Generate Key Takeaways The Marvel multiverse may never be the same again after Dafne Keen, yes, that Dafne Keen, the razor-clawed breakout star of Logan and The Acolyte's mysterious Lyra, made a jaw-dropping appearance at the world premiere of Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Held at the iconic Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and streamed live to Disney+ subscribers worldwide, the blue carpet affair was already stacked with A-list superstars, comic book legends, and surprise cameos. But one woman managed to steal the entire show without uttering a word. Just one look. One smolder. One power pose. And Twitter lost its damn mind. 'God, She's Such a Baddie': Social Media Erupts Over Dafne Keen's Arrival From the moment Keen stepped onto the carpet, styled in a sleek, fitted midnight-blue ensemble that played off Marvel's signature cosmic palette, the internet went into full meltdown mode. X (formerly Twitter) users wasted no time unleashing a tidal wave of reactions ranging from awestruck admiration to absurdly thirsty confessionals. 'God she's such a baddie,' one user tweeted, capturing the mood of the masses. 'Could stab me a million times with those claws and I wouldn't even be mad,' another posted. 'How do people even date someone this fine? I would literally pass out every time I see her,' another tweet read, blurring the line between humor and hysteria. (Photo byfor Disney) One fan couldn't resist connecting the dots between her presence and possible future Marvel appearances: 'WAIT… does this mean X-23 is coming back soon???' And while many fans took the opportunity to simply admire, others expressed frustration over how Keen's recent work hadn't given her the spotlight she clearly deserves. 'This makes me hate The Acolyte even more. You hid… THAT, with make-up!' 'Can we give her a movie that doesn't suck shit?' 'Kevin [Feige], bring her back and keep her as X-23 permanently and my life is yours.' (Photo byfor Disney) The most savage redemption arc? 'I want to formally apologize to Dafne Keen for saying she looked like Ben Shapiro in some Acolyte promos. That was clearly Disney's fault.' From Lyra Silvertongue to Marvel Showstopper: Dafne Keen's Cinematic Journey At just 20 years old, Keen has become a genre mainstay, first tearing into audiences' hearts (and throats) as the feral Laura/X-23 in Logan (2017), before headlining HBO's His Dark Materials as Lyra Silvertongue. Most recently, she played Jecki Lon in The Acolyte, a role that divided fans not because of her performance, but due to the show's inconsistent reception. Her presence at the Fantastic Four premiere, where she was not listed on the official cast, immediately fueled speculation. Is Keen reprising her role as X-23 in the MCU? Is she joining a Young Avengers lineup? Will she claw her way into the Deadpool & Wolverine multiverse madness? Marvel fans are starving, and Keen might just be the secret weapon Kevin Feige plans to unleash next. Star-Studded Night With a Hint of the Cosmic More than 3,000 attendees gathered for the cinematic spectacle, which celebrated the highly anticipated launch of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Marvel's First Family was out in full force: Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm) all dazzled the crowd, alongside key supporting cast members Ralph Ineson (Galactus), Julia Garner (Silver Surfer), Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles. Composer Michael Giacchino led a surprise live orchestral performance of the film's musical suite, stunning both guests and online viewers alike. It was the first time a Disney+ livestream gave subscribers exclusive red-carpet access to a Marvel world premiere. Also spotted on the carpet were Dave Bautista, Simu Liu, Xochitl Gomez, Regan Aliyah, Skai Jackson, and Trevor Jackson. Is Dafne Keen in The Fantastic Four: First Steps? MCU Film Spotting Rumors Swirl as Actress Attends LA Premiere
Dafne Keen turned heads at the world premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, held on July 21 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. The actress, best known for her breakout role as Laura Kinney in Logan, sparked curiosity as she walked the blue carpet. Her presence raised one big question: Is she part of the new Fantastic Four movie? While Keen is not officially listed in the cast, her presence at the high-profile event has fans buzzing. According to Deadline, she arrived in a sleek black dress, standing out among the blue-themed attire, and joined several confirmed Marvel stars, adding to the speculation. Not on the cast list but still in the spotlight Currently, Dafne Keen is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and appears in Deadpool & Wolverine as X-23. Although her name hasn't been confirmed as part of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, her appearance at the premiere has raised questions about a potential cameo or future involvement in the franchise. Keen's character, Laura Kinney, has long been rumored to return in future Marvel projects. Given the MCU's growing multiverse storyline and the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, some viewers believe her presence might be linked to a surprise cameo or setup for future crossover films. Adding fuel to the speculation, early reports suggest that one of the film's post-credit scenes sets up the foundation for the next Avengers team, potentially opening the door for young heroes like X-23 to step in. While nothing is confirmed yet, Keen's presence at the premiere has only heightened anticipation for what comes next in the MCU timeline. Still, no official confirmation has been given. Marvel Studios has kept plot details of The Fantastic Four: First Steps under wraps ahead of its July 24 release. Who else was at the premiere? In addition to Dafne Keen, several big names attended the premiere. The confirmed cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps includes: Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic Vanessa Kirby as Susan Storm / The Invisible Woman Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm / The Human Torch Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm / The Thing Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal / The Silver Surfer Ralph Ineson as Galactus Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, and Sarah Niles in supporting roles Former Fantastic Four stars Doug Jones, Ioan Gruffudd, and Rebecca Staab were also present, along with celebrities like Simu Liu, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Dave Bautista. Manny Jacinto Reveals a 'Brutal' Deleted Scene From THE ACOLYTE That Showed His Sith's True Darkness — GeekTyrant
At Denver Fan Expo, The Acolyte star Manny Jacinto revealed that one particularly intense moment showcasing his character's viciousness didn't make the final cut. Jacinto played Qimir, a seemingly chill, wine-sipping rogue who's ultimately revealed to be a deadly Sith assassin known as The Stranger. While he already gets his hands bloody in Episode 5, there was originally a scene that pushed his brutality even further. Jacinto said, via Screen Rant: 'Star Wars has always been PG, but you want to find some brutal aspects of these fights… There was one moment, I think, where I just take one Jedi and keep slamming his head on to a rock, because we wanted to show how brutal this guy could be, without any remorse,' That's a level of violence we've rarely see in Star Wars . The moment likely would've been part of the episode where he cuts down a squad of Jedi who corner him in the jungle. Even without the extra head-smashing, that lightsaber brawl was already one of the most vicious in the frnachise. While The Acolyte drew plenty of conversation online, it ultimately struggled with viewership, despite being Disney+'s second most-watched series of the year. The show was canceled after just one season, which pissed a lot of fans off. The cast included Amandla Stenberg in a dual role as Osha and Mae, Dafne Keen as Padawan Jecki, Charlie Barnett as Jedi Yord, Carrie-Anne Moss as Master Indara, and Lee Jung-jae as Master Sol. Rebecca Henderson and Jodie Turner-Smith also played key roles, with Leslye Headland ( Russian Doll ) creating the series. According to cinematographer Chris Teague, the team stayed grounded in Lucas's vision during production: "Leslye would always say, 'What would George do? What would George think?' And that was our guiding principle." As for what's next in the galaxy far, far away, The Mandalorian & Grogu is heading to theaters next May, and Ahsoka Season 2 is also expected to drop sometime in 2026.
