Tom Cruise attends Oasis concert years after band called him a ‘midget'; girlfriend Ana de Armas slammed for liking post attacking his ex Nicole Kidman

Tom Cruise and girlfriend Ana de Armas's relationship is going strong, and the couple were recently seen at an Oasis concert at London's Wembley Stadium. While it isn't unusual for celebrity couples to attend concerts together, Cruise enjoying an Oasis concert came as a surprise to fans — especially since the actor was mocked years ago by the band's members, Liam and Noel Gallagher, over his height and acting skills. Music producer and DJ Goldie, who also attended the concert, shared videos from the event in which Tom and Ana can be seen clapping their hands and grooving to the beats. His Instagram post also shows Tom smiling with him for a selfie. Take a look: A post shared by GOLDIE M.B.E (@mrgoldie) Back in 2007, Liam and Noel ridiculed Tom Cruise in their documentary Lord Don't Slow Me Down. They called him names like 'f–king midget' and 'b——d.' Noel can be heard saying in the documentary, 'He's (Tom Cruise) a little f–ker, and he's not been in one good film his entire career.' Liam added, 'I f–king hate Tom Cruise.' It is also reported that Tom Cruise, in 2009, confronted Liam in Berlin while he was doing a press tour for his film. 'For the first time in his life, Liam was lost for words. Tom did a double-take as they passed each other and went back to say hello,' the British outlet Daily Star had reported. Meanwhile, Ana de Armas is facing backlash for liking a nasty Instagram post that mocks Tom Cruise's ex-wife Nicole Kidman's appearance. The post was shared by Instagram handle @/celebmess, which mocked Nicole Kidman for claiming to not have gone under the knife and being 'proud' of being 'completely natural.' The post shared Nicole's old interview along with a meme that sarcastically said, 'Sure, Jan.' A post shared by Celeb Mess (@celebmess) A fan commented on the post, 'Why did Ana de Armas like this?' while another said, 'Tom Cruise is NK's ex-husband, but from 20 years ago. So it is nuts she cares.' Another comment read, 'That's kind of nasty actually.' Tom Cruise, 63, and Ana de Armas, 37, haven't made their relationship official, but they are often spotted spending time together. The rumours of their romance first began in February this year.

Tom Cruise boldly shows up at Oasis concert despite infamous diss by band members

Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas were spotted among a sea of fans at the latest Oasis concert. Cruise, 63, and his upcoming "Deeper" co-star, 37, caught the Gallagher brothers performing at London's Wembley Stadium on Friday, July 25. English producer DJ Goldie snapped a selfie with Cruise at the show, nearly 20 years after the band mocked the "Mission: Impossible" actor. Noel and Liam Gallagher embarked on a comeback tour earlier this month — a series of concerts marking the first time Oasis has performed together since the band broke up in 2009. Cruise appeared to be loving every second of the performance as he smiled with the British DJ in a snap shared on Instagram. His attendance proved there was no ill-will between the trio, more than 18 years after Liam and Noel mocked the "Top Gun: Maverick" star. In an excerpt from the band's 2007 documentary, "Lord Don't Slow Me Down," Liam and Noel admitted they weren't fans of Cruise. "Tom Cruise is a f****** midget," Noel said, before continuing on, "He's a little f*****, and he's not been in one good film his entire career." "'Cocktail' is great," Liam said about Tom's classic 1988 romantic comedy, which also starred Elizabeth Shue. Still, Liam asserted, "I hate Tom Cruise." While some of the band argued that "Eyes Wide Shut" was a good Cruise film, Liam stood firm in his disdain. "I hate Tom Cruise. Him and [then–pro soccer player] Michael Owen," he said. Shortly after the Cruise cursing was released, the "Jerry Maguire" actor reportedly confronted Liam at a hotel in Berlin. While Cruise was in town to promote "Valkyrie," the Daily Star reported that Tom and Liam "made polite conversation" regarding Gallagher's disapproval. Cruise allegedly reminded the "Champagne Supernova" singer that he was still a fan of "Cocktail." The reported rift was far from his mind, though, this week as romance rumors continued to swirl between De Armas and Cruise. The pair — who will soon begin filming the supernatural thriller "Deeper" — sparked dating rumors earlier this year when they were spotted together in London. They've since been seen together several times, including on her birthday in April and at David Beckham's birthday party in May. De Armas admitted that it was "surreal" to hear kind words about her work from Cruise, ahead of their new film. "It's very special," de Armas told Access Hollywood in May when asked about him raving about her role in the film. "It's very surreal that an actor like him, like someone like him, likes the movie and my performance and my work, and we're working together now so, yeah, it's pretty, it's really amazing." In a photo and video captured by a bystander and shared on X of the April birthday stroll, Cruise walked next to de Armas with his hands behind his back and was holding what appeared to be an olive green dog leash with a pouch. The pair were accompanied by another woman as well as security guards. The day before de Armas' birthday, the "Ballerina" actress was photographed with Cruise as they disembarked a helicopter that was flown by the "Minority Report" star. On Feb. 13, the two were pictured walking through London's Soho neighborhood as de Armas carried what appeared to be takeout bags of food from a restaurant. They stopped for photos with fans before leaving in a taxi together. Originally published as Tom Cruise boldly shows up at Oasis concert despite infamous diss by band members

Peter Andre bags huge new role and plans TV return after Jafaican backlash

Mysterious Girl hitmaker Peter Andre has landed a brand new TV drama role as he has started filming already following backlash for his Jafaican film earlier this year Peter Andre has received a boost after the backlash from his latest film project as he has landed a new TV show. The Mysterious Girl hitmaker is set to appear in his very first drama role. ‌ He has been hit with criticisms over his latest movie, Jafaican, in which he stars as a faux gangster. Peter took centre stage in Fredi Nwaka's latest comedy romp – playing hustler Gary Buckle who tries to be mob boss Denton 'Kill Man' Powell donning a fake dreadlock wig and putting on a Jamaican accent. ‌ The flick has been marred by accusations of cultural appropriation and being labelled "tone-deaf" by some viewers. At the time, Peter brushed off critics and has already moved onto a new project. ‌ He will appear in Channel 5's new programme The Sunshine Murders, which also stars Stephanie Beacham, Camilla Rutherford and Nick Moran. It is due to air in September and the murder mystery sees Peter take on a starring role. The TV star is set to take on a serious position on the show as he dons a white doctor's coat and clinical rubber gloves to examine victims of gruesome murders. He returned to his parent's homeland of Cyprus to shoot the series, with son Junior heading out to support him. ‌ It comes after Peter defended his stint in Jafaican as he said: "I think it's very easy to criticise something based on a trailer. I would say 'Go and watch the film first,' you will see what the film is about and you will see the context." He continued to tell the Daily Star: "A critic should also be able to criticise, so I understand how it is." Peter also acknowledged that the film wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. ‌ In defence of his work, Peter commented: "In regards to critics, I think it is really important for people to all have different opinions. "I don't think it is right to just expect everyone to like what you're doing, but I've always said that, you know, in anything I've ever done I've always had people saying: 'Don't do that, you shouldn't do that, that's not the right song to release, that's not a good video clip." He went on to insist: "If I sat and listened to everybody telling me what not to do, I would never have achieved anything! I think sometimes you have to just go outside of your comfort zone and push yourself." Peter's eldest children Princess and Junior have been by his side at a recent a red carpet screening for the film. While promoting the movie on Australian TV earlier in the month, Peter said of the criticism: "Well, to be fair, I mean, I think it's good to get all sorts of feedback. "I mean, this is not... it's my first lead role but I've done quite a few roles before. And all of them, I've played different characters."

UK McDonald's rolls out 'adult only' zone as kids banned five days a week

A dedicated 'adults only' zone has been set up at the McDonald's in Whitefield, Greater Manchester, to allow remote workers and businesses to use the restaurant without kids present A McDonald's in Whitefield, Greater Manchester, has stirred up a storm by introducing an adults-only zone within its premises. The fast-food giant has sectioned off a part of the restaurant and put up a sign forbidding under 16s from entering, stating they will be asked to leave if they do not comply. ‌ This unprecedented move aims to create a kid-free haven for remote workers and businesses, especially now that school's out for summer. From Monday to Friday, customers can munch on their Big Macs undisturbed, with certain areas earmarked for business meetings. The notice clearly states: "On weekdays this area is reserved for business/laptop users and adults over 16. ‌ "If you are lucky enough to look under 16, we reserve the right to ask you to use an alternative area of the restaurant. If you would like to reserve this area for a group business meeting, please let us know in advance. ‌ "Although not guaranteed we will try our best to accommodate your request. Please ask for the shift manager." Since August 2019, the sign has been in place, and McDonald's confirms that while the Whitefield branch boasts 132 seats, the designated work-friendly zone comprises just 18 seats, leaving plenty of space for families and children, who also have access to an outdoor play area. McDonald's franchise owner Simon Toft, who operates the Whitefield branch, has made it clear that customer satisfaction is paramount. "Customer experience in my restaurant is incredibly important to me, and my team and I work hard to make sure everyone has a great time when visiting Whitefield McDonald's." ‌ In response to what patrons wanted, they've now set up a special Business Area available on weekdays for those 16 and older seeking a peaceful place to work or study, reports the Daily Star. "After listening to customer feedback, we've introduced a dedicated Business Area on weekdays for anyone aged 16 and over who wants a quieter space to work or study." Mr Toft emphasises the inclusive nature of the restaurant, catering to all needs from family fun to quiet concentration. "We want the restaurant to be a space that works for everyone, whether you're bringing the kids to enjoy the Play Place or looking for a calm spot to focus, we're proud to offer spaces that suit everyone as part of our commitment to being a good neighbour in our community." ‌ This follows a similar initiative at the Corstorphine Retail Park McDonald's in Edinburgh earlier this year, where they restricted access to under-16s after 5pm without adult supervision to tackle "anti-social behaviour,". The decision sparked mixed reactions among locals. One person voiced their disagreement online: "I don't agree with that, my son is 14 and is a great kid and regularly goes for food with his friends, sometimes after 5pm." They argued that it was unfair for well-behaved children to suffer because of a few troublemakers: "It's not fair that all kids have to miss out due to the behaviour of a minority." Another critic labelled the move as a typical overreaction: "Standard UK response to trouble. Blanket ban instead of actually addressing the problem." Yet, there were those who supported the measure, with one commenter suggesting it should be a widespread policy: "Should be extended everywhere." Another concurred with the decision: "Many should follow your decision."
