Female Columbus Teacher Busted While Engaging in Sexual Acts with 15-Year-Old Student in Her Car
A former teacher at a Columbus high school was indicted on charges of sexual battery after allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a 15-year-old student. A grand jury indicted 27-year-old Jamelah Daboubi on two counts of sexual battery, according to a release from Franklin County Prosecutor Shayla Favor's office. Student's Aunt Caught Daboubi and the Teen Having Sex in Her Car Daboubi was a former English teacher at Horizon Science Academy Columbus High, located on Morse Road. On April 2, police were called to a woman's home, located on Salado Creek Drive on the city's northeast side. The woman said she caught her 15-year-old nephew, who she had guardianship over, and one of his 10th grade teachers engaged in sexual contact in the teacher's car, the release states. Victim Told Cops He and Daboubi Had a Sexual Relationship that Involved Kissing and Touching The teenager admitted to police that he and his teacher had been having a relationship that involved kissing and touching, according to the prosecutor's office. The following day, an interview revealed that the teen and Daboubi had been texting for a couple of months and engaging in sexual activity for a period of time, the prosecutor's office said. Police obtained the boy's phone and found hundreds of phone calls and thousands of texts between him and Daboubi. Daboubi has since been fired from her teaching position at the school, according to the prosecutor's is scheduled to be arraigned at 1 p.m. on July 11.

An English teacher in Ohio is facing charges after an alleged inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student last week, according to our media partner WBNS-10 TV. Court documents show that Daboubi is accused of kissing, sitting on the student's lap, and letting him inappropriately touch her, according to WBNS-10 TV. The person walked up to the car and reportedly saw the teacher jump off the teenager's lap, WBNS-10 reported. The student reportedly admitted to police that he had an inappropriate relationship with Daboubi, and they allegedly kissed in the car, according to court records. Text messages processed by authorities reportedly show that the woman and teenager had an inappropriate relationship. WBNS-10 obtained a letter from school administrators that was sent out to the community about the incident. It refers to Daboubi as a 'now-former staff member.' 'The school took swift and appropriate action by placing the individual on administrative leave. As of now, the individual is no longer employed at Horizon Science Academy Columbus High School,' the school wrote in the letter. According to WBNS-10, the school said there is nothing to indicate Daboubi had a relationship with any other students. 'We recognize that situations like this can be upsetting. We encourage our school community to avoid speculation or the spread of rumors, as doing so can cause unnecessary worry and harm. Please be assured that we are doing everything within our authority to protect our students, support those affected and uphold the safety and integrity of our learning environment,' the school said. Mother finds son in car with ex-Columbus charter teacher, leads to sexual battery charge
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A former teacher with a north Columbus charter school faces sexual battery charges after she was reportedly found with a student inside her vehicle. According to a police complaint report, the mother of a 15-year-old boy was unable to locate her son and noticed that his teacher's car was parked in front of her residence. Upon approaching the car, the mother told police she witnessed a woman, a teacher from Horizon Science Academy, jump off the lap of her son, who was seated on the front passenger side of the vehicle. The incident occurred during the school's spring break on April 2 at around 8 p.m. The victim was taken to The Center for Family Safety and Healing where he participated in a forensic interview in which he relayed similar information that he told police. Police processed the boy's cell phone, where text messages were found between him and Daboubi that supported the alleged inappropriate relationship. Daboubi was arrested Sunday and on Monday a Franklin County Municipal Court judge issued her a $15,000 bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 28. A statement from the school said Daboubi was immediately placed on administrative leave and is now no longer employed at Horizon Science Academy and that it is fully cooperating with the investigation.
