ALBAWABA - In Venice, Italy, people are both excited and angry about Jeff Bezos's wedding to media star Lauren Sánchez. Bezos is the founder of Amazon. Some called the three-day party with lots of famous people there the "Wedding of the Century," but it also led to protests.

The couple's party was kept secret from the media and under tight security, which added to the interest and to Luca Zaia, head of the Veneto region, Jeff Bezos, the world's third-richest person with a net worth of more than $234 billion, spent between $46.5 million and $55.6 million on the wedding. People think it's one of the world's most expensive though the party was very fancy, Bezos made a charitable promise by giving €1 million to the Corila Center, an organization that does study on the environment in the Venice lagoon.
