The DIY SOS star tied the knot with Katie, who's 27 years his junior, at an Essex stately home last month, before they celebrated their marriage on a £2k a day honeymoon yacht. 6 Nick Knowles' new wife Katie found herself bride-shamed after sharing a video of herself and her husband on their wedding day Credit: tiktok/@katieaknowles 6 She was trying to draw attention to how lovingly Nick was looking at her Credit: tiktok/@katieaknowles 6 But people were more interested in her lack of eye contact, and her "disinterested" look Credit: tiktok/@katieaknowles 6 But Katie hit back at the cruel comments, as she insisted she was just nervous and desperate not to ruin her make-up as she walked down the aisle Credit: Instagram Despite being back at home now, Katie is still enjoying reliving her special day, and took to TikTok to share a video of Nick's emotional reaction to her walking down the aisle. "When he looks at you like this..." she wrote over the top. In the clip, Katie was seen looking stunning in a white dress with unusual blue detailing, as she walked down to meet Nick, who had opted for a powder pink tux for his big day. The 62-year-old appeared overcome with emotion as he greeted Katie at the altar with a kiss. And the pair were then seen waiting to exchange their vows. "Walking up the aisle to the man who said he wouldn't cry… and completely failed," Katie wrote in the caption. However, a lot of comments pointed out that while Nick couldn't stop staring giddily at his soon-to-be wife, Katie seemed to be struggling to make eye contact with her man. "She doesn't look interested," one wrote. "Did she really want to marry him?" another questioned. "I thought the same," a third commented. "Looks like she's ready to go home lol," another added. "She doesn't look at him and looks like she doesn't want to be there," someone else said. "Well you look very unhappy," another insisted. "Yeah I'm getting 'I'm being forced into this' vibes from her," someone else cruelly wrote. "Awww she's the most unhappy bride I've ever seen and I hate that for her if it was just nerves," another said. Wedding makeup do's and dont's Paige Williams, Founder & CEO of the iconic makeup brand shared her tips. DO: Go timeless over trendy We all love a trend babe, but for your wedding day? Let's keep it classic. Think soft glam, radiant skin, neutral tones with a pop of sparkle - You want to look back in ten years and still be obsessed with your glam. Classic never goes out of style. DON'T: Try something totally new Your wedding day is not the time to switch it up with neon liner or completely new brows babe. You want to feel like you, just the most elevated, glowing version. Stick to what you know makes you feel confident and gorgeous. DO: Prioritise long-wear formulas Your wedding is a marathon, not a sprint. You're not just walking down the aisle, you're dancing, hugging, crying, and posing all day long. You need makeup that's in it for the long haul. Go for waterproof, transfer-proof & cry-proof products. Your face needs to slay from 'I do' to the last dance and be able to handle those happy tears. DON'T: Overload your base Babes, less is more. You want coverage, not cake. Go for that breathable, buildable base that lets your real skin glow through. You're aiming for flawless, not flat. Trust me, your photos will thank you. DO: Book a trial Non-negotiable. Whether you're DIY-ing your glam or booking a MUA, a trial is your makeup dress rehearsal. Test it in daylight, take selfies, wear it for hours. It's the only way to know it'll hit just right on the day. DON'T: Forget your neck & chest Don't stop the glam at your jawline, babe. Blend that foundation, bronzer and glow down to your neck and chest, we're going for seamless, snatched and sculpted from every angle. You're the main event, let it show. "It's 10 seconds of video out of an entire 13 hour day meant to be about the way he looks at me," Katie hit back. "I was so nervous, every time I saw him crying I started and I had a full face of make up. "I wanted to stay on my face for more than just the first hour of the day!" "God forbid someone is nervous on their wedding day in front of people," she added in response to another comment, while saying to someone else that she gave "no f**ks" about the criticism. And there were also those in the comments who defended Katie. "I didn't look at my husband either when saying my vows as I didn't want to cry," one wrote. Looks like she wants to go home! TikTok commenter "We've been married for 20 years. I wouldn't read too much into it!" "Ffs folk read so much into things," another added. "If they make each other happy then leave them be. Getting married in front of a room of people and cameras is nerve wracking. "Wishing you guys all the best." "Finally a bride as nervous as I was on my wedding day," a third commented. "Someone came up to me after and said 'you looked so stern'. "It made me so sad because it was one of the happiest moments for me but yes I was nervous and hate being the centre of attention." 6 Their honeymoon on board a yacht set Nick and his wife back £2k a day Credit: nickknowles/Instagram

Nick Knowles, 62, is mocked by bikini-clad wife Katie, 34, for his lack of tech skills as he shares clips from romantic honeymoon on a yacht in Ibiza

Nick Knowles was mocked by his wife Katie for his lack of tech skills as he shared a look at their lavish honeymoon online. The DIY SIS presenter, 62, shared a glimpse into his romantic Ibiza honeymoon with the lingerie business owner, 34, on Instagram on Wednesday as they spent quality time on a yacht. But after uploading a reel filled with snaps and clips from their trip, Katie took to Instagram on Wednesday night to poke fun at the star for making a huge flaw. When cutting together clips for his post, Nick has accidentally left the tags 'TEMPLATE REEL' and 'Add 17 clips' on each slide instead of editing them out. Sharing a screenshot of the tags left on, Katie wrote: 'When @nickknowles does social media by himself [face palm].' Resharing her post, Nick replied: 'Sadly I'm not tech savvy [laughing face].' The presenter exchanged vows with his lingerie brand boss bride during a six-figure wedding at Braxted Park, Essex, earlier this month. And the newlyweds looked happier than ever as they packed on the PDA while posing for loved-up snaps during their special holiday. Katie showed off her amazing figure in a skimpy orange and white floral bikini which boasted a halter neckline and matching tie side bottoms. The couple were seen beaming as Nick, who rocked an open white linen shirt and beige shorts, steered the yacht while 'cruising the sea'. Katie later added a white crochet miniskirt over her two-piece before soaking up the sun on an orange towel. Nick and Katie were spotted on a tender heading into shore before enjoying a boozy lunch on the beach. The DIY SOS star shielded from the hot Spanish sun under a woven western sun hat as he sipped on a glass of wine. He wrote: 'Wonderful time at sea cruising for a while on honeymoon. And yes we paid but think it was so well organised I should mention the crew Carlos & Patricia and the boat hire folks @charteralia Nick and Katie shared a glimpse into their romantic Ibiza honeymoon on Instagram on Wednesday as they spent quality time on a yacht And the newlyweds looked happier than ever as they packed on the PDA while posing for loved-up snaps during their special holiday 'Lunch on Formantera was special but cruising the islands, swimming and sunbathing on a Cat under sail is something special ❤️' Earlier this month, Katie and Nick shared a glimpse into their lavish wedding on social media as they partied into the night. The fun continued into the early hours, as the couple shared a series of sweet photos and clips on Instagram from their happy day. Katie wowed in a stunning second white bridal dress for the reception while Nick looked dapper in a pink blazer. The couple showed off their fun side as they posed in a photo booth wearing costume hats and Katie held a wired telephone. In another clip, the couple danced while Katie jokingly shook her head at her new husband's moves as he whipped off his pink suit jacket flinging it around his head. As guests made their arrival for the nuptials, they were greeted with a cheeky nod to Nick's TV success, as a huge sign boasted the words: 'Welcome to Katie's wedding... ft TV's Nick Knowles.' Earlier in the evening, Katie wore her quirky floral print wedding dress, which she wore for the ceremony, for the couple's first dance and cutting their huge cake. The couple pulled out all the stops for their guests with a live band providing the music whilst a carnival dancer bedecked in feathers took to the floor at one point. The couple began dating in 2021 after they met when their children became friends at a play centre and got engaged in 2023. The couple are said to have spared no expense on their special day, which was reportedly attended by a whole host of celebrity guests, including Nick's Strictly co-stars. Last month, Katie kicked off the wedding celebrations with her hen do at luxury boutique hotel Karma Sanctum, where she was joined by close friends Kirsty Shaw-Rayner and Sherene Fuller. The group arrived on a beer bus and then headed through party district Soho wearing Nick Knowles face masks, much to the amusement of Katie, ahead of partying at Karma Sanctum. Katie was later entertained by two buff men dressed as a fireman and policeman as the party carried on into the early hours. Katie and the TV star have been subject to cruel trolling during their relationship, with critics mocking their age difference and financial setup. The DIY SOS star shielded from the hot Spanish sun under a woven western sun hat as he sipped on a glass of wine Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, about the 'gold digger' jibes, Katie admitted they don't get to her as much as they used to because she and Nick know it's not true. She said: 'I think at the start, it was probably more irritating, especially for my family. But now those comments kind of just pass over me because we both know it's not true. 'Nick works hard, he has what he has. I work hard, I have what I have and then we buy each other stuff.' Katie continued: 'We're both really comfortable with where we are with that and you will always get it because there's an age gap. 'I know plenty of people who are together and the same age where someone's using the other one for money and they're not happy. 'So as long as I know it's not true and he knows it's not true, I think that's, that's pretty much all that matters.' Nick has an estimated £7.5 million net worth but Katie has built up an impressive lingerie brand, having launched Boa Boa in 2022. She has
