Starting in early 2026, fans will finally have a real-world place to catch 'em all. PokePark Kanto, the first-ever permanent outdoor Pokemon theme park, is set to open inside Yomiuri Land in Inagi City, Tokyo. Inside PokePark Kanto: What We Know So Far About Its 2026 Opening If you've been following Pokemon since the beginning, the park's name will sound familiar. It's a double homage — both to the original Red, Blue and Green games , which are set in the fictional Kanto region, and to its real-life location in Tokyo's Kanto area. So far, no actual footage of the park has been released. Instead, the official announcement video revealed a beautifully crafted miniature diorama of the park, offering a charming preview of its layout and atmosphere. The park will be divided into two main zones: Pokemon Forest and Sedge Town. Image courtesy of ©2025 Pokémon. ©1995-2025 Nintendo/Creatures Inc./GAME FREAK inc. Pokemon Forest Pokemon Forest is a roughly 500-meter nature walk through varied terrain — think grassy paths, tunnels, slopes and trails. You'll be able to observe and find your favorite Pokémon mingling in groups, hiding in the underbrush or roaming freely around the terrain. This area will include a Pokemon Center, Pokemart and a Pokemon Trainers' Market, where guests can shop for themed merchandise. A Sedge Gym will give aspiring trainers a chance to test their skills, while a Pokemon Greeting Parade will let visitors of all ages meet a variety of Pokemon up close. Two larger attractions are also in development — rumored to include a Pikachu-themed ride and a merry-go-round — though details haven't been confirmed yet. When Can You Visit PokePark Kanto in 2026? Tickets are expected to go on sale in stages starting in fall 2025, with pricing and reservation details to be announced closer to the park's grand opening in early 2026. In the meantime, keep the momentum going — hop on the train for the 2025 Pokemon Stamp Rally , or brush up your Pokedex by getting to know some dark Pokemon lore . Everything To Know On Pokémon TCG Pocket's New Expansion & Trading Feature
Pokémon TCG Pocket issues a warning players who break their ToS will be penalized as the new expansion and trading feature release this week. Cheaters and scammers beware! Pokémon TCG Pocket developers Creatures Inc. and DeNA sent out a warning message this morning on taking action against players engaged in any inappropriate activity to jeopardize the integrity of the mobile game. This comes as an explicit warning to combat cheaters and scammers ahead of the new trading feature being added tomorrow (Tuesday, January 28th) and the new expansion Space-Time Smackdown releasing the day after. As spotted by The Gamer, Pokémon TCG Pocket players just received an in-game message from the devs, outlining that devs could suspend accounts if they are caught using real money to trade. The notification should be under 'Messages' in the top-right area of the game app on the home screen. I have confirmed and saw the whole message today. The main issues the devs pointed out involve players who 'engage in 'in data tampering, real money trading and other behaviour. This is amongst the players who violate anything outlined in their Terms of Service. Here is what the full message reads in the Pokémon TCG Pocket app: 'We are aware that some players have engaged in data tampering, real money trading, and other behaviours that violate the Terms of Use. If we confirm that a player has engaged in behaviour that violates the Terms of Use, we will warn them, suspend their account, or take other action. We will continue to strive to provide an environment where everyone can safely and comfortably enjoy their experience.' To alleviate the pressures of participating in illegal real money trading, Pokémon TCG Pocket already shared how trading will work at launch. The new feature will use consumable items to trade cards and introduces a new currency. There are also limitations of trades such as only being able to trade between friends and not all rarities being included. This is really good news to hear the devs have been putting security features in the game to combat some of the players who could exploit other players with the upcoming new features, and the expansion coming up. It is great that they have already caught players engaging in these activities and have worked out a solution so quickly. As for the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, Pokémon TCG Pocket will be able to experience 140 new cards from the Sinnoh region. This will include legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia and makes it the second-biggest card set following Genetic Apex with 286 cards. Mythic Island was a lot smaller, with only 86 cards. Another observation with this Gen 4 addition is that Dark, Dragon, and Steel-type Pokémon will be the primary focus of the two new packs in Space-Time Smackdown. Also, do not forget that players can grab rewards at Mcdonald's, too, with the latest launch of Pokémon Happy Meals!
