The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 Release Date, Trailer, Where to Watch
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3" release date is confirmed, alongside a bunch of juicy new details. In this article you'll find everything you need to know, including the show's release date, where you can stream it, and key plot details. The biggest one, of course, is the setting - there's never been a The Walking Dead series like this. Set in Spain, a first for the zombie-filled show and its numerous spinoffs, we'll see fan-favourite character Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) slay walkers in sunnier climes than he's used to. Norman Reedus stars in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 Norman Reedus stars in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 AMC Read on for all the facts about "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3". The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 Story In "Season 3 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon", we follow old friends Daryl and Carol (Melissa McBride) as they try and find a route home. The way back is anything but simple, however. Now in Spain, they're forced to confront a post-apocalyptic Mediterranean land filled with sun-baked zombies, sieges in historic towns, and all manner of bad guys (one particular nasty one wielding a massive battle axe, as shown in the trailer below). What Happened in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2? In the previous season, Dixon washes ashore in France, only he doesn't know why. The series follows his journey as he fights against the undead on a whole new continent. What Happened in The Walking Dead: The Book of Carol? "The Walking Dead: The Book of Carol" picks up where "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2" ends. Daryl stays in France, Carol sets off to find her sister, and Genet (Anne Charrier) is more powerful than ever. This sets up an almighty clash between the Pouvoir movement and the Union of Hope, with the future of France hanging in the balance. It's unlikely we'll see a resolution to that plot arc in "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon", though. Why is The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 Set in Spain? Executive Producer Steve Squillante has provided more than enough justification for taking "The Walking Dead" to Spain. "Spain has a really wonderful canvas that I don't believe viewers are quite as familiar with," Squillante tells Variety. "Even though it's a post-apocalyptic world, you see pieces of culture and history, and people don't realize or the actual impressive cultural and environmental diversity in a country the size of Spain." The road home is brutal and the fight to survive is far from over. #DarylDixon Season 3 premieres September 7 exclusively on AMC & AMC+. — The Walking Dead (@WalkingDead_AMC) June 23, 2025 "This is not an American show that's just relocated to France and then to Spain to shoot another version of an American show," Squillante continues. According to him, "95%-plus" of Season 3 was filmed in Spain, including Barcelona, Seville, Granada, and the ruins of Belchite, a town devastated during the 1936-39 Spanish Civil War. There's apparently also a stunning train sequence Squillante teases will "blow people away." The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 Release Date "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3" premieres September 7, 2025, as confirmed by AMC. UK viewers, will need to wait four days later on September 11, 2025. That's if it follows the schedule from "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2", which in the UK aired four days behind the US on Sky and NOW. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 Where to Watch The show is exclusive to AMC & AMC+ , so you'll need a subscription to the platform in order to watch it. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 Trailer Here's the latest trailer for "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3", giving you a sneak peak of what you're in for. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3: Cast The new season adds three major new characters. These are Eduardo Noriega (The Devil's Backbone), Óscar Jaenada (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), and Alexandra Masangkay (The Platform). THE WALKING DEAD's Scott Gimple Says Don't Count on THE ONES WHO LIVE Season 2, but That Doesn't Mean It's Over — GeekTyrant
With The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon already on its second season and Dead City set to return in May, fans have been wondering about the future of The Ones Who Live . The limited series brought back Rick and Michonne for a long-awaited reunion, but is there more to their story? So far, AMC hasn't announced a renewal, and based on recent comments from The Walking Dead 's chief content officer Scott Gimple, it sounds like we shouldn't expect one. He said: "I mean, the plan was to keep it limited.' Reinforcing the idea that The Ones Who Live was always meant to be a one-off. But that doesn't necessarily mean we've seen the last of Rick and Michonne. He added: "Not necessarily never to see those characters again, but to keep it limited. But I always say, you never know." The series, starring Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira, follows Rick and Michonne years after they were separated in the main show. Rick, a reluctant prisoner of the Civic Republic Military, is finally reunited with Michonne, and together, they take on the CRM's questionable plans for rebuilding civilization. Gimple, however, isn't shutting the door completely. "There's so many... I've been very careful to not say, 'Oh, that'll never happen,' because it does. "So you know, there are possibilities. And there's possibilities of all sorts of strange iterations of shows with those characters and with other characters. So you know, I think it's entirely possible." Lincoln also previoiusly weighed in on the possibility of reprising the role of Rick again at some point in the future, saying: "This, for me, felt that we could comfortably say that that's done.' He continued: 'That's a reunion; that's the perfect iteration of a story that I thought wasn't gonna happen for a time, and then Danai and Scott both said, 'We need to reunite, we've got to do an epic love story.' "I went, 'That's a great idea – and let's tell the story of the CRM and do what the grown-ups have been doing' and maybe some filling in, because I love all of that.' He went on to say that he's not counting out a possible return: "I'm a bit of a geek for all of the mythology and what's going on, what's been happening. So the short answer is never say never. 'Because if there's a good enough place to put Rick in, that we haven't seen before, there are characters out in the universe that I would love to act with again. But it has to be a really, really, really good story." We'll just have to wait and see how things continue to play out in the franchise. While The Ones Who Live might not get a second season, it sounds like this isn't the last time we'll see Rick and Michonne in action. Source: The Direct

THE WALKING DEAD: DARYL DIXON Season 3 Promo Spot Announces September Premiere Date — GeekTyrant
AMC has officially set the return date for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon , and if you've been following the post-apocalyptic adventures of Daryl and Carol, Season 3 is set to premiere Sunday, September 7th. This season brings back Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride front and center, continuing the story of two longtime survivors now navigating a very different kind of wasteland. While Season 2 reintroduced Carol to the fold, Season 3 doubles down on their dynamic as they attempt to make their way back home, though, of course, the road is anything but clear. The new season is packed with familiar faces and fresh threats. Returning cast includes Candela Saitta, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usín, Stephen Merchant, Hugo Arbués, and Greta Fernández. Joining the crew as series regulars are Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay. Daryl actor and executive producer Norman Reedus previously teased how special this chapter has been for him, saying: 'I couldn't be more thrilled to announce a third season and to be working side by side with the brilliant Melissa McBride. Season 2 is some of my favorite storytelling of this series. Watching Melissa shine along with our brilliant cast and crew has been one of my fondest memories playing this character.' That storytelling has come with some added international flair, thanks to the series' location shift. Showrunner David Zabel explained it well in an earlier interview: 'It's one of the things that distinguishes us from the other 'Walking Dead' shows — that we get to show how different parts of the world have responded to the walker apocalypse and the different impact it has had in different places and come up with some cool, new things that you don't see in the American versions.' Have you been watching and enjoying this series?
