BTIG Launches Hedge Fund Solutions Group to Meet Evolving Client Needs
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- BTIG announced today the formation of its Hedge Fund Solutions Group. Paul Covello and David Gold will serve as Co-Heads of the U.S. division, with Trevor Harrison, Chief Executive Officer of BTIG Singapore, leading efforts in the APAC region. The Tactical Hedge Fund Group based in London will continue to support the firm's client base across EMEA. The Hedge Fund Solutions Group will work alongside the firm's institutional businesses, outsource trading and prime brokerage teams to provide advisory services to hedge funds and family offices, with a focus on business strategy, infrastructure, due diligence, compliance, talent management and technology. Paul Covello joins BTIG as a Managing Director with more than 25 years of industry experience, including both buy- and sell-side roles. Most recently, he was the Global Head of Outsource Trading at Jefferies, where he led teams in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and developed strategies and solutions for hedge fund clients across the globe. His previous roles include Global Head of Trading at Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn and trading positions at JAT Capital and Pequot Capital. David Gold also joins the firm as a Managing Director. Previously, he was the Global Chief Operating Officer at Optima Partners, responsible for global business operations, HR, IT, and finance. Prior to that, he was an Executive Director for Morgan Stanley's Prime Brokerage Business Consulting team, advising start-up and existing hedge fund managers. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Willis Towers Watson, BlackRock, Mitsui & Co., and CIBC Oppenheimer. Trevor Harrison is currently the Chief Executive Officer of BTIG Singapore. Previously, he was a Vice President of Sales and Capital Introduction at Citigroup Global Markets Holdings Inc., where he was responsible for Prime Brokerage in the Australian market. Prior to that, he held sales and marketing roles at State Street Australia Limited. United confirm pre-season schedule
Dundee United have finalised their pre-season schedule, which includes a trip to the Tangerines had already confirmed their first two pre-season games, the first, at Glebe Park against former Tangerine midfielder Ray Mackinnon's Brechin City on Saturday 28 June, and then, seven days later, their trip to Arbroath in player-manager David Gold's their trip to Gayfield, Jim Goodwin's side will head to the Netherlands for a training camp, before taking on PEC Zwolle at Sportpark Bovenmolen in Oldebroe on Friday, 11 their return to home shores, they make the short trip to Scottish Championship side St Johnstone four days after facing the Eredivisie visit of League Two Oldham rounds off the pre-season action on Saturday, 19 July before United turn their attention to their European exploits.

United to face Arbroath in pre-season
Dundee United will face Championship newcomers Arbroath next month in a pre-season friendly that doubles as a testimonial for David Goodwin's side travel to Gayfield on Saturday 5 July (14:00 BST) to honour player-manager Gold, who has made over 300 Arbroath begin their pre-season schedule the previous weekend at former Tannadice midfielder Ray McKinnon's Brechin City as Goodwin's men build towards their Conference League second round qualifier on 24 July.

New stamps to celebrate the Royal Observatory
Featured on the main set of six stamps are the Airy Transit Circle Telescope; Flamsteed House; the Great Equatorial Telescope, the largest refracting telescope in the UK; the Annie Maunder Astrographic Telescope; the Prime Meridian; and the Shepherd Gate Clock. A further four stamps honour prize-winning clockmaker John Harrison and his marine timekeepers, ahead of the 250th anniversary of his death in 2026, showcasing each of his prototypes for measuring longitude at sea. The stamp images narrate the story of the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London and its role in the history of astronomy, timekeeping, and navigation. David Gold, Royal Mail's director of external affairs and policy, said: 'We are proud to honour the Royal Observatory's 350th anniversary with a set of stamps that celebrate its enduring legacy in advancing our understanding of the universe and its pivotal role in shaping modern science and navigation.'
