New series of Grand Designs: House of the Year announced
The four-part series will be broadcast on Channel 4 this autumn, following a new series of Grand Designs, and will see McCloud present the programme alongside architects Damion Burrows and Natasha Huq. In each episode, viewers will visit the homes on the prestigious Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) shortlist, with the final episode unveiling the winner of the RIBA House of the Year 2025. McCloud said: 'This series celebrates, as ever, a sparkling range of what's possible in domestic architecture today. 'So, it's a great privilege to be able to help uncover these gems of creative imagination and of course it's a complete joy to be back presenting House of the Year alongside Natasha and Damion.' Huq said: 'These aren't just impressive homes, they challenge how we think about space, materials and the care of our resources. 'There is something deeply inspiring about the way architecture can quietly transform how we think about the world and our place within it, and I am excited to share that with viewers again this year.' McCloud has presented the original Grand Designs show since its inception in 1999, with the programme marking its 25th anniversary last September.

Fans will be happy to know that Channel 4 's Grand Designs: House Of The Year will be back with another series. The upcoming four-part series will air on the popular channel following a new series of Grand Designs this Autumn. And Kevin McCloud, Damion Burrows and Natasha Huq will host the show. Viewers are expected to see some of the 'finest contemporary homes', which are all on the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) shortlist, and the winner will be revealed during the final episode. Presenter Kevin said: 'This series celebrates, as ever, a sparkling range of what's possible in domestic architecture today. 'So, it's a great privilege to be able to help uncover these gems of creative imagination and of course it's a complete joy to be back presenting House Of The Year alongside Natasha and Damion.' While Damion added: 'I am thrilled to be back on the road with House Of The Year. 'This series never fails to amaze me, from jaw-dropping designs to the personal stories behind the builds. Grand Designs: House of the Year has been commissioned by Ian Dunkley. The legendary property show first hit our screens in 2015 and has gone on to have seven successful series. IMDB's official synopsis reads: 'Every year the Royal Institute of British Architects looks for the best new home in Britain, and this time Grand Designs is along for the ride.' The show is a spin-off of Grand Designs. The programme first hit our screens on Channel 4 in 1999. There has been 159 series across 22 series over the years. The show is presented by Kevin McCloud. 'Kevin McCloud follows people as they build their dream house, often focusing on modern design, energy efficiency, maximizing space and views,' IMDB's synopsis reads. Back in May Grand Designs presenter Kevin revealed the fate of one of the show's most ambitious projects. Kevin revisited Elinor and Born Barikor in Richmond, south west London, after they appeared on the show seven years ago to build an allergy-proof 'healthy house' to help their sons avoid potentially fatal attacks and reactions. The couple share three children - Avery, then aged seven, Pascal, five and a daughter Blakely, aged three. The boys have severe, potentially life threatening allergies to dairy, wheat, egg, gluten, soya, oats, pulses, beans and fruits, and nuts, as well as dust, pollen and animal fur. 'The house has probably helped a lot, it's helped with my asthma and so I'm capable of doing sports,' Pascal said.
