Report – Inter Milan To Hit ‘Net Spend Ceiling' With €45M Bid For Atalanta Talisman

Inter Milan will reportedly hit their 'net spend ceiling' with a €45 million bid for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman. This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. It has already been a busy summer for Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri have made a total of three signings so far. They've brought in the likes of Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique, and Ange-Yoan Bonny. These deals set Inter back a total of around €60 million. And that has been without funding them with major sales. Aleksandar Stankovic left for Club Brugge this week. And Tajon Buchanan will soon follow Stankovic out the exit door, joining Villarreal. These sales will earn Inter around €18 million in total. However, Inter are also working on an ambitious deal for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman. La Dea rejected Inter's opening bid of €40 million. However, the Nerazzurri will reportedly raise their offer to around €45 million this week. That does not mean that the Nerazzurri will not be able to make any more signings. However, it will become necessary for Inter to finance incoming deals with fees from sales. Therefore, if Inter are to go after other big targets like Giovanni Leoni, they will have to make sales first.

Inter Milan Haven't Given Up On Signing Parma Star – But Must Make Sales First

Inter Milan have not given up on signing Parma defender Giovanni Leoni, but will have to make sales first to do so. This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. For the last several weeks, Inter have been heavily linked with Parma defender Giovanni Leoni. Reportedly, the 19-year-old is the player the Nerazzurri see as ideal for the long-term future of their defense. Furthermore, the fact that Leoni had worked with coach Cristian Chivu last season has further bumped him up Inter's list of targets. However, the price tag for Leoni would be quite high. Reportedly, Parma are holding out for as much as €40 million to sell the teenage defender. (Photo by) That high price tag could be a big problem for Inter. The Nerazzurri have already invested in the signings of Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique, and Ange-Yoan Bonny this summer. Moreover, Inter are reportedly ready to spend big to bring in Ademola Lookman from Atalanta. Therefore, the Nerazzurri can hardly just continue spending indefinitely. They would have to bring in more cash from players in order to fund a move for Leoni. Inter have already brought in a total of around €18 million by selling Aleksandar Stankovic and Tajon Buchanan. However, these are far from enough to finance a move for Leoni. Parma are hardly going to go below €35 million in their demands. According to the Corriere dello Sport, Inter are aiming to sell the likes of Mehdi Taremi, Kristjan Asllani, Sebastiano Esposito, and Tomas Palacios. If the Nerazzurri can collect a total of around €25-30 million from the sales of these players, then a deal for Leoni could be within reach, the newspaper anticipate.

Atalanta Talisman Only Wants Inter Milan – But Could Change Stance If Decisive Offer Not Accepted

Ademola Lookman only wants to join Inter Milan this summer, but could change his stance if Atalanta do not accept the Nerazzurri's next offer. This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Inter Milan are pushing to sign Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman. The Nigerian international is their top target in attack this summer. The Nerazzurri have already made an offer to Atalanta for Lookman. La Dea have rejected the initial bid, which Inter have not yet increased. However, the player himself reportedly wants to join. Widespread reports indicate that Inter's first offer to Atalanta was for €40 million. Atalanta, on the other hand, are reportedly holding out for around €50 million. (Photo by) A key driver in the talks between Inter and Atalanta is the stance of Ademola Lookman himself. The 27-year-old has made it very clear that he wants to join the Nerazzurri. He already agreed personal terms on the move prior to Inter's first offer to Atalanta. And for now, Lookman still feels the same way. He is insisting on joining Inter. However, the Corriere dello Sport note, Lookman could start to waver if Inter can't wrap up a deal soon. The Nerazzurri will submit a new offer this coming week. They will raise it to around €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons, the Corriere anticipate. If Atalanta feel this is high enough, then Lookman will get his wish – a transfer to Inter. However, if La Dea continue to balk at Inter's offer, then the Nigerian international could very well consider other possibilities.
