Police yet to identify those behind bomb hoax incidents
T'puram: Hoax bomb threats continue to target govt offices, hotels and other busy zones in the state capital. Four more such threats were received last week. This year so far over 20 such hoax threats were received, and the probe team is clueless about the culprits. The latest threats were received from Outlook IDs targeting the UAE Consulate, Cliff House, police headquarters and a DTDC hotel. A threat was received at KTDC Grand Chaithram on June 2 from a mail ID sameerakbar@ claiming that a blast would happen there soon. On June 5 another threat was received on the official mail ID of the DGP, asking to evacuate all from the police headquarters as there would be a blast at 3:15pm. On June 6, two hoax threats were received on the official mail ID of revenue minister K Rajan stating that there would be blasts at the Cliff House at 3:15pm and at the UAE Consulate at 5:15pm. The threats were received from the mail ID daudeeshankarjiwal@ City cyber police registered three more cases under BNS Section 351 (1) (b) for criminal intimidation, Kerala Police Act sections 118 (b) for knowingly spreading rumours or giving false alarms to mislead police, fire brigade, or any other essential service and 120 (o) for causing nuisance or violating public order and also under Information Technology Act-2000 sections 43 and 66. "I assumed charge only on Monday, and I am yet to go through the details," said Prakash KS, the assistant commissioner of the city cybercrime police station. Kannappa film hard drive goes missing in Hyderabad, 2 suspects abscond
A hard drive containing key content from the upcoming film 'Kannappa', starring Vishnu Manchu, has reportedly gone missing in Hyderabad. According to police, two individuals are suspected of absconding with the drive, which was being transported via HIVE Studios had dispatched the hard drive containing he most important content of 'Kannappa' movie to post-production house Four Frames, located in Film Nagar, through DTDC courier services. The parcel was received on May 25 by an office boy named Raghu, who reportedly handed it over to a woman identified as the handover, both Raghu and Charita have been absconding, which led Four Frames to lodge a complaint with the police. The company alleged that there may be a deliberate attempt to damage their movie, and has requested action against those involved. A case has been registered at the Film Nagar Police Station, and an investigation is currently underway to locate the missing individuals and recover the hard drive.'Kannappa', which has already generated buzz due to its star cast and high production values, is now at the centre of a serious security breach. The production team is yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.

Hard disk containing 'unreleased data' of Kannappa stolen weeks before release; Vishnu Manchu prays at Jharkhand temple
Just a month ahead of its release, a hard disk containing valuable footage from the Vishnu Manchu-starrer Kannappa was reportedly stolen. As per a report by the incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Film Nagar Police Station in Hyderabad. (Also Read | Kannappa new release date: Here's when Vishnu Manchu's film with Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal will be released) Reportedly, a VFX vendor from Mumbai (Hive Studios) sent the hard disk to the office of Twenty Four Frames Factory Private Limited in Filmnagar through DTDC courier. According to DTDC delivery records, the parcel reached the office on Sunday (May 25). A staff member, Raghu, handed the courier to a woman named Charitha. However, Charitha has been absconding since she took the hard disk. Reddy Vijaykumar of Twenty Four Frames Factory Private Limited has filed a complaint with the Film Nagar Police, alleging that Charitha disappeared with the intention of damaging the project. Reddy said that this incident has caused a serious disruption to their film project. Reportedly, the hard disk contains unreleased, confidential and highly sensitive data related to Kannappa. Reddy stated in the complaint that his company would suffer irreparable financial loss if this content were leaked or deleted. He requested that the hard disk be recovered and handed over to him immediately. Amid this unfortunate incident, Vishnu visited a temple in Jharkhand's Deoghar. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Vishnu shared a picture collage from his temple visit. The words from the photo read, Visited Shree Baba Baidyanath Jyotirlinga - a divine moment at one of Shiva's holiest abodes. Har Har Mahadev." He captioned it, "#HarHarMahadev #Kannappa." Kannappa, a mythological epic, narrates the story of the titular legendary devotee of Lord Shiva. It was earlier slated to hit the big screen on April 25 but will now release on June 27. Kannappa also stars Mohanlal, Prabhas, and Kajal Aggarwal, along with Akshay Kumar in his Telugu cinema debut. The team of Kannappa, including Vishnu, actor-producer Mohan Babu, Prabhu Deva, and executive producer Vinay Maheshwari, met Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath recently and showed a glimpse of the film's making to him.
