Drink-driver was banned when he refused to stop for police after crash
A DRINK driver who had been banned from getting behind the wheel was caught despite refusing to stop for police after a crash.
Callum Darch, 26, from Hampshire, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates' Court charged with six motoring offences.
Darch was accused of getting behind the wheel of a Peugeot 3008 on the B4341 at Broad Haven on June 22.
It was alleged that he was disqualified from driving at the time, meaning he would have also been uninsured.
Darch was also accused of crashing on the B4341, but then driving off.
He was further charged with failing to stop when required by a police officer, and dangerous driving along Haroldston Hill.
When breathalysed, he recorded having 54 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Darch, of St Blaize Road in Romsey, pleaded guilty to all charges on June 24.
The magistrates declined jurisdiction of the case, and sent it on to Swansea Crown Court.
Darch will appear for sentence on July 15 and was granted bail until that date.
