Star Copper to Acquire Copperline Property in British Columbia and Announces $2.5 Million LIFE Flow-Through Offering
VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESS Newswire / July 16, 2025 / Star Copper Corp. (CSE:STCU)(OTCQX:STCUF)(FWB:SOP) ('Star Copper' or the 'Company'), a critical mineral exploration and development company, is pleasedto announce that it has entered into a definitive agreement (the 'Agreement') to acquire (the 'Acquisition') a 100% interest in the Copperline Property ('Copperline', the 'Property' or the 'CopperlineProperty'), located in north-central British Columbia. 'The Copperline Property is an exciting addition to our growing portfolio of high-grade copper assets in British Columbia,' stated Darryl Jones, CEO of Star Copper Corp. 'With its compelling geology, strong infrastructure access, and historical grades, Copperline represents an exceptional grassroots copper-silver opportunity in a proven metallogenic belt.' The Copperline Property consists of eight mineral claims totaling approximately 4,502 hectares, situated near Skutsil Knob at the south end of the Driftwood Range, approximately 120 km north-northeast of Smithers, British Columbia (Figure 1). Under the Agreement, the Company has agreed to acquire Copperline in exchange for (i) cash, (ii) common shares of the Company ('Common Shares'), (iii) the grant of the Net Smelter Royalty (as defined below), and (iv) a Bonus payment (as defined below), subject to certain conditions. Highlights Figure 1: Map illustrating the regional location of the Copperline Project (After Prosper Gold). Property Overview The Copperline Property consists of eight mineral claims totaling approximately 4,502 hectares, located in north-central British Columbia near Skutsil Knob at the southern end of the Driftwood Range. The Property lies roughly 120 km north-northeast of Smithers and benefits from excellent regional infrastructure, including proximity to logging roads (within 5 km), the BC Rail Dease Lake extension (11 km), and hydroelectric potential via the nearby Kotsine River. The Property is accessible by road to within 5 km of the main mineralized zone, allowing for efficient mobilization of exploration crews and equipment. Geologically, the Copperline Property is underlain by subaerial volcanic rocks of the Lower Jurassic Telkwa Formation, part of the Hazelton Group. These rocks include andesitic to basaltic flows, breccias, and volcaniclastics, locally interbedded with sedimentary units such as redbeds and siltstones. The stratigraphy dips gently to the east and is structurally disrupted by north-northwest trending fault zones and fracture corridors, which are interpreted to control copper-silver mineralization. Copper-silver mineralization on the Property is characteristic of volcanic redbed copper systems and consists of disseminated and vein-controlled sulphides, including bornite, chalcocite, chalcopyrite, and tetrahedrite. Mineralization is typically hosted within massive volcanic units and associated with secondary structures such as shears, fractures, and bedding-parallel veins. Key alteration assemblages include epidote, chlorite, calcite, hematite, and silica, with 'rusty zones' and green alteration halos acting as reliable visual pathfinders in outcrop and float. Historical exploration dates back to the 1930s, with trenching by Cominco followed by diamond drilling in the 1970s by Craigmont Mines Ltd., and further work by Kit Resources Ltd. in the early 2000s. Key Historical Drilling Results include: Craigmont Mines Ltd. (1973-1974)* *Drilling data compiled from Craigmont Mines in ARIS 27276 Kit Resources Ltd. (2003) In 2003, Kit Resources also discovered additional zones of mineralization northeast of the Main Zone, including the West Zone and Dave's Zone. The West Zone returned average grab values of 2.82% Cu and 71.44 g/t Ag, while Dave's Zone produced a grab sample grading 0.17% Cu and 229 g/t Ag, highlighting the potential for multiple stacked lenses or structurally controlled zones across the broader Property area3. Star Copper plans to compile legacy data, create a 3D geological model, and execute a staged exploration program that includes surface mapping, geophysics (IP and magnetics), and diamond drilling focused on both Main Zone extensions and new target areas. National Instrument 43-101 Disclosure Nicholas Rodway, (EGBC Licence# 46541) (Permit to Practice# 100359), is an independent contractor to the Company and a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101. Mr. Rodway has reviewed and approved the technical content in this release. Acquisition Terms The Company entered into the Agreement with Zimtu Capital Corp. (TSXV: ZC) (the 'Vendor') on July 14, 2025; Zimtu is not a 'Related Person' of the Company, as that term is defined in the policies of the Canadian Securities Exchange ('CSE'). Pursuant to the Agreement, the Company has agreed to acquire Copperline from the Vendor in consideration for: In addition to the foregoing, if the Company publishes a mineral resource estimate prepared in accordance with Form 43-101F1 of NI 43-101 in respect of the Copperline Property (the 'Resource Estimate') disclosing any combination of measured, indicated or inferred mineral resources in excess of either (i) 500,000,000 pounds of copper, or (ii) 15,000,000 ounces of silver, then the Company will pay the Vendor an additional amount of $1,500,000 (the 'Bonus'), consisting of: The Consideration Shares and the Bonus Share (if any), when issued, will be subject to a statutory hold period of four months and one day from the date of issuance of such Common Shares. Closing of the Acquisition is subject to certain conditions and approvals, including (i) the execution of a royalty agreement for the Net Smelter Royalty in accordance with the terms set forth in the Agreement, (ii) the receipt of all required consents and regulatory approvals, including without limitation the acceptance of the TSX Venture Exchange ('TSXV') and the consent of the CSE, and (iii) such other customary conditions for a transaction such as the Acquisition. The Acquisition is not conditional in any way upon the completion, partial or otherwise, of the LIFE Offering (as defined below). LIFE Flow Through Offering The Company is pleased to announce that it intends to complete a non-brokered private placement for gross proceeds of up to C$2,500,000.50 from the sale of up to 1,666,667 'flow-through' units of the Company (each, a 'FT Unit', and collectively, the 'FT Units') at a price of C$1.50 per FT Unit (the 'LIFE Offering') under the Listed Issuer Financing Exemption (as defined below). Each FT Unit will consist of one 'flow-through' Common Share (each, a 'FT Share' and collectively, 'FT Shares') and one 'flow-through' Common Share purchase warrant (each a 'FT Warrant' and collectively, 'FT Warrants'), issued as 'flow-through shares', as defined in subsection 66(15) of the Income Tax Act (Canada) (the 'Tax Act'). Each FT Warrant will be exercisable to acquire one Common Share (each a 'Warrant Share', and collectively, 'Warrant Shares') at a price of $1.60 per Warrant Share for a period of 24 months from the LIFE Closing Date (as defined below). The Warrant Shares underlying the FT Units will not qualify as 'flow-through shares' under the Tax Act. The FT Warrants to be issued pursuant to the LIFE Offering will not be listed for trading on any stock exchange. The LIFE Offering is expected to close on or about July 23, 2025 (the 'LIFE Closing Date'), or such other date as determined by the Company, such date being no later than 45 days from the date the Company issues a press release announcing the LIFE Offering. Subject to compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and in accordance with National Instrument 45-106 - Prospectus Exemptions ('NI 45-106"), the LIFE Offering is being made to purchasers resident in all provinces of Canada, except Quebec, pursuant to the listed issuer financing exemption under Part 5A of NI 45-106 (the 'Listed Issuer Financing Exemption'). The securities offered under the Listed Issuer Financing Exemption will not be subject to a hold period in accordance with applicable Canadian securities laws. The gross proceeds of the LIFE Offering will be used to incur 'Canadian exploration expenses' that are 'flow-through critical mineral mining expenditures', within the meaning of the Tax Act, on the Company's flagship Star Project. There is an offering document (the 'Offering Document') related to the LIFE Offering that can be accessed under the Company's issuer profile on SEDAR+ at and on the Company's website at: Prospective investors should read this Offering Document before making an investment decision. The Company may pay finder's fees in connection with the LIFE Offering in accordance with applicable securities laws and the policies of the CSE. Completion of the LIFE Offering is subject to customary conditions and the receipt of all necessary approvals. "With its compelling geology, strong infrastructure access, and historical grades, Copperline represents an exceptional grassroots copper-silver opportunity in a proven metallogenic belt." The Copperline Property consists of eight mineral claims totaling approximately 4,502 hectares, situated near Skutsil Knob at the south end of the Driftwood Range, approximately 120 km north-northeast of Smithers, British Columbia (Figure 1). Under the Agreement, the Company has agreed to acquire Copperline in exchange for (i) cash, (ii) common shares of the Company ("Common Shares"), (iii) the grant of the Net Smelter Royalty (as defined below), and (iv) a Bonus payment (as defined below), subject to certain conditions. Highlights High-Grade Copper-Silver Showings: Drilling, and surface sampling have returned intervals including 25.0 m of 2.54% Cu, 50.4 g/t Ag (DR-9)2, 3.7 m of 2.5% Cu, 76.6 g/t Ag (CL-16)3, and grab samples up to 8.51% Cu and 200 g/t Ag5. Favourable Geology: Mineralization comprises fine-grained bornite, chalcocite, tetrahedrite, and chalcopyrite within subaerial Telkwa volcanics, consistent with volcanic redbed copper deposit models4. Strong Infrastructure & Access: Located within 5 km of logging roads and 11 km from the BC Rail Dease Lake extension5(Figure 1). Exploration Upside: In 2003 several new zones of mineralization were discovered, including the West Zone and Dave's Zone. Grab samples from the West Zone averaged 2.8% Cu and 71 g/t Ag, while a sample from Dave's Zone returned 0.17% Cu and 229 g/t Ag3. Mineralized zones and interpreted structural controls suggest the potential for stacked lenses. Multiple "rusty zones" were identified during prospecting northeast of the "main zone" offering potential for new mineralized zones to be discovered. The Company plans to compile data and create the first 3D model of the Copperline system to plan for the first exploration program. Star Copper Confirms Two Prospective Copper Zones and Identifies Large Magnetic Anomaly as Daily Drilling Continues
VANCOUVER, BC / / July 8, 2025 / Star Copper Corp. (CSE:STCU)(OTCQX:STCUF)(FWB:SOP) ("Star Copper" or the "Company"), a critical mineral exploration and development company, is pleased to provide the latest update regarding its ongoing drill campaign at its 100% owned 6,829-hectare (~16,875 acre) flagship Star Project in the "Golden Triangle" of British Columbia. While the Company's drilling campaign continues expanding and deepening and strengthening the known elevated grade copper discovery at Star Main, exciting exploration results have been unearthed at Star North, Star East and Star West. Soil and rock samples collected at Star North and East provide a clear demonstration of intrusive and porphyritic mineralization that aligns with elevated soil sample anomalies and Induced Polarization (IP) chargeability signatures. Star West soil samples provide a high proportion of 90th percentile soil anomalies. Combined, Star North, East and West are prime additional targets to the already-discovered, Star Main porphyry asset. Company CEO, Darryl Jones comments, "Concurrent to our drill campaign, the field crew has been advancing prospecting, mapping, and sampling at two localized targets previously identified as Star North and Star East. The preliminary results are compelling, and we aim to investigate them at depth as soon as possible. Intriguingly, a new target identified as Star West presents a large magnetic anomaly quite close to our field camp and given its relatively easy access has been prioritized for further study as part of the current campaign. So far, the scope and quality of the data continues to increase the probability of defining what we believe may be a large-scale copper-gold system. Every day provides us with new and exciting data and the enthusiasm across the entire team is palpable." Drillhole B (S-051) completed, andC (S-052) underway S-051 confirms continued elevated supergene copper oxide mineralization near surface, with strong potassic alteration zones dominating to the end of hole at 539m deep. Vein hosted and disseminated copper mineralization continues beneath the supergene cap, extending the copper footprint down-dip and along strike from S-050, significantly strengthening the case for a large, high-grade porphyry copper-gold center at Star Main. Drillhole C (S-052)targets an intersection identified previously in hole S-037*, which provided 142 meters grading 0.43% Cu (copper). Deeper intercepts aim to test for structurally controlled gold enrichment, where prior results returned a composite grade of 12 meters at 2.33 g/t Au (gold) from 608-620 meters near the bottom of hole S-037*. Geology Sampling Upon commencement of activity at the Star Project, field crews initiated a sampling program of the Star North and Star East targets. A total of 114 rocks and 30 soil samples were collected at Star North and 59 rock samples at Star East. Preliminary XRF analysis was undertaken onsite with prospective samples prepared and shipped to the lab. The geologists followed up on historic soil anomalies coincident with IP chargeability highs, identifying and mapping several well mineralized intrusive and porphyritic samples. Star North / Star East Received soil assays and rock portable XRF data confirm Cu (copper) anomalies within two zones, both with a roughly SW-NE orientation (see Figure 1). Remaining assays for Star North Rocks (118) and Star East Rock (59) are anticipated shortly. Star West An additional target area was identified close to camp with a high proportion of 90th percentile soils from a 2013 study. This cluster is within and along the contact of a mapped quartz monzodiorite diorite (QMD) intrusive but has yet to be sampled. Field crews have completed soils extensions to the northwest and southwest and will complete trenching, mapping, and rock sampling in the coming days (see figures 2 and 3). Campaign Strategy As described in the June 10th, 2025 news release, the fully funded 2025 campaign is focused on expanding the existing discovery at Star Main, in addition to enhanced exploration at the multiple targets within the Star Project. The Company has targeted the Star Main, Star North, Star East and Star West prospects. Drilling is targeting (i) the near-surface oxide zones, (ii) deep porphyry-style mineralization, and (iii) structures associated with the "Star Fault" and "Dick Creek Fault" with up to 4,000 meters of drilling. The Star Main discovery contains an extensive, near-surface, supergene zone, and the current campaign (see May 27, 2025 news release) was designed to test both the lateral and vertical continuity of mineralized zones previously identified from over $10 million in prior drilling and exploration programs. Ruffling feathers: should you be feeding the birds in your backyard?
Getting to know the native birds in your backyard is a beloved pastime for most Aussies, but should we be feeding our feathered friends? Bird feeding is a common practice worldwide, but in Australia, it remains a contentious issue, with government agencies and wildlife organisations strongly discouraging and in some cases prohibiting the practice. Urban ecologist Professor Darryl Jones changed his mind about bird feeding when he found that, despite being publicly shunned, most Australians feed birds. "Between a third and a half of Australians anywhere in Australia are at any one time feeding birds," Professor Jones said. "I realised that people were not going to stop feeding birds, that in some cases, they were inadvertently, without even knowing, feeding them the wrong things, "There's no information because if you asked the local authorities or went to the council or the rangers or anybody and said 'What do you think I should feed the magpies?', you would get the absolute without a doubt, they would say 'You shouldn't be feeding them at all!''' This inspired Professor Jones to write a bird feeding guide for Australians, 'Feeding the birds at your table'. "I really do think you can feed birds in Australia as long as you're careful and feed the right things," he said. Click the map below to see the law in your state or territory. In Western Australia and the Northern Territory, it is illegal to feed native birds. The maximum penalty in WA for feeding fauna is a $20,000 fine. In most other states and territories, it is illegal to feed native birds and wildlife in national parks and reserves (ACT, VIC, QLD, and TAS). Some local councils prohibit bird feeding, usually when it has become a nuisance, and they can issue fines. Australia's largest rescue organisation, WIRES (Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service), strongly implores people to never feed wildlife. WIRES is licensed in NSW to rehabilitate injured, sick and orphaned protected animals by the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service. As a WIRES wildlife emergency responder, Kyana McPherson witnesses the consequences of bird feeding on a daily basis. "Although it can be tempting to feed wildlife, particularly birds, it's usually best to avoid this practice," she said. "Some foods, such as bread and mince, can cause health impacts for birds and nutritional deficiencies. It also brings birds closer together and can potentially spread infectious diseases. One such disease is bird and feather disease, also known as psittacine circovirus (PCV), which has high death rates and currently has no effective treatment. "It's quite prevalent in rainbow lorikeets and cockatoos, and it's highly contagious and can be spread on surfaces," Ms McPherson said. Professor Jones agrees that infectious diseases are a risk, which is why he emphasises the importance of cleaning bird feeders daily. Feeding native birds can change the balance of their diet, increase aggression, encourage dependency and cause sicknesses and deformities, according to WIRES. "I know we all want to help our birds and wildlife, [but bird feeding] generally does more harm than good," Ms McPherson said. "If we do want to help, we can look into planting some native shrubs in our garden." Queensland authorities continue to warn people not to feed cassowaries due to both the risk to humans and the impact on the endangered species. A man in his seventies was kicked in the leg by a cassowary in his Cardwell backyard in April 2025 and treated for a cut to his leg. In Queensland, feeding dangerous wildlife, such as cassowaries is illegal. Cassowaries have sharp, three-toed claws, including a middle dagger-like claw that can grow up to 10cm long and is used in self-defence. "When cassowaries associate humans with food, they can become impatient and aggressive, particularly when accompanied by chicks," wildlife ranger Jeff Lewis said in a statement. One of the most common birds being fed is magpies, according to Professor Jones' research. Unfortunately, most people feed magpies minced meat, which can be seriously harmful to them. "We really have to stop feeding any bird's mince. It just doesn't have enough calcium," Professor Jones said. "No bird just eats eat all the parts of the animal's body." Until Australians can easily purchase an artificial worm or invertebrate, Professor Jones recommends dry cat or dog food for magpies. He recommends purchasing bird seeds manufactured by a reputable pet food company instead of the cheaper supermarket versions. When feeding birds, Professor Jones said it should be considered a snack, equivalent to approximately a cup of food. "It's not a whole meal. It's just a snack. So just a little bit, and when it's all gone, that's fine. You don't need to put any more out," he said. Bird feeding is not necessary for birds except during extreme weather events like the Black Summer 2019-20 bushfires, Professor Jones explained. "We're putting out food for us to enjoy the birds. The birds don't need it." While bird feeding may be contentious, most government and wildlife organisations agree that leaving water out for wildlife is a good idea. The South Australian Department for Environment and Water discourages people from feeding or providing water to wildlife. "Water can be a great lifeline, specifically on hot days," WIRES wildlife emergency responder, Kyana McPherson, said. "I would suggest using a very shallow dish and cleaning it regularly, and also placing something like a stick or a rock into the water, so any small animal that may fall into the water can climb back out again." Star Copper Completes 2nd Drill Hole Confirming Copper-Gold Extension Down-Dip and Along Strike
VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESS Newswire / June 30, 2025 / Star Copper Corp. (CSE:STCU)(OTC:STCUF)(FWB:SOP) ('Star Copper' or the 'Company'), a critical mineral exploration and development company, is pleased to provide the latest update regarding its ongoing drill campaign at its 100% owned 6,829-hectare (~16,875 acre) flagship Star Project in the 'Golden Triangle' of British Columbia. The second drillhole of the current campaign boosts the case for a high-grade copper porphyry center at the Star Main project area. Drillhole B has confirmed a supergene cap near surface and has extended the copper footprint down-dip and along strike from the previous hole. Company CEO, Darryl Jones notes, 'We're systematically unlocking the value of a $10 million historical exploration database and building on it with targeted, modern exploration. Our team is eager to deliver on this inaugural drill program. Every meter of core we collect brings us closer to defining a large-scale copper-gold system, and the geological indicators we're seeing-both near surface and at depth-are highly encouraging. We're confident that continued drilling will continue to validate the scale and quality of the Star Project.' Drillhole B (S-051) is completed. It collared 60m west of S-050 at, was drilled to 539m, the fourth deepest in the property's history. The hole was drilled to confirm and extend near surface supergene copper-gold mineralization, characterize mineralization related to the Star Fault, and to test the depth of mineralization below 200m. From surface to roughly 90 m, plagioclase porphyry and lapilli tuff units are intruded by a sequence of strongly oxidized and silicified quartz-diorite containing numerous fractures and vein hosted copper mineralization. Malachite- and azurite-coated fractures form a supergene blanket that upgrades earlier chalcopyrite, with local peaks of 1.25 % chalcopyrite between 57-62 m. Below the oxide cap, primary chalcopyrite occurs as disseminations and B-type quartz-sulphide veinlets, highlighted by two deeper zones of elevated tenor: 203-213 m (to 1.5 % chalcopyrite) and 379-400 m (to 2% chalcopyrite). Both are spatially associated with discrete potassic (potassium-feldspar) alteration halos that intensify between 410-473 m, suggesting proximity to the system's potassic core. Several clay-rich fault zones at 96-102 m, 139-143 m and 514-517 m truncate core locally but do not materially offset the mineralized envelope. S-051 confirms high-grade copper mineralization near surface, with strong potassic alteration zones persisting to the end of hole at 539m deep (see figure 1). Vein hosted and disseminated copper mineralization continues beneath the supergene cap, extending the copper footprint down-dip and along strike from S-050, significantly strengthening the case for a large, high-grade porphyry Cu (±Au) centre at Star Main. Drillhole C (S-052) is underway and steps out approximately 50 meters north of hole B (S-051) to test the extent of the supergene copper enrichment zone and evaluate the continuity of the mineralized domain at depth. The crew reports coring is underway and initially encountered abrasive ground at 124m. The team reamed the hole to bottom and advanced to 127m at which point the HQ (2 ½" diameter) rods were withdrawn and replaced with NQ (1 ⅞" diameter) rods to improve efficiency and have continued drilling to a depth of 155m currently. The latest report indicates the core has improved and drilling continues as planned. The plan is to intersect the 142 meters grading 0.43% Cu in hole S-0371. Deeper intercepts aim to test for structurally controlled gold enrichment, where prior results returned 12 meters at 2.33 g/t Au at approximately 650 meters at the bottom of hole S-0371. Campaign Strategy As described in the June 10th, 2025 news release, the fully funded 2025 campaign is focused on expanding the existing discovery at Star Main, in addition to enhanced exploration at the multiple targets within the Star Project. The Company has targeted the Star Main, Star North, and Star East prospects. Drilling is targeting (i) the near-surface oxide zones, (ii) deep porphyry-style mineralization, and (iii) structures associated with the 'Star Fault' and 'Dick Creek Fault' with up to 4,000 meters of drilling. The Star Main discovery contains an extensive, near-surface, supergene zone, and the current campaign (see May 27, 2025 news release ) was designed to test both the lateral and vertical continuity of mineralized zones previously identified from over $10 million in prior drilling and exploration programs. Qualified Person Jeremy Hanson, P. Geo., a Qualified Person as that term is defined under NI 43-101, is an advisor to the Company and has reviewed and approved the technical aspects of this news release.
