Nikki Bella says son didn't know men could be wrestlers. ‘My own little feminist'

Nikki Bella is raising her own 'little feminist.' The 41-year-old professional wrestler shares one son, Matteo, with her ex-husband and former 'Dancing with the Stars' pro Artem Chigvintsev, whom she was married to from 2022 to 2024. The couple welcomed Matteo on July 31, 2020, according to People. During a July 9 appearance on the 'Today' show, Bella was asked how being a mother has affected her wrestling as she makes her return to the WWE six years after announcing her retirement. 'As he's gotten older, I'm like, 'Awh, one day I just want Matteo to be ringside watching his mom do what she does and what she did for a majority of her life,' she told the 'Today' crew. 'So, now I'm getting that opportunity,' she added. Bella went on to discuss how being a female in a male-dominated sport has affected her son's view of wrestling and wrestlers. 'I feel like we're in this day now where these little boys get to be raised up seeing their moms be career women (and) be, like, really strong women — empowering women,' she explains. 'He gets to see that up close and personal,' she said of Matteo. 'It's like raising my own little feminist.' Bella later joked that her son didn't even know male wrestlers existed until he saw one. 'He literally thought wrestlers were only female wrestlers. When I showed him some of the men, he was like, 'Those aren't wrestlers!' Bella said on the 'Today' show. With her return to the ring looming, Bella (born Nikki Garcia) is looking forward to having 'one more moment' to shine. On July 7, the Hall of Famer announced that she'll be competing in WWE Evolution at State Farm Arena — the WWE's second-ever all-female premium live event — in Atlanta on Sunday, July 13. The announcement came in a promo during the WWE's July 7 episode of 'Monday Night Raw.' 'I want one more moment to prove to the fans, my Bella Army, of what I can do,' she said in the promo. 'I want one more moment to show my son what the WWE universe has seen.' Her return comes roughly 17 years after she made her WWE debut alongside her twin sister, Brie Garcia (known collectively as the Bella Twins), on SmackDown. The twins announced their retirement in 2019 after their contracts with WWE came to an end. Brie Bella was the first of the twins to be named a WWE Divas Champion in 2011, while Nikki Bella won it in 2012 and 2014. Both sisters were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021.

Brooks Nader wins praise for handling period stain at Wimbledon with confidence; fans cheer her ‘honesty'

American model Brooks Nader isn't trying to be perfect, and that's exactly why so many people are praising her. While at Wimbledon in a flowing white skirt, Brooks Nader was caught off guard when she unexpectedly got her period. Instead of brushing it off, she shared the incident on TikTok with a dose of humour and confidence. 'Tries to be chic. Starts period at Wimbledon,' she wrote in the caption, spinning around to reveal the stain on her skirt. According to Page Six, Brooks Nader's video went viral. People flooded the comments with messages of support, calling her 'real' and 'refreshingly honest.' 'You're so real for this,' one follower wrote. 'This literally happened to me last week,' said another. One user summed it up: 'Thank you for normalising what we go through.' Recently, at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding, Nader reportedly bumped into Tom Brady. According to Page Six, the two were seen chatting and laughing during the evening, which only reignited talk about their rumoured past. Page Six informed that Nader and Brady were first linked last summer after meeting at a private party in the Hamptons. Since then, they have turned up at a few of the same high-profile events – including the F1 Grand Prix in Miami – adding fuel to the speculation. For now, Nader is single. She and her 'Dancing with the Stars' partner, Gleb Savchenko, split earlier this year. As for Brady, he skipped Wimbledon entirely – he was last seen yachting off the coast of Ibiza. But even without the NFL star, Nader managed to steal the spotlight. Not by making a fashion statement - but by showing what real life looks like. And fans loved her even more for it. She got her period unexpectedly during the tournament and shared the moment on TikTok. They have been spotted at several events together, but haven't confirmed a relationship. They were seen chatting at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding in Venice.

Julianne Hough speaks about her decision 'to freeze my eggs', endometriosis diagnosis, other challenges

Washington DC [US], July 6 (ANI): Dancer and singer Julianne Hough, who joined 'Dancing with the Stars' as a professional dancer when she was 18, talked about freezing her eggs for the third time and her endometriosis diagnosis in 2008, reported People. Hough's decision to undergo her most recent egg-freezing process, her third total, is related a lot to freeing herself from the "psychological fear". She decided to share her egg-freezing journey on social media in early June. "I wasn't showing it to be like, 'I'm going to make a big statement,' but with the response I got, I realized how important it was," she said, adding, "I found out I have endometriosis when I was 19 or 20, and I wish back then I would've been told to freeze my eggs, but I wasn't told until later on, reported People. Apart from her endometriosis, "I have some other health implications that might make conceiving challenging, and I got a divorce, and now I'm in a different stage of life," she said. "For me, it's never been about 'I'm not ready,' but I know it is for some people. I think the time will be right when it's right," as per the outlet. Since undergoing the egg-freezing process for the first time, Hough has noticed her growth. "It ain't easy when you're doing the shots, but I will say this time around, I had a much better understanding of what I needed," she says. "Also, the first time I did it, I didn't do the shots myself. I went in every day, and they did them for me. Then I was like, 'Wait, I feel empowered doing them myself.' Along the way, I was able to call friends who have gone through it at any moment and be like, 'Hey, I feel crazy right now. Can you just come over and sit next to me?" reported People. Hough started dancing competitively at the age of 9, and she became a household name after winning her first season of DWTS. She rose to fame while also overcoming challenges, including her endometriosis diagnosis in 2008 and a public split from her ex-husband, Brooks Laich, in 2020. "Every moment that I've gone through, whether it be painful mistakes, self-sabotaging, or being brave and taking a risk and putting yourself out there, are just part of the journey," she said, adding, "They build character." She also played Sandy in the live Fox television production of Grease in 2016 and launched her Los Angeles dance and fitness studio KINRGY in 2018. "Being a founder is one of the hardest things you'll ever do because it's like you have an idea, and then you have to let it go and let it breathe and do its own thing," she shared, "The best compliment I get is when people come up to me and are like, 'Wow, everybody who's here made me feel so welcomed. What you've created here has allowed me to connect to my body and my confidence," reported People. (ANI)

Kelly Monaco reveals why she was almost talked out of joining ‘Dancing with the Stars'

Kelly Monaco almost cha-chaed her way out of the ballroom. The 'General Hospital' star, 49, recalled being told that participating in Season 1 of 'Dancing with the Stars' in 2005 would harm her career as an actress. Monaco had joined the ABC soap opera two years prior in 2003, as Sam McCall, when she got the offer to join the competition series. 11 Kelly Monaco and her partner, Alec Mazo on 'DWTS.' Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images 'I had a letter in my mailbox in my dressing room at 'General Hospital,'' she recounted to Entertainment Weekly on Saturday. 'We have these little mailboxes outside of our dressing rooms, and there was a letter in there, and it was a request to do 'Dancing with the Stars.'' 'I remember bringing it home,' Monaco continued, 'and getting feedback from family, friends, and so forth, and they were like, 'You can't do a reality show. Actors don't do a reality show.'' At the time, the 'Welcome to Hollywood' alum wasn't well-versed in the world of dance. 11 Kelly Monaco reacts to her score on 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 1. Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images 'I had never heard of ballroom dancing before,' Monaco confessed. 'I had no idea what I was getting myself into. But I was just like, 'F–k it. I'll try anything once.' That's how I've always rolled in life. If an opportunity comes, I'll try it.' The soap opera star was partnered with pro dancer Alec Mazo and the pair competed against Trista Sutter and Louis van Amstel, John O'Hurley and Charlotte Jorgensen, Joey McIntyre and Ashly DelGrosso, Evander Holyfield and Edyta Śliwińska, and Rachel Hunter and Jonathan Roberts. 'The first season was only six episodes. It was a test run, and I was like, 'I'm not going to tell anyone I'm doing it and hopefully I get voted off first and no one will ever see it,'' Monaco told the outlet. 'After the first episode, I was horrified by the comments from the judges, and I got the lowest score, I think, ever in the history of 'Dancing With the Stars.' So, I was like, 'OK, it's on. We're going in and we're doing this.' Then I took it seriously, and I was all in at that point.' 11 Kelly Monaco won 'DWTS.' Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images As the weeks went by, the soap star was sure she would be eliminated from the series. 'I didn't think I was a good dancer at all. I improved weekly,' Monaco reminisced. 'I was so proud every week that I made it a week further,' she recounted. Monaco quickly became a fan favorite, but along with sharpening her dancing skills, there was one fashion mishap. 11 Kelly Monaco on ABC's 'Dancing With the Stars': 10th Anniversary Special.' Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images During Monaco and Mazo's samba during week four, the actress's dress broke. 'Alec was very strict, and he prepared me for every obstacle,' Monaco shared. 'He would have whoever was around throw obstacles at us. So, he prepared me for that, but oh my God, it was so scary. I felt like someone had a laser beam from five miles away and shot my costume. It was a countdown to going live, 'Five, four, three, pop!' I was like, 'What am I supposed to do?'' The former ABC star did what she could in the moment. 11 ABC's 'Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars.' Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images 'I know I get at least five counts of a walk over to Alec, walking toward him for our dance,' explained Monaco. 'But I remember looking at the judges, looking at whoever like, 'Is there a stop button? Okay, there's nothing. I just have to go through it.' So, I'm like, 'OK, well, I'll just hold my dress up while I dance.'' She gushed, 'Alec supported me every step of the way. I don't think I felt more confident in any dance.' However, Monaco's wardrobe malfunction marked 'the turnaround' of her 'experience with dance and the show.' 11 Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy. Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images 'After that, the audience related to me because I was on soap operas for so long, I had only been known as this villain and was only called by my soap name in public,' she elaborated. 'This gave the audience a chance to see the real me in a circumstance where you can either fall flat or rise above.' Monaco's hard work paid off, as she took home the Mirrorball Trophy that year. 'I was driven to win,' the 'General Hospital' alum admitted to ESPN in 2011. 'I didn't realize how many hours I had put in because I had the end goal of capturing the title and I achieved that.' 11 Kelly Monaco and Alec Mazo. After both stints in the ballroom, the Hollywood vet continued playing Sam McCall on 'General Hospital' until her 21-year run came to an end on November 1. In September, Monaco addressed her exit in a since-deleted Instagram response. 11 Kelly Monaco competes on Season 1 of 'DWTS.' Monaco answered: ''No primary role'.. do your homework. When Billy Miller was fired, Sam's storyline stopped. Stripping Sam of every characteristic she had. Something I worked for decades to build… Slowly dismantling her, into a character that I did not recognize, let alone the audience. Call it what you will… retaliation at it [sic] finest. I will give a proper statement. The truth will set you free.' Then, the reality star's mom, Carmina, took to her own Instagram to share a lengthy message about her daughter being let go from the long-running series. 11 Kelly Monaco and Nancy Lee Grahn on 'General Hospital.' ©ABC/Courtesy Everett Collection 'I want to take this moment to reach out to Kelly's incredible fans and express my deepest gratitude for the unwavering love, loyalty, and support you've shown her throughout her time on General Hospital,' she penned. 'On this final day, just four days shy of the anniversary of her first episode on October 1, 2003, Kelly will close the door of her dressing room for the last time.' Carmina noted that while it was a difficult transition for Monaco after two decades, the fan base helped make things a bit easier. 'This moment is a difficult one, but knowing that she has had such an incredible, devoted fan base has given her strength,' the former figure skater expressed. 'You've stood by her through every twist and turn, celebrating her achievements and providing comfort in the hard times. Your love and dedication have meant more than words can express, not only to Kelly but to all of us who care so deeply for her.' 11 Kelly Monaco, Jay Acovone, Steve Burton on 'General Hospital' in 2008. ©ABC/Courtesy Everett Collection In October, Monaco posted a photo of herself with her co-stars Kate Mansi, Nancy Lee Grahn and Kristen Vaganos while on set. Monaco was reportedly 'blindsided' by the network's decision to kill off her character. 11 John J.
