Evangeline's Costume Mansion closed the rest of 2025
( — Evangeline's Costume Mansion in Old Sacramento announced it will not be open in time for Halloween after it was damaged in a fire back on June 17.

In a social media post from Friday, the update said that despite the second floor of the mansion being only left with light smoke damage, the first floor is now extensively damaged.
The post said that as restoration and repairs are underway, the business is expected to be closed for the rest of the year. They add that they will also not be able to accept online orders till they reopen.
'When we are ready, you can look forward to a bright and shiny novelty and gift shop— and an even more magical Costume Mansion,' the post said. ' Thank you for all the outpouring of support that lifted our spirits in immeasurable ways… look forward to seeing you in 2026!'
