Anthony Mundine calls out longtime rival Danny Green's son after Rahim Mundine scores KO win
Anthony Mundine has used the chance to take a shot at his long-time rival, Danny Green, after his son Rahim 'The Dream' Mundine won his second career fight by knockout. The son of Anthony and grandson of Tony Mundine, Rahim stepped back into the ring after injury ruined his dreams of playing NRL. And he had few troubles with Joe Vatusaqata (1-5 record) on Wednesday night. On the Sonny Bill Williams and undercard, Mundine was far too strong for Fijian boxer Vatusaqata, knocking him down twice in the second round before his corner threw in the towel. You can watch the vicious knockout in the player above. 'I went back to footy and hurt myself again, so I was like nah, I'm going back to boxing,' Mundine said after improving his record to 2-0. However, his post-fight interview quickly became a chance for the Mundines to reignite their beef with the Greens. Danny Green fought two massive fights against Anthony Mundine during their careers in the ring, splitting them 1-1. But that didn't stop Mundine accusing Danny of being scared of fighting again and instead called out Green's son Archie, who has never had a professional or amateur fight, to box his son Rahim. 'It makes sense (for his son to fight Archie),' Mundine said after his son improved to 2-0. 'I pumped Danny a couple of times; he doesn't want to admit it. He reckons he won the third fight, but he doesn't want to do it again. 'I said let's do it again, but he doesn't want to do it because he knows what's up, but our boys can do it.' Rahim added: 'He hasn't fought yet, but I'm sure if he does his job in the next five years and I keep doing what I'm doing, the Mundine last name can whoop the Green last name again, you know what I mean?' Danny Green – who was working in the commentary box for Stan Sport – fired back at Mundine. 'I'm a nice guy that's why I didn't take the third fight. You took 11 years to do the rematch you pelican,' Green said. 'I love you too much, I'd hurt you too much. So yeah, 100% and Choc can't count, the W is next to my name. Look what's going to happen in the future, our sons are going to carry on our legacies.' Archie Green was also open to the idea of fighting Rahim. 'At the moment I am 17 and I'm about 56kg and definitely I want to have a fight (at amateur level) before the end of this year,' Archie said. 'Down the track definitely, but I just want to make the trilogy 2 and 1.'

Paul Gallen vs. Sonny Bill Williams super fight: Live blog, boxing card details
Heated words have been exchanged right up until the day of the fight, but the date has arrived when Paul Gallen and Sonny Bill Williams can finally settle their differences. Almost from the moment the fight was announced in April, the fury between both men has been palpable. Gallen's no-show at a press conference for the blockbuster fight in May only fuelled the fire of what is set to be a deeply personal fight, when Williams poked the bear with a jibe about drugs referencing the Cronulla supplements saga in 2011. Fast forward to the weigh-in during the week of the fight and the personal nature of the bout set to take place at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena at approximately 10pm (AEST) continued it's nasty turn. 'People in glasshouses shouldn't throw stones... basically you're a hypocrite,' Gallen told the media just metres away from his bitter rival. And then the press conference spiralled into about barbs about drugs before hitting a low point when Gallen interrogated the former All Black about charging people for food reviews. Even with Aussie boxing great Danny Green in attendance, Gallen did not hold back. 'You are a scumbag … you are a disgusting human being,' Gallen said. And there was more. But that is all now bye-the-bye, as the fight many rugby league and boxing followers have waited for, fast approaches. Gallen's overall record is 15 wins, including eight by knockout, two losses and one draw compared to Williams with nine wins (four by knockout) and one loss. The full fight card gets under way at 6pm (AEST).

Danny Green's warning about the hidden danger for Tim Tszyu in Sebastian Fundora rematch
He has promised another war, but Tim Tszyu has been warned his rematch with Sebastian Fundora w on't be as simple as picking up where he left off before his gruesome, fighting-changing cut. Tszyu dominated the opening two rounds of their first fight in Las Vegas last year, before copping an elbow to the top of the head that opened a horrendous cut which poured blood into his eyes. He fought the next 10 rounds with severely compromised vision, before losing a razor-thin split decision, with Fundora taking home the WBO and WBC world titles. But Fundora didn't get through the first few rounds unscathed. The 197cm tall Californian showed incredible grit to battle through a broken nose and bad lacerations inside his mouth, Aussie boxing icon Danny Green warns 'The Soul Taker' that Fundora's own ruggedness shouldn't go unnoticed. In 2011, Green was seemingly en route to scoring a WBC cruiserweight world title win over Poland's Krzysztof Wlodarczyk in Perth. He was well ahead on the scorecards before Wlodarczyk broke his nose late in the fight and ended up knocking him out in the 11th. 'I've suffered badly broken noses in fights,' Green told Code Sports. 'When I fought for the WBC cruiserweight world title, I was dominating the fight, and if my opponent hadn't broken my nose in round nine, I daresay I would've been victorious. 'I was ahead on the scorecards when I got knocked out, but my engine slowed down because I couldn't breathe. 'That broken nose and the cuts in the mouth, it would've made it really difficult. 'What that would've done to Fundora, it would've restricted his breathing, restricted his oxygen intake and limited his engine's capacity. 'He couldn't have the same output because he couldn't breathe, so his challenges were equally as significant as Tim Tszyu's not being able to see because of the blood.' While many boxing insiders considered Fundora to have an asterisk next to his name after becoming a unified world champion in such incredible circumstances, the 27-year-old silenced any doubters with a fourth round title defence over Chordale Booker in March. Tszyu is the betting favourite ahead of their rematch, but knows only too well how tough and how tough Fundora truly is. 'What Fundora had to go through as well, he had internal damage,' Tszyu told Code Sports. 'I had artificial damage – I was completely blindsided. 'It's a weird scenario. We both went through hell and back. We both faced our demons in that fight. 'That's why people will be talking about it for a long time, what we both went through and the fact that it was that close. 'That's the best thing about boxing. 'I'll be telling him this time to keep his elbows down this time.' If one judge had scored the 12th and final round in Tszyu's favour, the fight would have been a split draw and he would have left Vegas a world champion. With the cut and only having two weeks to prepare for the fight, it's why Tszyu still doesn't view the bloodbath defeat as a loss. 'The decision could've gone either way, so – it's weird – I came back and I didn't feel like it was a loss,' he said. 'This is a new chapter, a new beginning. 'I know Fundora is one hell of a fighter, one hell of a champion. The current king at 154. 'It's my turn to reclaim the throne. 'I've had 10 weeks to prepare for his style, which is a blessing. Knowing you have two weeks to prepare for Fundora is quite hard. 'That's no excuses, but I'm prepared. If you tell me tomorrow, we can go at it. It doesn't bother me. 'I'm just going to chop him. Slowly. Just chop him from the legs up.' Despite his warning, Green believes Tszyu will become a two-time world champion next weekend. 'I see Tim winning, he looked good in the first couple of rounds and was tagging Fundora nicely with the right hand,' he said. 'I think Tim will find a home for that right hand and I see Tim being victorious.'

Sugar Kane Watts selling Melbourne home
Champion Australian boxer 'Sugar' Kane Watts is set to auction his Langwarrin home on Saturday, and with approved plans for a second dwelling, it's tipped for a heavy-hitting result. Watts, who once fought Danny Green and challenged for a world title in Paris, held both the World Boxing Association Oceania and Australian cruiserweight belts during his 27-fight professional career, racking up 22 wins — including 14 by knockout. Known for his grit in the ring and powerful right hand, the Mornington Peninsula-based fighter earned a reputation as one of Australia's most relentless cruiserweights, with a boxing journey that took him from local bouts to international title contention. First look: Melb's $80m village unveiled Now, he's looking to offload his four-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 10 Kuranda St — a fully renovated family retreat on a generous 896sq m block with development upside already approved. The property includes two distinct living zones, a modern kitchen with stone benchtops, timber-style floors, updated bathrooms, and two log fireplaces. A spacious rear deck with a built-in spa overlooks a large backyard, offering both lifestyle and entertaining appeal. Watts has also added a self-contained upstairs retreat, complete with a bedroom, bathroom, living space and fireplace, making it ideal for multigenerational living, teenagers seeking independence, or long-stay guests. McGrath Langwarrin's Ty Luff said the listing had drawn strong and varied interest, with local families and upgraders joined by interstate buyers increasingly eyeing Langwarrin for its blend of space, lifestyle and affordability. 'You've got a stylish, move-in-ready home with approved plans for a four-bedroom, two-living townhouse at the rear,' Mr Luff said. 'That kind of flexibility is incredibly rare and adds real long-term value.' He said the approved permits gave buyers the option to build now or land bank for future growth, something becoming harder to find in the increasingly competitive outer southeast. Mr Luff added that the vendor's profile had sparked extra curiosity during inspections. 'Kane's a household name in boxing circles, and the attention to detail in this renovation reflects that same discipline and commitment,' he said. With buyers increasingly priced out of bayside and Mornington Peninsula suburbs, Langwarrin has emerged as a strong alternative, offering larger blocks, family-friendly streets, and easy access to schools, parks and the freeway. The home will go under the hammer at 11.30am Saturday, with a price guide of $990,000-$1.089m.
