Even the Notorious needs a pass: Viral video shows McGregor left outside Longitude gates

'You're not on the list, you can't come in' apparently applies to even the nation's best-known celebrity, as MMA fighter Conor McGregor seemed unable to get into Longitude without a ticket last night. The multi-millionaire sportsman McGregor turned up at the festival in Marley Park on Sunday night in one of his flashy sports cars. But even though he's one of the most recognisable faces in the country, and had his nickname stitched on his hoodie, it didn't appear to be enough to get him past security without a VIP pass. McGregor's attendance -outside- Longitude could have been to collect his mate 50 Cent who was playing out the last set at the summer festival. U.S rapper 50 Cent jetted into Ireland on Saturday night as he was booked to headline the final evening on the Longitude stage. @unknown20867721 McGregor trying to get into longitude for free and gets refused 😂😂 #mcgregor #irish ♬ original sound – Niall Dolan Ahead of his rap gig at Marlay Park, 50 Cent showed up at McGregors Black Forge Pub in Crumlin. McGregor and 50 Cent have, by all accounts, kissed and made up after the pair of celebrities had been embroiled in an unseemly eight-year spat. The pair's encounter comes after a history of online beef, which ignited around McGregor's 2017 boxing match against Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas. McGregor had famously taunted during a press event: '50 Cent's a b****. You and 50 are two fake money b****es. He's bankrupt, and you're about to be.' A file image of Conor McGregor. Pic: Arnold Jerocki/FilmMagic The American artist, better known as Curtis Jackson, dropped into The Black Forge Inn where McGregor was on hand to greet him with the now-best-bro's sharing a warm hug. And it was a case of double celebration as 50 turned 50 on Sunday night so he celebrated his milestone birthday in Dublin City. It is not clear if McGregor managed to convince the security team at Marlay Park to allow him into the festival.

Conor McGregor stuns local residents on holiday with Dee Devlin as he disrupts traffic

More info Conor McGregor has returned to Mallorca, one of his preferred holiday destinations, and it hasn't taken long for him to cause a stir. The Crumlin-born former UFC champion has been out of the Octagon for almost four years, after his last bout, a Las Vegas trilogy clash with Dustin Poirier in July 2021, was stopped in the first round after McGregor broke his leg. Rumours have swirled that a return may be on the horizon, but in the meantime, the 36-year-old has jetted off for some sun with his fiancée Dee Devlin and their children. Yet, training has seemingly continued. McGregor could be seen on social media participating in some intensive sprint drills, though the Irishman opted not to publicly exercise during a quiet part of the day. As the former featherweight and lightweight champion began his runs up a hill in the exclusive Port Adriano, cars and motorbikes flew by, and some could be heard beeping their horns at McGregor, who was disrupting traffic on a road that gives access to the local port, as reported by Spanish outlet Ultima Hora. This didn't seem to deter the fighter, however. He continued his drills as though the vehicles were not present, and could be heard breathing heavily thanks to the intensity of the training. Residents and tourists to the area were reportedly stunned when they saw the shirtless Irishman dedicated to his circuit, and this hasn't been the first time McGregor has used such a method to stay in shape. In 2022, another video was uploaded to social media showing McGregor sprinting up a very similar hill on the island, this time in pitch-black darkness, screaming as he went. (Image: AS) He wrote on Instagram at the time: "Ask yourself this: Why aren't you finding a hill and sprinting it? It's simple, effective, free, benefits are astounding." The Irishman has been enjoying his return to the holiday destination, and has supposedly also been pictured relaxing on his yacht with his fiancée and children, riding on a €10,000 Porsche electric bike, driving around in a Ferrari and tipping the locals well. Whether McGregor will step back into the UFC is another matter. In 2024, the 36-year-old was pencilled in to take on Michael Chandler as part of UFC 303, but was forced to pull out due to injury. It has long been hinted that he will one day return, and the Notorious opened up in April about one specific stipulation that would have to be met should he make his reappearance. "I'll only come back to a stadium," McGregor wrote on social media platform X, revealing that any future UFC fight would have to be staged in front of a knockout crowd. However, UFC head honcho Dana White was asked last month in a streetside interview with Adam Glyn whether McGregor's comeback was on the horizon, and he gave a telling response. "He's not fighting anytime soon," responded White, perhaps sprinkling doubt as to whether McGregor will ever fight in the UFC again. "I haven't talked to him in a minute. But I don't know."

It's a match made in hell as Conor's pals watch team in a 5-1 drubbing McGregor, who was ordered to pay almost €250,000 to Nikita Hand after a civil jury found he raped her in a Dublin hotel, turned in a disappointing performance as he team were easily beaten by Ballyfermot-based Roc Celtic at the AUL Complex in Clonshaugh on Dublin's northside. McGregor's pal James Lawrence, who was also named as a defendant in the civil suit but was found not liable for damages, also turned up to lend his support the MMA star as he pulled on the No10 jersey. Nathan 'Biggie' Little and James Lawrence at the match to cheer McGregor's team The Crumlin-born star, who hasn't fought in the UFC since 2021, was in buoyant mood as he arrived for the game dressed in Monogram Towelling Shirt costing €750 and matching shorts retailing at €630. He was also sporting a €2,800 Louis Vuitton sports hold-all. McGregor walked in with the team off the team bus while his Rolls Royce and chauffeur were waiting for him in the car park. He was accompanied by his own personal photographer and videographer and also had a team of promotion girls at the event handing out free pints of Forged brand of stout, which numerous retailers in Ireland and the UK refused to stock following the civil court verdict last year. A few hundred people turned up for the match, with organisers saying it was probably the biggest crowd they'd seen at a challenge cup final. Conor McGregor takes the pitch with his team However, it proved to be a disappointing evening for the loudmouth star, with rival fans jeering his every move and his side eventually losing 5-1. And just to compound his miserable evening, McGregor was subbed off with 20 minutes to go. Among the enthusiastic crowd was Kinahan-linked gangster Nathan 'Biggie' Little, who has previously been identified in the High Court as being a 'low-level' member of the Byrne Organised Crime Group. Little is also close pals with Liam Byrne's son, Lee, who has no involvement in crime, and is going out with former Liverpool footballer Steven Gerrard's daughter Lilly-Ella. The couple are expecting their first child any day now. Graham 'The Wig' Whelan on the sidelines Little has previously brought Steven Gerrard on trips around Dublin and the pair even visited McGregor's Black Forge Inn during a St Patrick's Day trip last year. Little was seen standing beside James Lawrence at the match. Lawrence was named as a defendant in McGregor's civil case but the jury found him not liable. During the case he denied being the 'fall guy' for the rape allegation against McGregor. The Civil Court jury awarded Ms Hand close to €250,000 after it found McGregor assaulted her in the hotel. The trial judge, Mr Justice Alexander Owens, said the jury had determined that McGregor had raped Ms Hand. Women promoting McGregor's Forged stout McGregor has launched an appeal against the verdict and wants to introduce new evidence from Ms Hand's former neighbours Samantha O'Reilly and Steven Cummins in his appeal. The Court of Appeal was told that Ms O'Reilly and Mr Cummins's house was 'in close proximity' to the home Ms Hand shared with Mr Redmond. During a directions hearing, Mr Justice Seamus Noonan said Ms O'Reilly had claimed she was looking out of her upstairs bedroom window on 'the Sunday night/early on the Monday morning' when she witnessed 'a heated row' between Mr Redmond and Ms Hand in their house across the road. Her affidavit infers Mr Redmond assaulted Ms Hand in a bedroom by punching her and kicking her after pushing her to the floor. Ms O'Reilly says she could not see any blows landing on Ms Hand, but believed she was being punched and kicked based on the movement of Mr Redmond's arms and hips. Ms Hand has described the content of the couple's affidavits as 'lies'. 'My ex-partner Stephen Redmond [known as 'Ste'] did not assault me on the night of December 9/10, 2018, and never assaulted me in the course of our relationship, or since,' Ms Hand said. The appeal is set to be heard on July 1. Kinahan-linked gangster Graham 'The Wig' Whelan was watching from the sidelines as part of the Black Forge coaching set-up for the cup final on Friday. Whelan is close pals with McGregor and going out with his sister Aoife. Aoife has been going out with the convicted drug dealer in recent years and regularly visited him while he was in prison on money- laundering offences. She set up the Stop N Glow tanning salon on Bridgefoot Street in the Liberties area of the capital last year and appointed Whelan's father as the company secretary. Gardai received intelligence that The Wig was on the warpath in recent weeks after the salon was robbed. According to information received by gardaí, they believe that Whelan has identified the suspect as being most likely based in the nearby Oliver Bond flats complex. Gardaí did not receive any complaint about the alleged robbery but believe the culprit is most likely a local drug addict.

Conor McGregor made his feelings on Tyson Fury clear - but he saw through him

Conor McGregor once accused Tyson Fury of "bottling it" for not intervening when a fellow boxer's father was involved in a scuffle back in 2021. As Tommy, the half-brother of the Gypsy King, won his first fight in a year and a half on Friday, fans might be recall the past spat between his older sibling Tyson and UFC star McGregor. The Crumlin-born fighter fired the opening salvo in 2022, criticising Fury for not stepping up when Billy Joe Saunders' dad was manhandled by security at a fight the previous year. In May 2021, Saunders was defeated by Canelo Alvarez in their middleweight world title showdown, and the British boxer's father tried to climb over the barrier to support his son. He was forcefully pushed back by a security guard, leading to members of Saunders' team getting involved in the ensuing melee. Fury, however, chose to keep his distance, watching the incident unfold from behind the railing - a decision that didn't sit well with McGregor. In a tweet posted a year later, the 36-year-old said: "Yup the Joyces. Big Joe!. U bottled it with Billy joe Da, what were you doing there ? ULeft him, Versace t*** Nothing. "Ya's did it right ye right hahahahaaj. Even when I'm wrong i'm right. Who did it right ? The Mac daddy tonight, in house. Miami d12! Bahamas." The jibes between Fury and McGregor heated up not long after, with Fury quickly replying: "Come back when u win a fight mush. And the difference in me and you is i don't get myself in trouble and people actually like me, your just a bully who hit old man." McGregor wasn't having any of it, as he shot back with a string of jibes: "You are just a little r** licker bro. That's all. You stood there while your friends father was being attacked and done nothing. That's the be all end all bro. God luck, God bless." However, earlier this year, Fury confessed that their public scuffle was all for show and a clever play to grab headlines. Chatting on Queensberry Promotions' YouTube channel, the Gypsy King disclosed that they chose their time just right in order to maximise views, reports Dublin Live. "Yeah that was Super Bowl weekend, a good time to get some publicity. Great timing, actually. We were trending all over Instagram, Twitter, Facebook. Pretty good, pretty good work," he said. Quizzed about his true feelings towards McGregor, Fury replied: "I think he's alright. He's a good fighter, isn't he? Or, well, he has been a good fighter in the past. It is what it is. Can't complain, can you? "I think McGregor's about this big (motions with his hand) and I'm about this big (again motions with his hand), so how could there be any animosity? "And we're in totally different sports, so yeah, it's good. We created the headlines which is what we wanted anyway." Since their spat, there's been no reported interaction between the two, friendly or otherwise, and it seems the feud has been put to bed. Meanwhile, Fury's half-brother, Tommy, made a successful return to the ring with a points win over Kenan Hanjalic in Budapest on Friday evening.
