'Drunk' Oasis fan ejected from gig and arrested for assaulting emergency worker

The first show of the reunion tour kicked off last night in Cardiff and there was clearly plenty of drama. Fans gathered from across the globe for the first show of the come-back last night. A video has gone viral online which shows him being carried out by security workers. ‌ Police has since released a statement where they have explained where the fan was from and what happened. They said: "A 36-year-old man from Blyth, Northumberland was ejected from the concert by security, he was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct and assault on an emergency worker and remains in Police custody." ‌ Oasis announced last year that they would be embarking on a come-back tour around the globe. Brother Noel and Liam Gallagher decided to put their differences aside and perform together again for the first time since 2009. They played for more than 70,000 fans as they sang some of their biggest hits such as Champagne Supernova and Wonderwall. However, the show had more than one bump in the road as one fan had to be rushed out of the gig in Cardiff on a stretcher after falling ill. There was chaos in the crowd when one ill fan was given medical assistance. There was a medical incident in the crowd and one person had to be taken off on a stretcher. An onlooker revealed that one gig goer was seen being carried off by the medical crew, with people waving to get out of the way. The woman who needed medical help was being guided across the front of the stage in the pit area, right by the barrier. The incident happened during the band's song D'You Know What I Mean, before they went on to sing Stand By Me. ‌ Liam and Noel have been open about their fall out over the years but now the brothers have managed to see eye to eye. Ahead of the tour, Noel had given an interview where he discussed the huge universal appeal of Oasis. "A new generation recognises how Oasis wasn't manufactured. It was chaotic, and flawed, and not technically brilliant. We were rough and ready guys from a rehearsal room, and people recognised it," he said. The music star added: "I didn't invent anything. I had good taste in music, a cool record collection, I could write a melody simple enough to make it work, and it was 50% inspiration and 50% copying."

The controversy erupted when Liam used a racial slur on X, prompting one person to respond with: "Liam, you can't say that." Liam subsequently deleted the tweet and issued an apology for any offence caused, stating: "Sorry if I offended anyone with my tweet before it wasn't intentional you know I love you all and I do not discriminate. As an Asian and as a Chinese person I could not deal with it just by keeping silent and accepting what he was saying. I just can't participate in that anymore. Otherwise it will be disrespectful for my own community where I come from."
