1 dead after outdoor fire in North York
One person is dead after an outdoor fire in North York, emergency services said Thursday.
The blaze happened behind a plaza on Credit Union Drive, near Eglinton Avenue East and Bermondsey Road, that backs onto the Don Valley.
Toronto paramedics said one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a brief post on X, formerly Twitter, Toronto Fire said the blaze was extinguished and firefighters remain at the location.
