Bosch Appoints Darren Chan As Managing Director For Malaysia
BUSINESS KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 (Bernama) -- Bosch has appointed Darren Chan Chon Hoe as managing director of Bosch Malaysia, the first Malaysian to assume that position, effective July 1, 2025. The new role is in addition to Chan's existing responsibilities as Bosch Rexroth Malaysia's chief executive officer and managing director, as well as Bosch Rexroth ASEAN's regional technology leader for industrial hydraulics, a statement said today. Chan succeeds Vijay Ratnaparkhe, the regional president of Bosch in Southeast Asia, who had served as interim managing director for the past 11 months. "With this appointment, Ratnaparkhe will now fully resume his regional responsibilities," the statement said. Chan brings over two decades of experience in industrial automation, having held leadership roles across Southeast Asia in sectors including electronics, semiconductors, automotive, and general industries, the statement said. He is honoured by the appointment and considers it an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to Malaysia's development. "By combining Bosch's more than a century of presence in Malaysia and over 3,700 associates across the country with my experience, I aim to strengthen public–private collaboration and advance continuous talent development, both of which are key to raising the country's gross national income per capita,' he said. Chan added that Bosch's worldwide footprint, with about 490 subsidiaries in over 60 countries, allows the company to combine global experience with local understanding. -- BERNAMA
