The Culver City Police Department said the crash occurred at about 12:30 a.m. in the area of Green Valley Circle and Bristol Parkway. The crash involved at least one CHP officer. Images from the scene show an SUV with CHP markings with damage to the front. The SUV was off of the main road and on a dirty patch near several trees; it wasn't clear as of 6 a.m. whether the vehicle collided with a tree. Three were injured after a CHP officer was involved in a single-car crash in Culver City just after midnight Wednesday morning. As of Wednesday morning, it wasn't clear how many of the three injured people were officers. At least one of the three sustained an injury that didn't necessitate transportation to a hospital, police said. It's not yet clear how the crash occurred or if the vehicle was in pursuit at the time of the collision. No additional details were immediately made available. Authorities asked the public to avoid the area between Green Valley Circle to Uplander Way as investigations played out.

Culver City police investigate shooting at vigil held for teen gunned down at pool party
The Culver City Police Department is investigating a shooting at a vigil Tuesday night, honoring a 17-year-old student who was gunned down at a pool party in the South Bay last week. Police said around 7:50 p.m., they received a call of shots fired in the area of Culver City High School on the 11000 block of Franklin Avenue. An estimated 200 to 300 people had gathered on the high school's football field to hold a vigil for the student who was fatally shot during a pool party in Torrance the week before, police said. Officers responded to the area and confirmed a fight had broken out during the event, which led to a shooting. They interviewed witnesses, who alerted them about a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was allegedly found with a loaded firearm. Culver City police later determined the individual was not involved in the shooting. No injuries were reported from the incident. "Acts of violence will not be tolerated in our community, and we will work tirelessly in partnership with our community to investigate this crime and hold those responsible accountable," the police department said. Man arrested for allegedly unprovoked attack of woman in Culver City
A man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman in Culver City, leaving her with a wound to the head in an incident that police believe was unprovoked. It happened on Tuesday a little before 7 p.m. near the 4100 block of Madison Avenue, according to the Culver City Police Department. Officers arrived to the area after receiving reports of a woman screaming and bleeding from the head. They found the woman who they said was "visibly injured and holding the back of her head," said a statement from CCPD. She was taken to a hospital for treatment on the injuries that police said were not life-threatening. "The suspect ... allegedly attacked the victim from behind, grabbing her by the head, pulling her to the ground and repeatedly punching her in the head in an unprovoked assault," CCPD's statement said. The woman told police that she was followed by the suspect while she was walking in the neighborhood. They canvassed the area and located a man matching the description near the 4100 block of La Salle Avenue, police said. He was arrested on suspicion of assault likely to produce great bodily injury. "The Culver City Police Department commends the swift actions of our responding officers and the bravery of our community members who intervened in the attack by immediately calling for help," the police statement said. "Our officers' rapid arrival and decisive actions, coupled with the collaborative effort of our community members, directly led to the suspect's arrest and helped prevent this suspect from causing any further harm to our community." The suspect has not yet been identified.

4 suspects wanted for violent Culver City robbery
Four suspects remain at large following an armed and violent robbery in Culver City. On March 15, Culver City police responded to a robbery at a parking lot on the 12000 block of Washington Boulevard at 8:50 p.m. The male victim was selling camera equipment online when he agreed to meet with the suspects who pretended to be a potential buyer. At the meeting, one suspect spoke with him about the camera equipment while two other male suspects also approached. Soon after, a black vehicle pulled into the parking lot. That's when a suspect punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. He grabbed the camera equipment while a second suspect held the victim on the ground by the neck. Both suspects stepped into the getaway car and fled the scene. The victim tried to stop the car by holding on to the door. He was dragged several feet before the vehicle stopped and a suspect pointed a gun at him, ordering him to move away. The vehicle fled the scene and headed eastbound on Washington Boulevard. The robbers escaped with a Sony Alpha 7 S3 Camera worth around $3,200 and a Sony FE 28-70 mm 2.8 lens worth around $2,300, police said. No surveillance images of the robbery were available, however, police described the suspects as: A Black male, 5 feet 10 inches, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants A Black male with a heavy build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, armed with a semi-automatic handgun A Black male, 5 feet 10 inches, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants No description was available for the getaway driver Their vehicle is a black-colored four-door sedan.
