Disposable barbecue caused large Croft Hill grassland fire
A discarded disposable barbecue was believed to be the cause of a large grassland fire in Leicestershire, a fire investigation crews worked through the night to bring the wildfire under control at Croft Hill at about 20:15 BST on 3 Fire and Rescue Service said an area of about 2,000 sq m had been destroyed and urged people to "remain vigilant and practice fire safety" outdoors during warm and dry fire service added: "With further nice weather expected, we understand the temptation to enjoy cooked food outdoors, but please consider packing a picnic instead."

Leicestershire firefighters tackling Croft Hill grassland blaze
Firefighters in Leicestershire have been working through the night to bring a grassland fire under Fire and Rescue Service said a crew was called out to Croft Hill at about 20:15 BST on Thursday.A second appliance was requested due to the size of the blaze and a third was later required after "a significant change in the wind speed" saw the fire spread area of about 2,000 sq metres has been affected, the fire service said. Members of the public area are being advised to avoid the area, with Leicestershire Police officers in attendance to help direct traffic.
