EcoOnline acquires D4H to strengthen crisis management platform
EcoOnline has announced the acquisition of D4H, a provider of crisis management software, in a move aimed at enhancing organisational preparedness for emerging risks. The integration of D4H's platform into EcoOnline's suite will deliver customers a unified crisis readiness and response system, connecting D4H's incident management tools with EcoOnline's existing environmental, health and safety (EHS), chemical safety, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) solutions. D4H is recognised by users on the peer-to-peer review site G2 for its adaptable and collaborative approach to digital crisis management. The company enables organisations across various sectors to manage crises such as environmental incidents, workplace safety events, and other critical disruptions. Industry focus on proactivity The acquisition comes as organisations globally seek solutions that enable proactive crisis readiness rather than simply reacting to incidents as they occur. Companies are increasingly required to navigate complex and unpredictable risks, ranging from climate change-driven emergencies to industrial accidents. A recent report from the World Economic Forum highlights this shift in risk perception, with 54% of surveyed business experts expecting some instability and a moderate risk of global catastrophes within the next two years, and 30% anticipating even more turbulent conditions. As a result, the focus for many organisations has turned from reactive responses to improving anticipation and prevention strategies. "The risks businesses face today are more complex and unpredictable than ever. Whether it's a chemical spill, workplace safety event or an environmental disaster, the need to respond and communicate quickly and decisively is more critical than ever. By embedding D4H's crisis control capabilities into EcoOnline's suite, our goal is to enable organisations to anticipate, prepare for and prevent incidents before they happen," said Tom Goodmanson, CEO of EcoOnline. The connection between D4H and EcoOnline's range of platforms aims to provide users with a 360-degree view of hazards and real-time readiness for all types of critical events. This includes advanced incident intelligence, real-time situational awareness, and automated communications and coordination. The combined offering is positioned to support businesses in improving resilience, minimising operational disruptions, and enhancing the protection of employees, assets and wider communities. Mission alignment D4H's Founder and CEO, Robin Blandford, commented on the alignment of his company's mission with the acquisition. D4H has focused on providing response teams with software designed to make crisis response quicker and easier across industries. "Since founding D4H, our singular mission has been to empower response teams to act quickly and effectively in crises and keep people safe with the easiest-to-use platform on the market. Joining EcoOnline takes that mission to the next level by intelligently connecting emergency management into EcoOnline's impressive suite of health, safety, chemical and ESG reporting capabilities—helping businesses anticipate and prepare for risks, not just react." The collaboration is expected to facilitate better use of data and insights across these areas, supporting the move towards process-driven resilience within organisations. Enhancing operational visibility By broadening both companies' product capabilities, the acquisition seeks to deliver improved operational visibility and control. The newly connected software solutions are designed to equip businesses to address power outages, wildfires, extreme weather, and other threats by enabling teams to anticipate, prepare for, and manage emergencies of varying scales. Industry observers note that integrated systems which support real-time situational awareness and automated coordination are increasingly sought after by organisations managing distributed workforces and critical infrastructure. The addition of crisis response to EcoOnline's offerings is intended to satisfy this demand for greater operational resilience and oversight in the context of modern risk management challenges. EcoOnline and D4H plan to continue supporting their respective customers with the combined suite, which spans EHS, chemical safety, ESG and now crisis readiness and response capabilities.
