Mob goes on looting spree after truck crashes on N3
A dramatic scene unfolded on the N3 northbound near Van Reenen police station today (July 8) after a truck overturned, sparking chaos in the area.
The truck was carrying rice, which proved too tempting for a gathering crowd to resist. Soon, dozens of people were seen rushing to the truck, grabbing bags of rice and making off with them. Some individuals loaded the rice into their vehicles, while others fled on foot, eager to claim their spoils.

No injuries were reported.
Dave's Towing are currently on scene, carrying out recovery operations. N3TC and emergency personnel also responded to the incident.
