Adrija Roy On Anupamaa's TRP Dip: ‘We Are Still Telling A Story With Heart'
Last Updated: In this week's TRP report, Anupamaa held the second position with a rating of 2.0. Anupamaa, starring Rupali Ganguly, Adrija Roy and Shivam Khajuria, continues to be one of Indian television's most popular shows. Though it dominated the TRP charts for a long time, the show has recently slipped to the second spot. The show that now holds the top position is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. In a chat with Pinkvilla, Adrija Roy, who plays Raahi in Anupamaa, opened up about the recent TRP drop. Speaking about the show's performance, she said, 'Honestly, TRPs are such a mystery sometimes. Even when we feel we're giving our best and the story is strong, there can be weeks when the numbers just don't reflect that." She added, 'I think audiences are evolving, and their preferences keep changing. Maybe it's also seasonal, or something new caught their attention temporarily. But I truly believe in our team and the story we're telling—it still has a lot of heart." In this week's TRP report, Anupamaa held the second position with a rating of 2.0. Adrija also shared insights into the upcoming storyline. Currently, the show focuses on the strained relationship between Anupamaa and Raahi. She revealed, 'Raahi and Anupamaa's equation is about to go through some intense emotional shifts. The journey won't be easy, but it will definitely be worth watching. So yes, some big, unexpected turns are coming!" Adrija also recalled a frightening moment on set. On June 23, a massive fire broke out on the sets of Anupamaa. 'That day was really scary. We were all shaken up, but thankfully, no one was hurt, and that's what matters the most," she said. 'The set did suffer quite a bit of damage. But the DKP team acted quickly, and we resumed work with some adjustments. We were all just grateful to be safe and together." Anupamaa premiered on July 13, 2020, and has remained a fan favourite ever since. Alongside Adrija, the show features strong performances by Rupali Ganguly and Shivam Khajuria. Despite the recent dip in ratings, the cast and crew remain positive and committed to delivering a powerful story. No, Hasan Raheem has not tied the knot just yet
We knew it: the groom fit, the cryptic caption, the refusal to let anyone repost the pic, it had music video shenanigans written all over it. And now, in the most Hasan Raheem fashion possible, he's come clean: "I'm still single," he posted on Instagram. Hearts mended. Playlists queued. Back in April, the Joona heartthrob sent fans into a collective meltdown with an Instagram post showing him suited up like a groom, seated next to a woman in bridal wear. "Kept it lowkey, it was a big day," Raheem wrote in the caption. Naturally, Gen-Z went into emotional cardiac arrest, because had Pakistan's crush really gone and soft-launched a wedding? It turns out that the shoot was just a teaser for MEMORIES, the first track from his upcoming album DKP. The song dropped on Friday, and so did our jaws. A groovy Punjabi-English crossover featuring the powerhouse Peechay Hutt royalty Justin Bibis, MEMORIES marks Raheem's first foray into Punjabi vocals. It's moody yet groovy, like crying in the middle of the dance floor while still serving looks. Shehryar Khan's production gives it that slick, urban beat we've come to expect from Raheem's genre-bending, bedroom-pop style. And the video is pure, iconic chaos. Set at a wedding, Raheem (playing groom) is confronted mid-celebration by the ghosts of his ex-girlfriends. What follows is a dramatic, slow-mo showdown that quickly escalates into a stiletto-flinging brawl. The women unite against their shared heartbreak, and Raheem gets the on-screen thrashing of a lifetime. Blood, glitter, bruised egos — it's heartbreak with an RSVP. There's even a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment where someone hurls a cake. It's cinematic mischief at its finest. Online reactions were predictably unhinged. "I knew this was a prank," yelled one fan. "Bro, you played with my heart," wept another. Actor Osman Khalid Butt took a jab at Raheem's trademark messy hair, commenting, "I knew the news couldn't be real when I saw your unwashed hair." Anoushey Ashraf simply declared, "Good job!" Long before the wedding-day chaos of MEMORIES, Raheem was winning hearts with his tender, unplugged performances. Back in February, he shared a stripped-down version of Obvious on Instagram, enchanting fans with his warm, soulful vocals and intimate lyricism. With DKP on the horizon, it's safe to say Raheem's just getting started.

Exclusive - Shiwani Chakraborthy opens up on shooting for Anupamaa and why she loves it
Actress Shiwani Chakraborthy , who is currently seen in Anupamaa , says that while shoots can get hectic, she feels blessed to have got good work. The actress adds that she loves her job, and waits to go on the set every day. 'As we all know how hectic it's been shooting daily 12/13 hours, but despite that tiredness, I always feel if I'm working, I'm blessed. As after COVID, every field has slowed down, people are not getting work. The only motivation I get is — come on Shiwani, God has given you work, you are blessed — and that makes it easy to go to set daily, whether it is monotonous or hectic. And also, I'm a workaholic person. I love holidays though, but after 2/3 days it's like ohh I'm missing my set,' she says. Shooting with like-minded people also has its perks, says the actress, adding, 'People with the same thinking, or say when you match vibes with them, it helps a lot in your performance too. Because after all, we stay more on set than home. So people with a good and healthy mindset are very important for your good work.' She adds, 'Good chemistry with your co-actors is an important part of shoots. I believe it's always give and take when it comes to performing, and if you and your co-actors have a good bond off-set, on-set it's visible in the scenes. You need someone to boost you or correct you. The actors with no jealousy and insecurity have the best chemistry ever, and I'm lucky to have such friends and actors around me — all are super talented and good souls. ' Working with Rajan Shahi is a dream come true, she says, adding, 'This is my first show with DKP, but I found this is an institution where you have to maintain discipline and focus on your work — which I think is very important for all the actors. They are always available for you if you need anything. If you want to communicate, they are a call away. And when you feel a home-like atmosphere in your workplace, automatically your performance speaks. ' Meanwhile, she also adds that she loves being part of TV. 'TV is always first. It's the audience's choice and views. Though people are now having many platforms, still we have TV audiences in good numbers. Because people from different places — cities, small towns, metro — all have their means of entertainment as TV. And so, TV has to be people's go-to comfort. Makers always try to keep their audience happy with the storyline or say whatever way to keep audiences hooked up with the show,' she says. ' She adds, 'TV shows are evolving and it will keep on growing. Our viewers are also evolving with time. So now makers are trying to change the patterns and also story so that viewers do not get bored. Because nowadays people want more natural things to watch. So yes, change is good for growth.'
