Early on, forward Cole Swider was hot as L.A. led by as many as six points in the second quarter. But the Nuggets started to pull away late in the third quarter, and they outscored L.A. 30-15 in the final frame en route to a 106-84 victory. Swider cooled off considerably after making five of his seven shot attempts in the first period. He finished 6-of-15 from the field and 2-of-8 from 3-point range, giving him 17 points. Off the bench, R.J. Davis, an undrafted guard out of the University of North Carolina, was 6-of-11 overall and also scored 17 points.
