Two popular apps loved by millions to shut down forever in DAYS – and you might be owed some cash

TWO popular apps used by millions of mobile users are set to shut down next week - and it might mean you're owed some cash. Mobile apps Pocket and Glitch will both close on 8 July. 3 But Pocket's Premium subscribers may be owed refunds for the remaining time left on their subscriptions Credit: Mozilla 3 The Glitch app, aimed at web developers, is also handing out refunds to its subscribers Credit: Glitch Pocket was removed from app stores in late May, when sales of subscriptions also stopped. But Pocket's Premium subscribers may be owed refunds for the remaining time left on their subscriptions. A subscription for the read-it-later app costs $4.99 per month or $44.99 (£32.99) per year. So if you paid for an annual membership that will not be fulfilled, you should expect some money to be deposited back onto the card you used for payments. READ MORE ON APPS Mozilla, which owns the app, said annual subscribers will receive their refunds after 8 July. No action is necessary - just wait for the money to land. It's worth noting that while the app will shut down next week, users will have until 8 October to download their saved data before all Pocket data is permanently deleted. The Glitch app, aimed at web developers, is also handing out refunds to its subscribers. Users have until the end of the year to download their projects before all the data is wiped for good. She burst into tears as she recalled a male escort urinating on her and Combs allegedly beating her during the twisted parties where he forced her to have sex with other men while he watched. When pressed on the stand about the money she received from her lawsuit against Combs, Cassie wiped away tears as she said, "I'd give that money back if I never had to have freak-offs. "If I never had to have freak-offs, I would have agency and autonomy. I wouldn't have had to work so hard to get it back.' Cassie testified that she ended her relationship with Combs in 2018, but that the two stayed in touch even after he allegedly raped her while she was dating her now-husband Alex Fine. Combs reached out to congratulate on her pregnancy in 2019 and told her that she was one of the "greatest women in the world." The court saw one of his final texts to Cassie from March 2020, which read, "One day I hope you forgive me. "We're honestly lucky to be alive. We went hard. Please know I send this message with all respect to your marriage. Love.' Cassie testified that she never participated in another "freak-off," which had occurred weekly for years, after they split. She said she was terrified to refuse Combs' orders out of fear he would hurt her and share videos of the "freak-offs." An audio recording of Cassie threatening a man she suspected of having a "freak-off" video was played for the jury on Friday, where Cassie said, "I'm going to kill you, and then he's gonna kill you again." The rapper has pleaded not guilty to all charges as prosecutors continue to paint him as the ringleader of a criminal enterprise. As the defense tries to prove that she was a willing participant in Combs' disturbing orgies he called "freak-offs," Cassie claimed she was forced to participate in the sex parties even when the two split up. She said she started dating Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, while she and Combs were on a break from dating in 2011. As she was dating Mescudi, Cassie said she still had "freak-offs" with Combs because "it was a job" to her. She said during one of their "freak-offs," Combs found her burner phone that she used to communicate with Mescudi and allegedly beat her and threatened to expose videos of their sex parties. Despite Combs having relationships with other women throughout their relationship, Cassie testified that it was "scary" when he found out she was interested in other men, also including Michael B. Jordan. Jordan and Cassie had a brief fling when she was filming a movie in South Africa in 2015, which she says she started partly because she was getting back at Combs for being involved with another woman. She said was terrified to refuse Combs' orders out of fear he would share videos of the "freak-offs," paired with his increasingly violent behavior and manipulative control. Combs is standing trial for five criminal counts, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
