New stores are opening at two malls in Miami's Brickell area. See what's coming
The newly 'Simonized' Brickell City Centre mall in Miami announced plans to fill nearly 30,000 square feet with nine new stores, boutiques and a cafe.
During the same time frame, nearby Mary Brickell Village is also adding three new food spots, including one from a James Beard-winning chef with South Florida ties, and a California-based auto maker that sells electric vehicles.
'Bringing a James Beard winner and other nationally recognized names to Mary Brickell Village marks a meaningful milestone in its evolution,' said Dani Cohn, vice president of lifestyle leasing at owner and management company Kimco Realty.
What's coming to Brickell City Centre
Some of the new tenants at the open-air Brickell City Centre mall that opened in 2016 are already aboard. The newcomers are to roll out through 2025 into 2026, according to the mall.
The announcement arrived at the time Brickell City Centre changed hands from Swire Properties to new owner Simon Property Group. Simon already had a partial, but not managerial, stake in the mall. (That is similar to its arrangement with Aventura Mall. Simon currently owns Dadeland, The Falls and Sawgrass Mills malls, among other South Florida shopping plazas.)
'Each new brand joining Brickell City Centre reflects the evolution of this destination as a cornerstone of Miami,' said Swire's Senior Vice President David Martin in a statement to the Miami Herald. 'As global and digitally native brands choose to invest here, they affirm BCC's role as a place where commerce, community and culture converge.'
The additions are 'a clear reflection of where retail is headed,' Martin said, pitching toward immersive, 'lifestyle-oriented' retail environments that target millennial and Gen Z shoppers.
'Our vision has always been focused on building a destination that goes beyond retail and resonates with the way people shop and socialize today,' he said.
Here are the new debuts at the 500,000 square-foot Brickell City Centre at 701 S. Miami Ave.
Now open:
▪ Alo Yoga: Los Angeles-based premium lifestyle brand specializing in luxury activewear.
▪ Dior Beauty: Fragrance, makeup and skincare collections.
▪ Hapa Kristin: Korean eyewear brand, contact lenses, fashion-forward vision accessories.
▪ Joe & The Juice: Scandinavian cafe known for juices, coffee and bites in fast-casual atmosphere.
Summer openings:
▪ Aritzia: Vancouver, Canada-based design house known for style-forward wardrobe. Aritzia opened a store at Dadeland Mall in Kendall in December 2024, and in April 2022 opened at Aventura Mall.
▪ Harmont & Blaine: Italian men's and women's clothing brand founded in 1986 that offers Mediterranean-styled T-shirts, shoes, polo shirts, Bermuda shorts. You'll also find a location at Aventura Mall.
Fall debuts:
▪ Mejuri: Jewelry brand specializing in minimalist, everyday fine jewelry.
▪ Vuori: California-based activewear brand merging fitness and lifestyle apparel.
Coming in 2026:
▪ Massimo Dutti: Spanish fashion label for men and women, selling clothing and accessories. Joins a location at Aventura Mall.
What's coming to Mary Brickell Village

Here are the new tenants coming to Mary Brickell Village at 901 S. Miami Ave.
Opening late summer:
▪ Rivian: California-headquartered, all-electric automaker, will open a 4,000-square-foot space. There is a Rivian outlet at Aventura Mall, too.
Fall debut:
▪ Playa Bowls: New Jersey-based fast-casual chain known for smoothies, juices and acai, pitaya and coconut bowls.
Winter debut:
▪ Van Leeuwen: New York City cult-favorite dairy and vegan ice cream shop opens a 1,190-square-foot scoop shop this winter. Contemporary country-pop singer Maren Morris lent her name to an orange and vanilla Dreamsicle flavor for Van Leeuwen.
Coming late spring 2026:
▪ Uchibā: Translated as 'Uchi Bar' in Japanese, the izakaya‑inspired cocktail bar and sushi restaurant concept is from James Beard Award-winning chef and owner Tyson Cole. Mary Brickell Village will serve as Uchibā's first Florida location and its 3,581-square-foot space takes over the former Toscano Divino site. Sound familiar? This evolution of Cole's Austin restaurant Uchi joins an Uchiko (aka 'Child of Uchi') that opened in Wynwood in 2021. Another Uchiko opened in March at the Eighteen Sunset development on Purdy Avenue in Miami Beach's Sunset Harbour neighborhood.
