Egypt's Mufti Receives Delegation from Al-Azhar Alumni Association in Bangladesh
Mohamed Mandour Dr. Nazir Mohamed Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, received a delegation from Al-Azhar Alumni Association in Bangladesh, led by Qazi Shamsuddin. The visit aimed to strengthen academic and religious cooperation. During the meeting, the Grand Mufti reaffirmed Dar al-Ifta's commitment to supporting religious institutions abroad and to providing scholarly guidance and training that reinforce Al-Azhar's centrist, moderate approach to Islam. The delegation expressed its deep appreciation for Dar al-Ifta's leading role in promoting balanced religious discourse and countering extremism. They also requested access to a selection of official fatwas and scholarly resources to support Islamic work and research efforts in Bangladesh.
