manchester United and Atlético Madrid: Manchester United are reportedly looking to make a surprise move to sign France international Corentin Tolisso from Lyon, contacting the midfielder's entourage as they look to strengthen their squad this summer. Tolisso, who impressed in Ligue 1 last season, is reportedly open to joining the Premier League giants – but the Red Devils face competition from Atlético Madrid. Manchester United have officially reached out to Tolisso's representatives to explore a summer move, according to L'Equipe. The Lyon midfielder is under contract until 2027 but could be sold due to the club's ongoing financial struggles. Atlético Madrid have also shown interest as they prepare for Rodrigo De Paul's potential exit to Inter Miami. Tolisso's career was derailed by an ACL injury that left him without the explosiveness that was once a trademark for his box-to-box play. Always a solid teammate, it is good to see him getting back on his feet. Advertisement Al Nassr wants Pulisic (ESPN) Al Nassr could be eyeing up AC MIlan and USMNT star Christian Pulisic: Al Nassr have identified AC Milan and USMNT winger Christian Pulisic as a possible option to strengthen their attack, Rudy Galetti reports. The Saudi Pro League side are assessing their next steps to bring in the 26-year-old, with the inclusion of 31-year-old center-back Aymeric Laporte an idea that has been considered. This could see Pulisic link up with Sadio Mané and Cristiano Ronaldo in attack for the Riyadh-based club with a FIFA World Cup on home soil at the end of next season. Arne Slot is planning for the Colombia international to be a part of his squad in the upcoming season, but a fee of £69 million would force him to consider his options. This comes after Football Insider revealed on 13 July that Díaz is 'in negotiations' over leaving Liverpool with talks over a new contract yet to progress. Football transfer rumours: Arsenal's Trossard to snub Fenerbahce for Bayern?
Manchester United have realised they still have a Scott McTominay-sized hole in their midfield and want fill it with the former Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso. The box-to-box midfielder might turn 31 in August but has just had one of the best seasons of his career at Lyon – scoring 10 goals and registering nine assists in all competitions – and given the French club's financial problems there might be a deal to be done for around £15m. After weeks of negotiations, United are also reportedly closing on a move for Bryan Mbeumo after agreeing terms with Brentford. The fee is thought to be north of £60m, with the shrewd Bees keen on using some of that money to buy a replacement in Omari Hutchinson. The winger flickered in a struggling Ipswich side last season but was one of England's best players in their Under-21 Euros campaign, scoring in the final against Germany. Another transfer with a knock-on domino effect is Noni Madueke's impending move to Arsenal. The winger's move from Chelsea to the Gunners is all but finalised, and should pave the way for the departure of Leandro Trossard. The 30-year-old was preparing to fly to Istanbul for talks with Fenerbahce but could be persuaded for a pivot to Bavaria, with Bayern Munich also interested after missing out on a number of other targets, including PSG's Bradley Barcola. The Australian wonderkid Nestory Irankunda signed for Bayern only last summer but now seems poised to leave Germany for the English second tier. Watford have tabled a bid of about £2.5m with a 50% sell-on clause, and the teenager is expected to sign a four-year deal. Quite the coup for the Hornets. The issue with Chelsea signing lots of players on expensive seven- or eight-year contracts is that they become rather hard to shift when they become surplus to requirements. Benoît Badiashile may be a bit-part player (at best) at Chelsea these days but is only a third of the way through his seven-and-a-half-year contract at Stamford Bridge, which is due to expire in 2030. Marseille are interested in the defender's services but are unlikely to afford Badiashile's wages, unless a loan deal can be arranged. Someone that could join Marseille (again) is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is said to be leaving Al-Qadsiah. The Gabon striker left Marseille in 2024 to join the Saudi side and now appears to be making the reverse move. Juventus are interested in signing Jadon Sancho but are unwilling to meet Manchester United's £25m valuation. The Italians are instead keen on arranging some sort of swap deal with Douglas Luiz, Dusan Vlahovic, and Timothy Weah all offered to the Premier League club. Sancho is willing to take a pay cut from his £300,000-a-week salary to make the deal happen. It is perhaps surprising that Chelsea are keen on the 21-year-old, given that they have just splurged £48.5m on Jamie Gittens, but also not that shocking, given that it's Chelsea.

Man United 'make contact with entourage' of former Bayern Munich star over potential switch to Old Trafford
Manchester United have reportedly made contact with the entourage of a former Bayern Munich star over a possible move to Old Trafford. The player in question is currently at Lyon having left the Bundesliga champions in 2022 to return to his boyhood side. According to French outlet L'Equipe, the Red Devils are exploring a move for midfielder Corentin Tolissso. The publication added that Tolisso, 30, is not said to be 'insensitive' at the idea of a switch to the Premier League. However, Lyon are not planning to sell Tolisso, as they plan to make him the fulcrum of Paolo Fonseca's side. What could complicate matters is that Les Gones have aready allowed club legend Alexandre Lacazette to leave the club. But they could still allow Tolisso to depart the club given the concerning state of their finances that could have seen them playing in Ligue 2 next season. Last week, Lyon announced that they had won their appeal against their relegation from Ligue 1. Had the decision stood, it would have meant that FA Cup winners Crystal Palace would have been in next season's Europa League. However, it now means the south London side are set to be 'relegated' to the third-tier competition thanks to UEFA's rules on multi-club ownership. As Mail Sport revealed, Palace officials jetted to UEFA headquarters last month to plead their case. Competition rules mean that, in instances where one person has control over multiple clubs which qualify for the same European tournament, the one which finished higher in its domestic league takes the slot. However, the failure to take action to separate Textor from the club before UEFA's March 1 deadline landed them in an administrative nightmare. There had been hope for Palace after Lyon were relegated after breaching financial rules in France.
